I know that it only works with public streams but I was also wondering if it works with member only ones as well ? Hi StreamElements Community,

I’m currently building a streamer-focused application and integrating multiple platforms, and also the StreamElements API using a JWT token.

While working with their platform, I noticed that the Activity Feed in the dashboard contains a long history of events, including subscriptions and gift subscriptions.
And that's exactly the part i want to have, because it's going back quite far (in some cases years).

However, when using the StreamElements API, I’m not able to retrieve this same historical activity data. From what I can tell, the available endpoints and real-time event systems don’t expose a full activity history.

So I wanted to ask:

• Is the historical data shown in the Activity Feed stored only internally by StreamElements?
• If so, is there any API endpoint (public or private) that allows access to this historical activity (especially subs, gift subs and cheers)?
• Are there any limitations when using JWT-based access that would prevent retrieving this data?
• Do you know any alternative methods (exports, partner access, or webhooks with replay) to access past events?

My goal is to build a system that tracks long-term supporter activity and show it in a graphical interface (especially subs, gift subs and cheers), and it would be extremely valuable to access this historical data if possible.

Anybody have a clue?

hi guys just want to share my issue that got solved by this, recently my OBS turns not responding whenever the app load with streamelements plugin is on.

the idea is same, to downgrade OBS version. as i'm using OBS on steam, what i do is set the app version to 32.0 in the steam app settings and now i can load my OBS again normally.

Hello! Im using the SE Live plugin with obs and yesterday everything worked fine, but since today my obs goes unresponsive after launch. If i boot obs in safe mode and disable SE Live everything works fine.

Hi there! I'm running into an issue with overlays. I'm going through the process of changing my alerts over to a new widget, and I'm going through the long process of re-adding all my various alert sound variations for cheer amounts, sub amounts etc. I've now lost hours of my time absolutely fighting Streamelements over this. I've gotten a chunk done, but the interface reaches a point where it just gives up? I go to "Save" in the top right, and down on the bottom right the little "Saving..." pop-up just perma-exists on the screen and never actually saves. I Lost hours of work because I didn't realize it at first, that it was no longer saving my changes.

Now that I've noticed, I'm basically at a complete halt because it won't save even 1 more change at the moment. I'm not sure how to fix this. I've tried turning on hardware accel. in chrome, turning it off, I've tried a different browser. I've tried duplicating the widget and working from the copy to see if that was the issue. Nothing has resolved this :(

Visual example - I simply tried to Duplicate the last cheer alert, hit Save, and now the little "Saving..." is just on screen, never going away (which indicates it's not actually saving)

Hey I have a question in regards to streamelements and OBS if anyone could help. Randomly, i'll switch scenes to a scene with an overlay from streamelements which contains looped videos, and the video itself will not be there on OBS. I'm not sure if this is a streamelements issue or an OBS issue. Anyone have any ideas?
I can work around it by refreshing the source by swapping scenes but it's not super clean looking so I'd prefer a fix rather than a bandaid

No. It's a server-side setting on twitch that is accessed via a specific setting in OBS.

As I said unless the other platforms setup their backend to know "play on stream" vs "save to VOD" it's not possible.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

Anyway, I am use StreamElements to display Twitch Chat as a live overlay. However, any emojis or punctuation used at the end of a message are displaced to the front, before the person's name. I've done a fair bit of digging, I haven't found anyone else running into the same issue.

Youtube has it's own internal dual format system now. You just need to setup the horizontal stream in OBS (assuming you setup your alerts and what not to appear in the center so the vertical shows it)

i agree, if you are a streamer, and lets say a viewer makes a mistake and sends it through to s.e. pay rather than say paypal, there should be a button next to the transaction to refund it, simple as, not have to wait 3 hours for a response in code that anyone can barely understand to still not have it resolved, its frsustrating

then they tell you to contact support on the website through the dashboard, when you tell the bot what you want, it says it doesn't understand, and gives you an FAQ to tipping and that a request needs to be put in through them but when you do the cycle starts again, explain to me how this is fair on the streamer and the viewer in tandem

Also: I've been doing the show using Voicemeeter Banana to route the audio and I have an echo problem I haven't been able to solve. That is the motivation for setting up OBS. I have multiple sources: Google Meet, Google Voice, Discord, and my local headset; multiple outputs: Google Meet, Google Voice, Discord, YouTube, and my local headset or speaker. I generally don't have echo until I connect Discord... I'm trying to have each source routed to each of the outputs except itself. Do you think the OBS and StreamElements setup is going to help with this, or should I drop the OBS project and go deeper into my Voicemeeter setup?

im trying the multistream plugin and i have a few issues. the most annoying one is that for each tab pulled up it takes eons to load. this is especially frustrating when i wanna do something quick like pull up the settings to check something.

nope, all real folks on that link. in the overlay there is a 'reset boss' option but as i said, that doesnt appear to work, nowhere else to reset, i promise i looked hard at this before i asked haha

Dumb answer, but reset the boss, save the overlay and re-add it to OBS. Probably the best I can suggest. Can you submit a ticket for it so it's at least known that it's bugged?

having the same issue with my TikTok access application.. The button to "re-apply" is still there. Its just invisible. you can click on it, but things are invisible in the following page aswell. Not sure if tiktok is doing anything about this. That being said. If you dig through the html using your browsers dev tools (F12), you can find all the elements on the page and they do work. I was able to re-submit. its just not fun to go through.

1. if u plan to stream 2 entities on youtube at once, they will need different streamkey. just create new in youtube live control bc u can't use the same streamkey at the same time.

2. if still not work, try close and reopen obs and try start streaming

3. if still not work, try disconnect youtube from obs and just use the streamelements way and let it leads. if it leads u to login or connect, or choose livestream, just do it.

4. if still not work, try close and reopen obs and try start streaming

5. if still not work, try set video encoder in streamelements setting (for me, its gear icon in vertical canvas) set it and saves. it may crash after that but just close, reopen and do it until it not crash or u see the video encoder of vertical canvas becomes what u want

6. try start streaming. if evything looklike to work, but the livestream is not start on platforms, just close obs, reopen and start streaming

Ya there is a lot in there I don't use either. Added some of my own stuff to it. I mainly stream gaming content on YouTube myself, but thinking about branching out since they dropped a strike on a channel I don't even use over a movie play list. That platform seems moderated mostly by AI now days so customer support is next to non-existent unless you've made partner. If you don't care about keeping the vods then Twitch is a good choice for more social engagement. Twitch and Rumble are the two platforms I am personally considering branching out to. Just always remember to focus on the fun with it so it doesn't feel so much like a job when you do it and you will always have fun doing it mate.👍😎

so you can either delete them or you can mark them invisible in the layers list. I marked mine invisible and moved them. To edit you should be able to edit on the overlay itself. Some text are images though. so those you will not be able to edit. you will have to make a replacement image for it. The plus sign at the botton in the circle should give you options of what you can and can not do. pulling mine up now to look it over for you.

if you're talking about having chat show up on stream make sure you have the overlay window for it in sources in the order where it overlays over the video mate.

What I did was use one of the chat windows from my overlay and linked that directly in separately rather then linking the chat directly. so I used SE to filter issues that YouTube created with some changes that messed chat up for me. should work the same for any platform.

Hey guys, I’m having a weird issue with OBS and I can’t figure it out.

Basically I can’t select or move any sources in the preview. I don’t see the red bounding box on any source (webcam, game capture, etc.), so I’m unable to resize or reposition anything.

I’ve already tried:

• Unlocking all sources (none are locked)
• Disabling “Lock Preview”
• Resetting the UI
• Creating a new scene with a Color Source → same issue
• Restarting OBS

It feels like OBS isn’t entering edit/transform mode in the preview at all.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what could be causing it?

in OBS? As far as i'm aware, if in OBS you can you can setup a horizontal stream and users can select to watch it in either vert or hori. if you want a custom layout for both, I could be wrong but i think you can only achieve that in TikTok Live Studio due to how restricted TikTok is

Hey chat ive raised this issue with the support team but i thought if someone already knows the answer id probably get it quicker here.

ISSUE WITH SE.LIVE AND TIKTOK

So in the past I used TikTok live studio to stream to tiktok but it took to much resources when paired with OBS so i did some digging and found out i could do it through SE.Live plug in. It worked for a while, but i stopped streaming for a bit since i had to move apartments. Now when i try to go live on tiktok with OBS thru SE.Live it wont let me. Which is strange since i can go live on my phone and through TikTok live studio, but when I try to do it through OBS it just wont work.

For context the error im getting is: "TikTok output creation failed. I seems that you are not eligible to stream on TikTok. Please check your TikTok creator dashboard for more information" along with a button saying "View Live Access". When I click on this button it takes me to a tiktok page saying "Access Status. StreamElements. Not Approved or Revoked.".

After searching I havent found any answers to this; idk whether this page is suggesting my entire tiktok live ability is revoked in general (even though its not), or if the integration with streamelements is revoked. If so idk why or how i can reverse this, especially since it says my access with streamlabs is fine. Idk if this is a streamelements issue or a tiktok issue, and unfortunately streaming to tiktok thru its own app takes too many resources for me to use it.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this i would love to hear them!!!

The problem is you don't want to spam said users i take it so you'll have to clear your stats each time to be seen as a first time chatter

Much easier to setup an automated response for all first time chatters and if you wish reset the cache everytime you go live

this happens every time i want to stream to TikTok, its a TikTok issue unfortunately with how there api works (them wanting you to use their own software) as a fix though which you'll have to do every time. Delete the Tiktok output and add it back, takes about 30 secs, if you go live vertically on TikTok, remember to change your template back to vertical. again you'll have to do that every time

Not sure who this might help considering I only solved this problem myself a month later when SE didn't respond to my ticket, but if you had the same problem I had here Log into Tiktok using the QR code scanner instead of logging in through google or other credentials. For some reason StreamElements just doesn't mesh well with Tiktok opening popups through the OBS browser (or at least it doesn't for me)
