Hey @austere cargo Currently Rumble hasn't released a public API yet, so there's no way for us to properly integrate our tools until they do.

you can still stream to Rumble using OBS Studio with SE Live

you will just have a lot of StreamElements tools in SE Live that are not available on Rumble

like multi-chat, Activity Feed, etc.

afaik, our SE Live plug-in shouldn't prohibit you from streaming to Rumble using OBS Studio (as SE Live is just a plug-in for OBS)

that being said, if you do run into issues and are only streaming to Rumble, maybe uninstall SE Live

ahhh I think you're referring to the ability with SE Live to add 'elements' to your OBS

alerts, overlays, widgets and such

you can now add them while inside OBS Studio from our Elements Gallery

the alerts would not work with Rumble, but you can add other things to your stream set up

basically you would be adding things from this StreamElements website page: https://widgets.streamelements.com/

but do it directly from inside OBS Studio bc you have the SE Live plug-in installed

Yes and No.

You can share them but would need the person you want to share them with to give you an invite under their account settings to duplicate it.

Having the shortened links are not possible any more and even then limited to those who submit custom widgets for everyone or 3rd party business selling them.

Otherwise the only way to share overlays is using Elements which is entirely different from the Legacy Overlays.

It still tracks my points though, but for some reason StreamElements just doesn't think I have enough when I try to redeem.

Hi all, I joined the server because I wasn't searching up the right keywords around the 'net. Hopefully someone has experienced this before and can guide me. I have a user in Twitch chat who can't redeem any sound commands when they're in my stream. They receive a notice "You're redeeming too quickly" even when they wait a long time. I've checked my redeems, others have been able to successfully redeem, it's just this one user. Anyone dealt with this?

I see, so first you want to head to the "chatbot" tab on the streamelements website

Click on "chat commands", and then the "custom commands" tab

You want to add a new command using this button, and then fill in the keywork to trigger the command, and then what you want the bot to say after doing so, like in the example I have given

So in my example, anyone can put !discord in my twitch chat, and it puts the server link in the chat, which I find the most helpful! I also use the same thing but with a !socials command, that lists all of my socials including my discord server there that I use at the end of my stream

The warning you are seeing is because you have in the same scene a game capture source and a screenshot source in the same place and that can create an error, it is something that you should review, but I don't think that is the problem Why does it freeze, what version of obs are you using?

Tickets are worked in order, and depending on the queue and the complexity they may take longer. Emails and !ticket all go to the same place and submitting another ticket will not make it go faster

Plus the now "legacy overlay" system was definitely not something that could handle multistreaming due to the "limit" of customizations you could make before you cant do anything.

Hey I have been trying to get a hold of a real person for a very long time now. I am doing what I can to get this problem figured out and seemingly stream elements has been completely ignoring me and it’s extremely frustrating. Where are you expecting to see the emulated events? In the editor or in OBS?

I am about to release a bunch of custom widgets that i would like to sell as overlay on Etsy. One of the widgets is already finished, the shop is online - now all i need to know is how to "deploy" the custom widget on StreamElements, so that it is not visible in the "public gallery", but can be copied into the account of the buyer with a single click if he knows the URL.
Is there a way other than posting it to a public jsFiddle and have it reviewed from there? Some of the widgets won't even run there, since they rely on the SE API.
Any help greatly appreciated.

It used to be possible to apply for "One-Click Overlay Sharing," but that option is no longer available for the old Overlays.
The new Elements (beta) include this feature built-in, but the coding is entirely different from the old Overlays and is not backward compatible.

Since the sharing option wasn’t available to everyone for the old Overlays, I created a page where people could share them if they wanted. While the page wasn’t specifically designed for sellers, there’s nothing stopping you from using it for that purpose. You can share your overlays there without any issues.

depending on how long your stream is and how good your internet is, it can take anywhere between 1 to 24 hours. I suggest you play with your encoder and keep your vids at either 720p or 1080p.

I think you'd need to create 2 overlays, one with your "normal" alerts, and one with your "fullscreen" alerts. Pulled into OBS as 2 browser sources. Toggle the browser source as active for the alert you want displayed. (there very well might be better ways)

It could be the category, the tags, the time you did the live, it could be many things, or a poorly chosen day, or it could be that you had the obs in broadband test mode and it does not go live.

Consistency is a key factor, there are games that are more popular than others and therefore attract more audiences, playing with people could be a point to attract people, I am referring to multiplayer games, doing joint live shows with other broadcasters, do events within games, do challenges with the community, notify about live events on other platforms such as tiktok, or other sites, but the most important thing is consistency and having a good schedule, Research the game you are going to play, look at the category on Twitch, see if there are others that have more people to do, what tags they use, etc.

Older games tend to have a smaller audience because currently the largest audience is younger and they look for Twitch, for example, to play with the streamer and participate in the live stream and have the others in the chat see them how they play with the streamer.

I have done a few sponsors in the past and been paid for them, but this time stream elements have informed me they are not going to pay me for my hard work like they have done to 100's of other streamers.
I received a generic email and then a generic reply when i opened a ticket and now they do not reply at all any more.

Seeking a phone number and if not handled over the phone then i will be taking it to arbitration.
The 4 people who completed the goals were all people i know in real life and all 4 followed the terms and conditions completely. No reason at all to cancel it apart from fraud on S.E. side.

They have also erased evidence of people playing the game. On Dec 2nd and every day of the campaign including after it was complete it showed how many people were playing it daily. Now all that data has been erased.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Looks like OBS had a major update to Version 31.0.0, and the SE.Live plugin is having issues with it. Keep getting errors that OBS didnt shutdown correctly in the new version. Downgrading back to 30.2.3 seems to resolve all issues.

Tried doing a fresh boot with the plugin-config folder deleted, but still get issues.

The risk is way too high. i completed a few short ones and got paid for them all, then accepted a 30 day one with multiple goals, really pushed my viewers and friends to keep playing a game they all hated, then at the end got an email to inform me they are not paying it.

My current setup consists of an IRC connection to twitch and a selenium instance for each other stream with some javascript that sends the messages through web sockets to my server which has a chat window with all the chats together. Technically it is available for Mac.

"Technically" being the word along with it unfortunately being outdated AF and requiring an older version of OBS to be used (Which it supplies with the installer).

As far as being updated to coincide with the latest version of windows: No idea but something I'll bring it up again when we have another internal meeting.
