• Quality > quantity.
• Be consistent with content (stream game A on certain days, game B certain days, viewer games on others) You'll have viewers only there for certain games and viewers there for you no matter what the game is.
• Branch out, have content on multiple platforms. Twitch isn't great for growth.
• Don't use slow chat, subs only, followers only, etc.
• Treat it like a job

Or, if you don't want streaming to be your full time job, you don't have to do any of it, just have fun.

I am actually going to disagree with a few things. The first thing is, don't treat it. As a 4 time job, treat it as a hobby that you enjoy that you put a lot of time into. If you treat it like a job from my experience, people tend to see it and they give you the opposite reaction of what you want to if you treat it like a business, especially in the beginning. You kind of ruin how old they feel so. In the beginning, I was say treated as a hobby that you put a lot of effort into very similar to like when you see those people on t v building or I should say rebuilding old model cars

No I can only speak from my experience, but another thing I will sayes in the beginning correct, you don't want to use. Follow only sub only chats, but it will come in a while that as you roll, because if you do things that you enjoy. It relates to other people and you gain a following because you're more genuine. And the more genuine you are, the more people want to be around you. So for example I was playing Mega man battle network. And I actually gained a good amount of followers from a category that typically only has three viewers. But at the same time I also noticed when I'm bored with the game though. How energetic I try to be? People notice it and my chat dies down tremendously. Which does affect your stats and your growth progress

That's why we're saying that dos and don't. It's a very long list because there is a lot of dues and don't especially if you put morality in it. Because if you want this to be a full-time job, you also have to consider.
How society reacts to certain things? So you can use hogwart's legacy as one a lot of streamers. Not only took a loss, but some took extreme backlash. Just for even wanting to play The Game. You could not agree with the author in just for wanting to play a game. There was so much attacking.

I followed several videos on how to configure StreamElements with Social Ninja. Everytthing works except, when I run a LIVE test and type in text into the Youtube popout window nothing appears on my StreamElements stream

Today I set up the M-GAME rgb DUAL. I have a problem with the volume control in obs. I set everything according to the instructions. My problem is that if I play any sound and turn the volume slider to about 3 lines, the sound no longer goes to obs, even though I can hear it in my headphones. It needs to be 4 or more lines, but in obs it seems much louder than I need. it does this for all sounds and samplers.
I have dealt with support and followed all their advice and still the same issue.

I know I have stream a bit less during holidays but I was having sponsors still before and now nothing at all.

I asked stream elements and they told me I was all good with them, no violations, all sponsors were always correctly completed, nothing never had went wrong at all.

It hurt my mental health a lot as I dont understand what’s going on. Streaming is important for me as it’s what I love to do.

I know they say region, audience, other factors, but like I am the only one to have 20 sponsors at the time before and now nothing at all? Thats like..more than a contrast..

Hey folks, when doing an SE sponsorship, we (as the creators) used to be able to adjust the goal threshold on the sponsor counter. Ie, lets say we can get a max of 50 sign ups; we used to be able to edit this down to a more achievable goal. The goal would still be a total of 50, but the counter would show a more achievable target on the browser overlay. I've tried to do this with recent sponsors but the option doesn't seem available. Am I wrong, or will we be able to adjust these again one day?

I've had a look in Streaming tools > Overlays in the SE dashboard. But when I go into the overlay for the Sponsor, I can't seem to edit goal thresholds. Any ideas?

To get the FULL payment, you have to complete all objectives.

There is a minimum requirement in order to qualify for payments (see the above pic)

The second pic with the amounts is when you hit the goals that are listed

as you can see, in this promotion, I had to have at least 25 people play Raid Shadow legends to level 15, and 8 of them to level 25 to get the full payment amount that was offered (655$).

Certain sponsors have their own prerequisites. That could be followers, average viewers, streaming time and the sponsorships will likely be offered according to those. So a streamer with 10 followers and 10 average viewers might be getting offers a streamer with 2k followers and 5 viewers doesn’t.

I wouldn't recommend not worrying about the pay. As you grow as a creator those sponsorships increase. But that's just my experience. Other people have experienced different but from my experience. I've learned that when I grow. The return that they offer is typically bigger than the previous one

Twitch is a lot more lenient on copyright.

If you play 10 seconds of copyrighted audio on a YouTube stream, all ad revenue from that stream goes towards the copyright owner of that 10 second clip.

On Twitch, you just get a little warning. and unless you just played a whole song whilst not talking or doing anything (literally just letting it play with nothing else going on) I doubt an actual company is going to come after your stream, so all you'll get is a "copyrighted audio detected" thing and nothing else really. just depends if the company is scummy or not.

sure go ahead just dont be stupid and play a whole song without any other audio (e.g game audio, or you talking) over it. I wouldn't say to do it excessively, as sometimes twitch resorts to muting copyrighted parts of ur stream for the VODs, if you play copyrighted audio the entire time you might get unlucky and have basically ur entire stream muted

While rare, media owners have filed DMCA claims against live streams and broadcasters have been banned for it. A few years ago Twitch's system was able to detect copyrighted content that was about 2 seconds long, sometimes less, and could do it real time.

Not sure which channel this belongs in, but ive been contacted via email by someone from an 'influencer marketing agency' called curatedgg.com, who is offering sponsorship opportunities like HelloFresh, saying theyre managing it in conjunction with Streamelements.

i found it odd that a 3rd party was offering sponsorships for things like HelloFresh when Streamelements is already offering this to us directly. Curatedgg pay rates are also different. this is what theyre offering:

-$130 is a guaranteed base pay + $50 per code usage, capped at $1,100.

This reeks of a scam, as they have almost zero online presence.

Is Curatedgg a legitimate Streamelements partner? If so, perhaps creators should be made aware.

Normally id trash the email without a second glance, but I wasnt sure if the people running things here were aware of it.

To build off of that for future reference I would also wait about 45 days before withdrawing any payment from PayPal it's not always likely that creators do win that battle. Some creators have even gone to contact the person that tipped but to avoid that what a lot of creators do is they wait 45 days before withdrawing any tips to avoid that problem as much as possible

for example; When the sponsorship period expires, when 50/50 is 5lvl and 10/50 is 11lvl, do we not earn any money or do we get paid for what we do?

Where can I ask about how to connect both my twitch account and youtube account so I can set up different layouts for both?

A few things....

Should you "link/merge" them it cannot be undone without deleting both accounts rather than just 1.

By default they're separate as we do not combine alerts for platforms you have connected. If you stream to both YouTube and twitch at the same time you'll need to have 2 different overlays as they cannot be combined.

I'm confused. I logged in with my Twitch account and set up overlays for that. But now I want to stream to YouTube. So do I log out of stream elements with my twitch account and log in with my google one?

You have 2 options

Do the aforementioned 1 way link/merge and be able to switch easily.

Keep them separate and have to log out and back in to switch.

The only difference is being able to swap easily.

Okay. I think I understand. So now if I want to switch to Youtube. I log in from my twitch account in streamelements site and then click Log in with Youtube. If then i log out and then click again log in with twich would that remember the things I've saved already?

Yes. But if I log out of my twitch account that I used to log in on streamelements and I log in with my google account I won't have anything saved in the overlay tab. I'll find something save it and so on. But if then I log out and log back in with my twitch account would the overlays that I already saved and marked as favrouites still be in the overlay tab?

not that I know, you would need software that can apply it and if i recall correctly xbox still doesn't support that (or will ever for that note)
there are twitch extensions that can "add" a overlay aka literally just overlay over the current video but they're limited to their own presents and quite frankly pretty ugly

unless you have a capture card and a pc then you could just use capture card to capture the output via obs and stream from your pc while gaming on the console but that would imply you have a pc capable of that or even have one in first place (along with a capture card)

the reason they're not free is because I think you just restream to their own rtmp server and from there you do the modifications and live feed is pushed to twitch/youtube/whatever
which would explain why no one really wants to do it for free

There's some people, that comes in public "selling" their service, inside the games that are sponsored or even in the twitch channels. They also gave names of streamers that accepted their services, and for those who don't, they do some of your campaign just to invalidate them

I play call of dragons since July 2023, and in-game chat is fully of ppl just like that, but since the staff seems to not care about that, there's nothing to do.
I also have knowledge that they do in other games such as Raid Shadow Legends and fortnite, etc...

I also do not stream anymore, but these ppl are destroying my game, and putting some streamers at the wall, because if you accept these chineses players terms, you probably will lost your campaign, and if you don't, you certainly will

And the problem is, the majority of these games are chinese, so you can't control it as a regional problem

hope they can find a way to solve this problem, because it's kinda hard to be honest :/

Factor_ is part of HelloFresh (in Europe), and many other OPs of this scale have been cancelled. Personally, I've been receiving +/- 20 payments thanks to OPs for about 1 year, but it's only since last September that there's been this change. I looked at their blog and they're definitely making a lot of changes to the Sponsorships system to improve and keep game publishers on their platform (with statistics including a hundred or so factors). StreamElements is recognized almost worldwide and the amount of sponsorships is just huge I think so they don't try to know and understand when there is a double account for example. When you send an email to understand the reason they tell you they can't because of policies and RGPD (which here has nothing to do, but they point to it). However, I took the opportunity to read their conditions and to tell the truth they are half wrong, they can not pay but in Europe you need a reason (to make a long story short, in Europe when you accept conditions they must be respected 100%, here S.E. respects them at least 95%). I saw a $420 payment canceled in December by possibly 1 viewer who created a double account since he had a problem with the first one (I guess that's where it came from). I think it's disgusting that they don't adjust the payment with the forgeries of the real players, but I think that would take too much time? They have an automated system that checks for fraudulent accounts during the OP, and if so an agent comes to check. They're in the process of killing their Sponsors program, but in the meantime they've made a lot of money.
Eglorian and DeQuat used to stream on the OPs from time to time, but as luck would have it there's been nothing since people's payment problems... When someone takes the head too much they try to start a discussion, which never sees the light of day afterwards.

20% company in June 2022, 40 employees in Jan 2023 and a further 60 employees from 160 remaining in August 2023.

Most people i know that had problems not getting paid for sponsorships started in September last year, and judging from comments in this thread, it is a very common problem.

Mass lay offs and not paying invoices are a giant red flag of a company about to go under. I would expect stream elements to be bankrupt by end of year.
