Hello! Having trouble getting sub-emotes to appear using SE custom commands. Global emotes have no problems, but my own channel's don't appear. I found a post on the SE community board (https://streamelements.helprace.com/kw/i770-why-sub-emotes-doesnt-show-on-custom-commands) saying we need to contact partnership support for the bot to have a free sub, but not sure how to do that. Can someone point me in the right direction, or let me know if there's another way for our own emotes to appear with commands? Thanks!

Glad to hear! In case things don't work again, you can go to Activity Feed > Reset Session, then logout and log back in. This should reset everything and you can change the values under the Session Data.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

You can merge account however the only benefits of merging the accounts is to quickly switch between them and copy overlay designs from one to the other. The two are otherwise still separate and do not share any data whatsoever.

The alerts are coming through on the activity feed. This may be a twitch and lumia connection issue and not StreamElements and lumia issue. I'm not familiar with this or how they connect at all but we just receive the events from twitch.

Hey, I’m a dev from Lumia. We only listen to Streamelements websocket events. The twitch connection isn’t necessary when the users set Streamelements as their preference. The events just arent coming through on his websockets when he switch from his primary facebook Streamelements account to his twitch Streamelements account

Are they authorizing the twitch account? Maybe severing the oauth connection from you side on their account and then re-connecting might help fix the websocket, as it might be trying to only send facebook events initially based on the originally established connection.

Also make sure the Store Redemptions widget is added to your overlay.

Try to recreate the overlay with just the store redemption and check if that works. If so, move your widgets from your old overlay to the new one (and add it to OBS).
One more thing, in the item store, did you add the gif on "alert asset" or "preview asset"? The image that shows in the overlay is the Alert Asset

hello! I have 2 questions

my first question is, is there a way to have a semi-transparent background for when alerts pop up? I wanted to give them a backdrop so that the message/text can be read easily

my second question is, I've seen people use !vanish commands in their streams so that people can time themselves out for 1 second; I have a command like this, but when someone uses the command with an @ to a user, the user that was tagged gets a timeout instead and I was wondering if there was a work around for it/a way to fix it (the parameters we have right now are; /timeout $(user) 1)

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

It doesn’t show your info if someone donates via SE.PAY, just your stream channel name. The donation will say “pending” for a couple days until it clears before being able to transfer it your acct. You have to go to the SE.PAY tab on the home dashboard and press the “withdrawal” button to transfer, otherwise $ will just sit there until you do so. Hope that helps

I just wonder if I first have to delete the account from the service "Tipeestream" because I've heard in a tutorial supposedly that this service is integrated into Streamelements with. Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.

I already have my SE.Pay account created, and Global Chargeback Protection enabled.

I just want to be absolutely sure about one thing: If I also have my PayPal account connected to my StreamElements tipping page, am I protected from PayPal chargebacks as well? Or does that protection only apply to any chargebacks coming from credit cards? I'm leaving my PayPal disconnected until I hear it's protected.

1. You are correct, we don't protect against PayPal charge backs as we don't actually touch any of the money through PayPal.
2. if you have SE.pay set up, you can actually disconnect your PayPal and only have the option for Se.Pay so that you can receive the tips

You can access this by going Revenue > Tipping Settings > Tipping Settings (top right)

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)

4. Start SE.Live
5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

Okay i think i found the reason staring me in the face. The build of OBS is made for Windows 10, but you're on 11. I know Microsoft is very difficult with reverting OS versions, but i'm seeing a lot of reports with OBS not playing nice with Windows 11. Same is going for SE.Live.

The font can only be changed in overlays, not in the chat messages. Unless you mean using /me before the text so it's italic.

@frank jay because of how the system is designed any links tied to an account (like merch in this case) are unique. Once someone links "Platform X" to streamelements then they get that particular link. Anyone else afterwards regardless of who gets stuck with numbers.

Now if both of the accounts are yours you can contact support about having the 2nd one modified to a different one pending availability of that name.

Hello, I am having some issues with my activity feed & alerts. My activity feed has not shown any subscribers, raids, bits, donations, etc. since February. The Twitch activity feed shows all of these, but the streamelements activity feed does not. I also do not get alerts for subscribers, raids, donations, or bits. I only get alerts for followers now. This issue only started after I changed my Twitch username. I have emailed streamelements support and has this issue resolved before, but about a week later, the same issue started happening again. Does anyone have a fix? I have contacted support again to see if I can resolve this issue, but a quicker response via someone with experience with this issue / advice would be very much appreciated. There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

When you emulate, do you have "preview live on stream" selected? if not it won't send. Also make sure that your browser source for the overlay is on top. If any other source is on top it will block it and it won't show up

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts

Question about variations, there's an option to tick that say "Pick an alert randomly when more than one matches" , I don't want this one.
Let's say I have a sub alert, and two variations , 1 for resub,(at least 2 months) and one for 1 year sub(exacts 12 months), with different sound.

If someone subs for 1 year, since two would technically apply (resub and 1 year) how does it decide which one to pick?

I have the same image file, and audio file for all of my alert events.
Follower, Host, and Raid all works as intended, but for whatever reason Subscriber and Bits are still using default stuff?
In the settings for those, it's showing the custom image and audio file, but it doesn't use it when I emulate it in the overlay editor.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).
