Hey I just started using StremElements a couple weeks ago. I am having the same issue as I did in streamlabs. Any alert that comes in is extremely loud. No matter where i lower it weather that be in obs studio or in streamelements itself it is always extremely loud. Any ideas on where the problem may lie?

You need to convert it. If it is a video file - Handbrake or other tools (depends on the transparency and format). For photos - i can recommend GIMP for lighter editing and conversion, good free software.

Yeah, it's a video file. I have a few different copies of it because it was reworked a couple times, but all of them are still the same size.

HI! I'm the moderator for DJGoldS and have Editor privilege on his account we can't ger KappaGen to work on twitch. we turned the command on and off and let it save. Also created a new KappaGen overlay and DJGoldS added it to OBS and it works in the S.E. preview but not on Twitch when he is live or offline. We see it working on other streams. • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Is there something I can do to help the alerts/SE from being so delayed when things like bits/subs happen. Doesnt happen always but today Id see the sub announced by twitch and at times it would be 30-60 seconds before the alert would appear or the action posted in the activity feed.

No, my desktop audio is set to my Astro Game line which does happen to be my computer's default audio. I just set it to that so that when its not connected it doesnt sit at a different source.

It says that my GPU is maxed out, and there is a GPU encoder overload. I do not have a game open, however, and the lagging only seems to occur when I switch from another scene to the scene with the chat. If I switch it to any other scene, there is no lag.

I've tried emulating subsciptions, and the sub goal doesn't change. I'm trying to add a new Overlay from StreamElements, something i picked out from widget-share however i've noticed that the widgets for the sub goals aren't working. I've tried emulating subsciptions, and the sub goal doesn't change. The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name

You couldn't obviously make a command like:
${count ${1} '+${2}' } for the mods and yourself to manually add and then ${getcount ${1} } for the viewers!

And the ${1} is either "bits" or "daily subs" argument!

Hiya, quick question for clarification, is followage measured by when a channel is first followed by a user (i.e. first time following even if they unfollowed and refollowed later) or when the user last followed (i.e. time since they unfollowed and refollowed)? If it's the latter, is there any way to adjust it?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel chat if you have not already.
3. Reply to this with your old and your new usernames, just in case the automated system struggles to update your channel's chatstats tracking.

If you have already completed this, and are having issues with the progress bar, you can select the "Session Data" icon in the top right (middle icon of the 3 next to "Preview", see image). From there you can customize, and edit your goals/progress, totals etc. Hope this helps if you haven't already figured it out!

On the Alertbox section, for example "Follow Alert" do you not have the "Clear Sound" option? Follower Alert > Cog/Settings Wheel > Clear Sound. If the sound is stuck in the overlay/file I'm not entirely sure how to remove it from there. Sorry, hope this helped in some way!

Bitrate is the amount encoded for a unit of time. From a streaming perspective, a higher video bitrate means a higher quality video but requires more bandwidth. Not sure what the Keyframe interval does, so I left is blank lol

Based off of your upload speed. Run a speed test at speedtest.net , and remember every 1,000kbps is 1Mbps. If you're streaming with 60fps, you can try between 3,500kbps - 5,000kbps for 1280 x 720 res. If that makes sense lol.

Usually you can take the bitrate you want, multiply by 1.25 and divide by 1000. If your upload speed is at least that many Mbps, you should be able to stream at that bitrate, assuming nobody else is using your internet. Otherwise add in allowances for them.

Rendering lag is caused by GPU overload, which can also cause encoding lag. The OBS discord is probably better, but do you have a clean log you can provide?

1) Restart OBS
2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.

4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Ok, apparently it was that I hadn't installed the SE.live plugin. I built a new gaming rig (i7-12700, RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR4 PC3200, B660 mobo) and i've been migrating things over... and this was one thing that just kinda wasn't working right when I know i had it working right on the other.

But ya, it was just that plug in I hadn't installed. working now.

Yes. The code you want is: $(count death) under a custom command called !death so everytime someone uses that command, it will count up. Of course, you can change 'death' to whatever command you want. For example, I have it as:

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

hello, I am having an issue with my custom bot name defaulting back to StreamElements, when I prefer to have it show up as my handle in chat. I have noticed that the correct custom bot name shows up when I have a the yoink(dot)streamelements(dot)com/activity-feed bot page open in a background tab. this tab did not used to need to be open as the bot was working fine just through OBS and OBSlive. is there something I can change to make this work on it's own? thank you!

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

OK so you activate the "raffle" commands! like: !raffle,!join and so on! and rename them if you want in default commands! then you go to Modules and raffles where you can costumize the outcome messages! to for example: Hy {winner} you won! and so on

also make sure it is set to single raffle so only 1 person wins!
