Seems there might have been a recent update of Stream Element that might have changed a few things on how alerts are handled and I'm not sure how to fix it

Before, swear were censored in alert when they were found. Removed this protection so swear words would go through in the stream

But now alerts just don't go through at all when they encounter a bad word despite the fact that no settings have changed and nothing is voluntarily censored in any settings

Not what I was asking about. Most alerts are fine, until there's a bad word. Then that specific alert is never shown even when forced

You mentioned that you hadn't changed any settings, have you looked them over/turned them off if they were on since the alerts stopped playing?

No I didn't. Had a streamer with "Fuk" in their name, raid alert didn't work. Had another use "Fucking" in a bit redeem, no alerts. Repeating it from the dashboard didn't work, but any other bit redeem worked without issues

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I recently switched to OBS Studio/StreamElements from SLOBS and I haven't been able to get my raid alerts to happen when I get a raid. They only play a host alert regardless what order the raid or host occur in the activity feed. Any thoughts on a must-use setting I may be missing? I have 4 raids built for the number of people raiding... 1+, 10+, 25+ and 50+ and they're all built in the variations section. All the raids appear in the activity feed and the alerts can be triggered from StreamElements by clicking the replay button in the activity feed listing. They just don't happen when the actual raid does.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

The best option is disable the extensions and enabling one by one and test each one of them. It is hard to know which extension is compatible or not.
When you find the extension which is not compatible, add the tipping page as the exception for that extension (if it has that option)

There is a snapping option on the overlay editor (next to the mute button). Try to disable it and enable it again. If it still not working, try to open the editor on a Private tab to test

So when you are satisfied you can remove the one you already have (or hide it, preferably)

Let's try one more thing... Can you create a new overlay and check if the snap option works on the new one? If it works, then maybe you can duplicate your current overlay and confirm.

Following up from an issue before (please check the reply to see full conversation). I reinstalled OBS.Live, chose the only other option for a bot name, made sure the bot worked, closed and reopened. Then I uninstalled OBS.Live as well as OBS. Restarted computer. Reinstalled OBS and the bot still worked. End of day one. Shut computer down. Start computer the next day and everything with the bot worked. End of day two. Shut computer down. Start computer on day three and the bot is broken again. I need the StreamElements bot without OBS.Live. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi. I have had a lot of issues with streamelements lately and I'm not sure what to do. I've parted the bot from my channel a few times. Doing that fixed my timers, but I'm still having issues with my sounds alerts and my tip page. I did recently change my Twitch username and I read that may have caused an issue with my tip page, but I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem. My sound alerts haven't worked for about 2 months, even before I changed my username. I'm not sure what that is about. The actual sound alerts extension, I can hear the sound alerts used, but it doesn't show who used it. My alerts like my follow, sub, raid, etc, those don't work at all. I'm very frustrated and I need to get these issues fixed before the first of the year. Please help.

Hey all. I added an event list from visuals by impulse into Streamelements that integrates events and chat. Its acting weird though. If im on a scene where i've added it, i can see all events (no chat) up until the moment I added it into streamelements as an overlay. If new events happen while I'm on that scene, it updates and works fine. If i move away from that scene to a scene where this isn't active, then switch back to a scene where it is active, all the events that are showing are the exact same as when i originally added it. So it kinda acting like it resets every time the source refreshes. When i look at it in streamelements, its a bunch of HTML code but its not much code. Just not sure what to do or what to change for this to keep the events it reads up to date

this resulted in 2 separate accounts and because the underlying streaming services are "already claimed" i cant migrate them both to one account

What i mean by unclaim is that there should be a way for the owner of a streamelements account to unlink (And thus unclaim) a streaming service from their streamelements account, rather that having to go through support for this

Just incase anyone was having the same issue, there IS a way to unlink an account and its to close the streamelements account

on dashboard click show secrets copy the jwt token and then go to security close account, paste the jwt token into jwt and fill out the rest of the form, can link the account to a new (or existing) streamelements account afterwards

Doesnt help if you want to unlink say one account from an SE account with multiple accounts (for e.g if you linked the wrong youtube or something) but its better than nothing

It appears as though certain songs can't be played by the Media Request system as well. I've had people try to play certain songs and it just 100% doesn't play.

I tested it out on my own personal Media Request system for my personal OBS, and got the error "An internal server error occurred"

I have had a lot of issues with streamelements lately and I'm not sure what to do. I've parted the bot from my channel a few times. Doing that fixed my timers, but I'm still having issues with my sounds alerts and my tip page. I did recently change my Twitch username and I read that may have caused an issue with my tip page, but I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem. My sound alerts haven't worked for about 2 months, even before I changed my username. I'm not sure what that is about. The actual sound alerts extension, I can hear the sound alerts used, but it doesn't show who used it. My alerts like my follow, sub, raid, etc, those don't work at all. I'm very frustrated and I need to get these issues fixed before the first of the year. Please help.

the solution you need after renaming your channel would be to logout and log back into the dashboard, that's the easiest one

a new tipping link will be produced and you'll be able to add it to your panel

as for sound alerts, do you mean notifications, or do you mean point based sound bits?

I mean as is in both. Not to mention, none of the overlays that I try to put in a browser source for my stream will work. It doesn't show up at all. The notifications for when I get a new follow, sub, raid won't show up. I see it on my activity feed, but thats it. The cp and bit based sound alerts, I can hear, but it doesn't show up on my stream who played them anymore.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So I set some Bot Timers in StreamElements yesterday for today's Twitch stream.
The StreamElements bot IS in my chat and DOES have moderator permissions, it recognizes when I go live and puts out a live announcement.
It responds to my shoutout commands. It's online and working.
However, the WHOLE stream, and it was a busy one, it didn't do ANY of these timers. Did I mess up?

Hey - no matter what i do , my chatbot continues to TTS the action (ie. username has gifted x subs to viewers, they have gifted x subs in the channel). I have ticked off all the options to TTS the action, including in the variations..I even ticked it back on, saved, exited it, then unticked it again, saved and exited out...

2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

The primary text (the name) I can move to the right but the secondary text (the event) gives no option to move, just text type and size.

My twitch chat really likes the dueling feature of the bot and use it all the time. Is there a way that I can set something up for a command that duels a random person instead of me having to type someones name in?
Like !duelrandom and it will then randomly choose someone in the twitch chat to duel?
