Twitch reset everybody's stream key so you need to get your new one from your creator dashboard and put it in the OBS settings @manic zephyr

You put it in Settings > Stream, paste your stream key from Twitch there or just use account login.

possibly unrelated, but since the hack/wipe i've been getting this message when attempting to export a video from twitch to youtube " This channel has not connected their youtube account " it is/was connected fine as of the 30th sept,
i've unlinked and following the export button attempt to reassign and that message appears,

Logging out with the URL posted, and back in again hasn't changed my sub count goal widget. Still shows 0, and that part of session data doesn't have any info. The rest works fine.

I can stream, and other widgets can show data. Just not the sub count one, currently.

You could try resetting the session data as well

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

I have, and also logged out using OBS, then the URL. After logging, I reset session data. Under 'totals', the sub area shows 0, though I have 11.

I've had "log out" issues before regarding my bot. Was unable to reset without using a parameter in the OBS shortcut, then accessing via loopback:port to reconfig XD

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So after the Twitch Breach a few days ago i changed my password and such and got everything switched with SE and OBS and when i went live tonight none of my bot commands are working in chat. I have tried removing bot from chat and having it rejoin and have had no success....Any ideas

2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Subscribers need to share their sub in chat in order to be counted in the extension
For cheers, you may need to change the chat leaderboard to all-time and give it a few minutes for the extension to grab the full data and update everyone's cheers.

Finally got it to work but had to go into my Twitch Settings > Connections > Other Connections and disconnect StreamElements. This way when logging in to StreamElements it will bring up the page asking if its okay to connect my Twitch account. Then reset the totals via Activity Feed > Widget Data > Totals > Reset Session. If anyone else is having the 0 sub issue, could try that (cc: @sudden sinew)

Hey folks! My custom bot account dropped off from its connection to the StreamElements bot (I suppose somewhere in the middle of the recent resetting of everything) and I cannot for the life of me get it set back up.

I've been trying through OBS.Live and without it, reinstalling, resetting and just about everything I could think of. The bot account shows the Custom Bot connection as established, but I keep getting cycled back into the authorization when trying to set it up, and it just never... follows through.

I wonder if I'm just missing something obvious here.

for some reason i can no longer use my own acc as a bot name. is that because I changed my name? At streamelements it is still the old one

Figured this out:

• The bot was set back thanks to the guide outlined here: #helpdesk-twitch message (already did before request)
• The bot was receiving messages for the stream but not posting
• Logged into the bot and went to my stream and noticed it was complaining about some permission restrictions (new phone verification)

So if you find your bot should be set up correctly after following the linked steps but messages aren't posting, log in on the bot and go to your own stream, it might be due to verification with the twitch lock down

hello, I am having an issue in which my streamelements bot under my username has suddenly stopped working, I can still get the streamelements bot to work as expected under the name StreamElements, but not under my user name. I have recently changed my password on twitch and had my stream key updated by twitch as well, but there were no other changes to my accounts; any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

6. Navigate to the Console tab

9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Quick question: Will resetting the session data for 1 widget reset other widgets data as well? I have 2 widgets one for an overall goal and one for a short time frame that track the same info (subs, bits, etc). I want to be able to reset the shorter goal to track from 0 while still keeping progress on the longer goal.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello, prior to the twitch source code leak, I had a custom bot name configured. Afterwards when we all refreshed the security tokens and bot connections, streamelements OBS is no longer using the custom name. I've tried:
disconnecting/reconnecting the bot
disconnecting/reconnecting all accounts in OBS
updating settings in the bot account's twitch account

The custom bot will take my own username and send messages. I try selecting the "Custom Bot Name" option, log in successfully, seemingly, but the custom bot name never appears.

Is there an authentication problem happening? Did I not disconnect something needed?

Advanced Goal Widget is displaying sub count as 0. It is displaying follower count correctly, but even after deleting and making a new widget, it still displays sub count as 0. Sub count command works so I know my streamelements connection is at least mostly working. Any suggestions?

It also was working correctly before until we hit the sub goal, then it went to zero and wouldn't work. However this is now an entirely new widget as I deleted and reset it, so it's strange.

it's the chat that displays that like that, could also be related to your extensions etc

don't know tbh, maybe bttv or ffz allows showing that differently, or using something like chatterino

in terms of bot settings I don't know of a way to control how the tag looks in chat

there's no way to make the bot highlight a user a specific way

that's basically the bottom line. you can use different variables to see if they give you different tags

other than that, it's not an option on our bot, regardless of what you may have seen in other channels

there's no variable for !love obviously, you'll need to build the custom command based on the variables

Up until the Twitch hack I was able to go to https://yoink.streamelements.com/activity-feed/stream-settings and use a custom bot name to add my emotes to my chat commands without having to buy a sub for my bot. I can not get this to work now that the stream keys were updated. I am pulling my hair out trying to make it work. It will work with the stream elements bot name but not with mine even though everything was the same and I have re-connected the custom bot. Anyone else having this issue and knows how to get around it?

SL have a different native resolution for their overlays
after the import just make sure to change the overlay dimensions, and make sure the browser source is set according to these dimensions
to clarify SL uses 800x600 or something, while our native resolution is 1920x1080
