I'm asking them if they remember what their original Twitch name was. However, can you also reset my own channel davidslade007, please! Typical, a person logs on first under their own name, has a look around and then makes a decision that they would like to stream on Twitch and changes their Twitch name over to their professional Music identity... i.e Barryxxx to BarryMusic. Looking at all the other music channels that I mod for, most of them need this done as well! Is it best to do this as a separate request for each Twitch music channels?

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

1- i'm trying to get amazon music to play on my channel WITHOUT playing over my stream. I have no additional plug ins but and the music is still showing up on stream.

When creating more than one alert, how do i make them trigger in a single box? For example, in box A I have an alert that will trigger with any cheer of 1 bit or higher, and in box B I have an alert that will trigger when someone cheers exactly 500 bits. How do I make a 500 bits cheer trigger only box B and not box A?

it's a tricky thing to do, you have to add the same variation to the other alerbox and leave everything blank

I had it logged in to twitch. changed it to use the stream key instead. that worked, but then while streaming, it would not change scenes.

tbh it might just be my PC. using a laptop and it might not be able to handle it.

that could be true, try lowering your stream settings, res/fps, that might help reduce the load on your laptop

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hey team, I changed the display name of the twitch account that uses my custom bot account. I noticed the bot was posting in my main account so I reconnected the custom bot account and now any command is double posting. Once as the custom bot name, and once from my main account. I've reset session data, tried removing custom bot account and reconnect and that hasn't worked.

2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

yeah kappagen shows emotes but !kappagen doesnt trigger the emotesplosion

Sorry but that doesn't work it seems. I am using an Overlay that has {streamer} as variable for example. Using {title} or {status} does not reveal anything. Also all other listed variables do not work. Might it be that bot commands are not the same like overlay variables?

Hi. The last 2 days, my ! volume commands on chat only get "an error occurred, please try again later" message, no matter what I try (+5, -5, exact value, whatever), everything else works. (pause, play, skip). I have tried disconnecting then reconnecting the bot to chat but no change. If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello people. Some Audio+Elgato+Voicemetter Potato+StreamElements: I'm using a 2nd pc for live streaming on Twitch, using a Elgato HD60 capture card, and a Logitech C920 Pro cam. The webcam is connected to the PC streaming and of course I've a bit of Desync between webcam and mic sound (the mic is on the gaming PC) which is easy to solve, by add delay on the webcam about of 720 ms.... However, StreamElements don't "remember" that setting of 720 ms ... If I close it and start it again the desync may not be the same and I have to set it again to other value, as 750, 800 or even 910 ms. Also, sometimes it happens will streaming. I've webcam buffering disconnected as also "deactivate device capture when note visible", on StreamElements... Any ideas that might help me? Thanks a lot.

@scenic swan the companion app is mainly to show your activity feed/chat, you can control media request with commands, !sr to add new songs and !skip to skip the current song for example but you wont be able to hear this as the music will only be sent to your stream

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So far I have made 10 custom variations and put the chance at 10%.

What do I do with the standard sub alert? It's ok if I have to have 11 but just don't know what to do to ensure they all have an equal chance of playing.

Sorry...thanks a lot for the reply. I do the sync using the Async Filter on Streamelements to delay the webcam image .... for exemple 750ms. But when I idisconnet turn off the PC and turn it on again the value of 750 ms doesn't apply anymore... I have to find the right time to apply in the filter, which can be 650 or 800, 950, 700 ms but is not 750 ms anymore.... (the values are an exemple for the situation).... Thanks in advance

since the webcam itself + audio device\s you might be using could have their own settings - it could affect the actual change made to the device
in my OBS the filters I set on sources are properly saved and don't reset, but I've had issues with the webcam's setting. when it comes to audio, my delay settings were properly saved and the issue was with my voicemeeter

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I'm still confised as how the original/default sub will work with the variations % wise. You can't set the default to anything so how often will thst one come up if i have 9 variations at 10%? will they be equal?

I believe you can just keep the main alert empty and create a variation for it. that way you have 10 variations with 10% each

do note that it's random, so the same variation can be triggered twice in a row

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

if your advanced audio properties were set to 'monitor off' it means you're not meant to hear yourself and stream should

but this is all in relation to your audio setup

so you have to make sure your mic is properly set up and configured on the PC, defined to be used by OBS in OBS settings, etc etc

live sub count is just the total subscribers? it's available as a default widget. isn't that what you wanted?

no the extension gets events from chat. so now that you have it set up, it should properly list events from chat

like subs or resubs or cheers etc

I've added that custom goal widget to your overlays

you should see it all the way to the top in the 'my overlays' page

you can duplicate it to other overlays too, so get it customized as you wish and then duplicate

hey absolutely my pleasure. you can edit your goal progression via your activity feed > widget data > goals. save settings and reload overlays after that

did you change your name on twitch recently?
i can help out with the chatstats issue, which will show 'top chatters' in the extension after it's fixed

but for subs and cheers it will need to get these events from chat **only after **extension was set up

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.
