If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

That is a public listing for commands, which can't be edited. The streamer will have to invite you to their channel for you to make those edits

Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

  2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)

Hey team, quick question.
With variation alerts in the overlays settings, will the order in which the variations stand effect their trigger?

For example, I had "top d of the day" below amount variants yesterday, and although there were 5-6 different amounts throughout the stream, it never played the highest donator of the session sound, i assume because it was below the other variants which also trigger for that certain amount?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi all. I've had an issue for the last few weeks for scrolling text. My stream is in very healthy condition and there are no frame drops gathered from the report from OBS.Live, and when I've received any alert notification from StreamElements overlay it has gone through seamlessly, so I think it is only the text scrolling that is an issue.

Here is a clip to see what I'm talking about (hopefully this is allowed to show the case for troubleshooting):

The kappagen emotesplosion is only working sometimes for us, it's definitely not a cooldown issue and we don't use it that often either way, sometimes it just doesn't work quite a few times in a row then it'll be ok for a few uses of the cmd. I've tried reverting to default settings, adding the widget fresh, etc. Not sure where to go from here with it, any help would be very much appreciated

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hey, sorry to be a bother... I enabled the 2 factor authentification yesterday. Now the section where I can change stream title, notification etc. is gone. When I enter the settings, choose twitch it doesn't give me the option to connect my account to OBS again. To write in the OBS chat window I had to put the password in etc. so it is connected. But that tool is gone.

This seems like an OBS issue. From some googling I just did, it seems like you need to reconnect OBS to your Twitch account in OBS settings.

Until now I tryed to delete the old one and relog. Than I deleted the old one added the new one and relogged. After that I tryed to delete it in twitch and reconnect it. Nothing works

  • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
  • Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

if you're not able to fix it via the stream settings in the custom dock you created (based on the instructions above #helpdesk-twitch message)
try this -
Please part the bot from your dashboard > logout of StreamElements at https://streamelements.com/logout > log in again > re-invite the bot > mod it (make sure it's not muted) again just to be sure
and if that doesn't work as well we'll need to understand how you enabled the custom bot name without OBS.Live LULW

Hey there, I've been having issues with my Media Request with my stream for about the last year now. Every time someone requests a new song instead of being added to the queue it will instantly get played and skip whatever was playing despite the queue being enabled with a max limit of 300, this includes when regular viewers, VIP's and MOD's request media. I haven't been able to find a solution for this anywhere online so id greatly appreciate the help
