Hi Folks, I submitted a ticket along time ago about this issue with Streamelements and they told me it was being worked on, its been now over 6 months and still nothing. I am using the overlay floating emotes and I use to be able to select my own emotes to be apart of it now all there is BTTV and FFZ emotes only, can someone let me know if this is evber going to be fixed again?

Yes! This makes the bar infinite and always changing the sub goal, its more attractive for the live and help the streamer.

the kappagen issue is being looked at by devs, but no ETA can be given as to when its going to be fixed

When a viewer see a 30/30 sub goal he things that the streamer already achieved his daily goal, but when is infinite you always help the streamer.

ANother idea which not sure if this is what you guys have been discussing, but I have sent requests in to multiple platforms for someone to design, but a sub goal calculator that just increase on screen everytime a sub comes in - so people can see how many subs over all the streamer has recieved in the past i also use this as a guide for giveaways - every 10 subs I giveaway a random game key and every 50 subs is a game of their choice (and no its not a sub only giveaway) i just use the 10 as a guide.
It woulod be handy to have this up on the screen as subs come in, saves me having to edit the one i use at the moment

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I seem to be having an issue with either Twitch, OBS or SE and idk which one it is.

I set up my alerts and stream overlay, and when doing the test alerts in SE everythign seems to be working just fine, but once i start streaming it seems the overlay no longer updates, nor does my stream activity.

I had someone sub to me but OBS keps saing that my stream had no activity, and the overlay didnt update to show the new sub, and no alert played

I’m not seeing an automated way to do it, but you could set it up in it’s own browser source and then set a hotkey to make it visible/ invisible? It would take some brain power to remember to toggle it every time it hits zero or you get a sub, but it would definitely work 🤷🏻‍♂️

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

!command remove (commandname) - allows you to delete a custom command
!command edit (commandname) (commandresponse) - allows you to edit an existing custom command
!command show (commandname) - allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used
!command options (commandname) -(flag) - allows you to change settings for an existing custom command

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

Hey All! i have the Credit Roll - by Grot widget set up and it was working great until today when i got to my final ending screen and found that the data has reset itself and is only showing the most recent follower rather than a list of all the followers. Ive checked the data in the back end of SE and all the followers are showing under the relevant section for the widget to pull them through - anyone got any idea why its decided to give up on me? If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name

I got it fixed, I refreshed the dock and it said session expired once I reauthenticated it fixed

so the dock doesn't know when the session expires until I refresh it. That seems like a bug to me

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

One source needs to be a “browser” source where you’ll paste your overlay url and change the dimensions to 1920x1080. The words won't automatically appear over the video, you may have to move the text around to get it to look the way you want. For example, you can change the layout so the text appears in different spots (one being over the video)

Seems like a connection issue between OBS and Twitch. You can try checking the server settings, but you may want to check out the OBS discord for a deeper look

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Valve has implemented a trusted mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS:GO using Game Capture. Read more in their announcement post here https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/07/30736/.

Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in trusted mode. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8835-KLXV-0292#whitelist You will need to run the game in either windowed or borderless fullscreen and use Window Capture instead.
Alternately, you can launch the game with -allow_third_party_software.

And anyone who tipped you in the past saw your PayPal email, which means that they can just send you money again without going through our tipping page if they want to.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Your bot is not in the channel. Go to the dashboard and click on "join channel" on the right side. 🙂

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hey, sorry I have quite a basic question but I am really struggling to search google for answer. I am wondering what is the best way to play a song that I own on my pc (.wav or .mp3) and play it during a BRB screen or a starting screen or whatever it may be? I am currently playing it directly in OBS but I don't think this is ideal as there isn't really an easy way to switch them out. Whenever I search for this online I keep bumping into how to play other music from youtube etc but I want to play my own music which I either play directly from my pc or upload it to streamelements. Does anyone have advice?

assuming your audio device is your desktop audio, anything you play on your PC should be heard on stream

also assuming it's set to 'monitor and output' as well

you can also of course add audio as a media source in your OBS, and OBS has its own native hotkeys. not to mention if you have a streamdeck you can use that to turn specific sources on and off in your OBS

the third step has the information you need for that:

To get started capturing, you need to add a Source. At the bottom of the window is a box called 'Sources'. Click on the + (or right click inside the box) and pick the source you want.
