can you set the browser source resolution to 1920 x 1080? essentially you could even do that for the overlay, but it seems like there's no need to since it shows up in the desired position and not cut off @potent mica

our native overlays resolution is 1920 x 1080 so I suggest in general having both set to that
but as you can see from my screenshot, the overlay can be a different size, and the browser source should remain 1920 x 1080

and if you see such weird behavior again you can test by using the native resolution

we can't really help with anything about SLOBS, they have their own rebrand of OBS that we can't troubleshoot, if you're having any issues we'll need to troubleshoot either on OBS Studio or with OBS.Live installed
and as of now the difference between our setups is just the version, and since it's working well for me that'd be the first thing I'd advise to check
and as for reverting to OBS 26.1.1 - a. you can do manual and cloud backups for your profiles \ scene collections \ settings \ OBS.Live just to be safe
but b. this instructs pretty well on how to do so - #helpdesk-selive message

before you go to OBS I suggest uninstalling OBS.Live to see if this misalignment thing persists. I believe they'll instruct you to do it if you confirm to them that the plugin is installed

(naturally if it stops happening when OBS.Live is un-installed you can update us about it, but we'd also want to test if it happens on 26.1.1 since the plugin is still not compatible with v27 and since it's not supported we still can't assist on that)

yea i dont have time right now if something goes wrong before i stream, but ill mess with it more tonight. i just tried "deleting" my obs folder in appdata and i still have the problem with "fresh" 1.7. just wante dto rule that out. ill reinstall tonight

@keen wigeon I was just duping an overlay and it asks where do I want to put it but there are no options so I was just curious. Made me think I could organize my overlays but doesn't appear you can. Like the ones I actually use I would put them in a section the ones I don't would be in another section. But I guess that stuff is NOT organizeable

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  1. Right-click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
  2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
  3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)

  5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
  6. Navigate to the Console tab
  7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
  8. Try setting the custom bot name
  9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

What you mainly want depends on what the link requires to retrieve the information. If it's a link that simply requires specific input (Like the steamID from the link above) you'd have the respective variable here to retrieve the desired info for the user. ${customapi.https://dbd.onteh.net.au/api/playerstats?steamid=${1:}&stat=escaped}

Hi, the past few weeks most likely a month whenever I've tried to stream there has been a notification in the bottom corner of my pc where it says OBS disconnected then it will do another one that days OBS reconnected. This stops and restarts my stream every time it happens but my wifi is not going out at that time as I stream online multiplayer games and the game I'm playing at the time never has an issue where I dc or anything. is anyone else having this issue and does anyone have a proposed fix?

Hello!

We're having another issue with the store, this time with a different channel, JuMayumin. We're making her store and from yesterday to now, all the items disappeared from the store, leaving us with only the blank screen with no items, not even the "no items" screen, with the video that tell us to create an item.
Just some useful info on the issue:

  • The was items on the store for 1 week-ish, with which we were testing some stuff.

The issue is displayed on the first screenshot, the second one shows another issue that happened when i created/deleted an item to test if it was really bugged.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

  1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
  2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
  3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

the black border is just an insane amount of text-shadow and it shouldn't affect it. do you have links to an older version of obs i can try?

Hmm i did some tests just now and maybe it is the font... Maybe a windows update is what broke it for me.... i will look for another pixel font and report back.

i found one and yea wtf. it was the font... that i used for over 2 years in various ways.....wtf. now that i think about it there was a major windows update at the same time obs updated to obs 27......... i think this was windows fault somehow? idk. i found another font that pretty similar though and it working so i am just going to switch to that. thank you for giving me ideas to try @foggy heart because i wouldnt have even considered that, and thank you for the help earlier @placid raptor (just tagging you again so you can know you don't have to reply to my other messages that were updating you!)

Hey guys, i've been having some problems with my activity feed at twitch and streamelements, where two of my suscribers haver always resubscribe but the notification doesnt show up at any place not even on my obs, they're suscribed with prime but also i haver anothers suscribers from prime and their notifications do show up in every single place like twitch, streamelements and obs. So is it a problem from the other two or the platforms, can anybody help me, please?

What exactly doesn't work?

  • On your alert overlay, click on the three dots and "Copy URL"

  • Go to OBS and on your sources, click on + button > Browser

  • In URL, paste the URL copied before

  • In Width and Height, put 1920 and 1080, respectively

  • Check the option "Shutdown source when not visible"

  • On Streamelements website, click on Edit on your overlay and then on "Simulate (bell icon) > Follower (or sub, bits, what you have configured). Check if the alert shows up on your OBS

  • Make sure the option "Preview LIVE on Stream" is checked on your Overlay Editor page (sending an screenshot for that)
  • Do you have your alert appearing on the Overlay Editor page when you do a simulation? If it is appearing on the Overlay editor, we can narrow down the issue to OBS.
  • Can you hear the notification sound on OBS when you simulate the event?

  2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
  3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
  4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
  5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
  6. Navigate to the Console tab
  7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
  8. Try setting the custom bot name
  9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.

So, we found out what the problem is, the store is fine on both ends, BUT, there's an issue with the it, which is the issue we had, if the store has no "enabled" items, only "disabled" ones, you can't access the disabled tab, when we created an item just to test, we regained access to the disabled page, after refreshing the page, which is where all the items we created are. Also, deleting the only enabled item caused the bug from the second screenshots and it's really easy to reproduce if needed.
So maybe you guys want to change that to avoid having other people with the same issue, having all three tabs visible all the time should be the easy fix for this issue.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello! I have been having a problem logging into the StreamElements website (specifically to manage giveaways for a channel I have moderator permissions). Every time I log in, it loops back to the Site front page. If I log out and then use the login option in the top right menu (as apposed to the one in the middle of the page) then it will allow me to get to MY dashboard but trying to switch to the channel I manage loops me back to the front page again. This has only been happening for the last few days. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

hi! i'm having trouble with my overlays on stream. i test them out when offline and they work, but when i'm streaming the issue i run into is always either that the alert shows up, but there's no sound, or the alert flashes very quickly with no sound and i end up missing follows and subs. any guidance?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  1. Right-click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
  2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
  3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
  4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
  5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
  6. Navigate to the Console tab
  7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
  8. Try setting the custom bot name
  9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

So, i'm having another issue related to the store, since the streamer don't use SE for donations, we took off the donation bonus on the loyalty settings, but with only 2 bonuses active, the whole block of information vanishes from the store page, as we can see on these screenshots:

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.
