@midnight folio If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

i tested there on OBS. Streaming with OBS makes things slow, using AMD software runs nice. Thats why i use it

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

When you stream, you are actually putting a load on the encoder. If you test without the stream, you have no real load. Try to lower your settings and check what the OBS log says.

@quick swan 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Not sure, i have not tested Lightstream myself. If it can support browser source, then you will get the overlays running.

We recommend OBS - and this is not because we have a plugin for it, it is the most used streaming application out there.

Hello, I'm trying to make custom alerts for my stream and I have the PNG file I want to use and it worked for every alert type except the Cheer and the Sub Gift/Community Gift... the PNG file appears to be the image of choice for all 3 of those alert categories but for the cheer it is using the default alert in the emulator and for the sub/community alerts the image appears to be a missing file despite the attached png file

Hi there, I'm having some trouble with streamelements and my follower count. On the streamelements website dashboard my follower count is at 0 when that is not the right number. No follows show on the activity feed and my follow alerts do not play when I get a follow on stream. • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

on your twitch go to your pic top right. click on channel. under channel go to your about me area. you will notice on top left of the new area with about me theres a part the says edit pannels. click on it. it will give you access to add new pannels. click the add text or image pannel. top of it is what its name is going to be. under that add the picture you want for it, for instance something that says tip. under that it says image links to, enter the stream elements linky to your paypal or whatever you are linking to. you can add description if you want or submit. then switch the edit pannels over. you can click it then to make sure its done right

I have a question regarding alerts for raids. I recently noticed during a stream that a raid would sometimes result in a raid alert or a host alert. Which one plays seems inconsistent. My understanding is that a raid triggers both raid and host alerts? But it seems only one plays. Ideally, I would like raids to only show raid alert and not a host alert. Is there anyway to configure this? I've been trying to figure this out.

it is correct, that from what I know twitch sends StreamElements for a raid a raid and a host alert. So StreamElements is trying to detect which one played and displaying one of them.
I am not sure how StreamElements coded that internally, so I cannot give much insight on this.

Hello, I've been having an issue with the !watchtime command, whenever someone uses it it just says 0 sec, even though they've been watching more than 3 hrs, and this issue is for everyone in the chat

@proper cobalt 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

I have an animation that obscures the old follower name and then retracts to show the new follower name a bit like a stinger, so making it wait like 500ms would make that look a lot smoother.

You're allowed to have one Personal and one Business account with PayPal. So don't delete your Personal one, but make a dedicated one for your streaming "business"

You'll still need to submit the same information (EIN or SSN, a name of your business, etc.)

Key thing is you want it so that you're "PayPal Verified". That's what keeps stopping you from receiving the funds because you're not verified with PayPal.

Why does it set the count (I'm happy it does set)? Why doesn't it increase the count?

Someone was trying to help me while I was live, but after they left, it continued to misbehave. The alerts show up in SE editor, but not always on OBS when I try to test it myself. • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

You can go to https://streamelements.com/dashboard/session to edit some of your widgets' content. As for your totals, that's done by the Twitch side, so once Twitch is accurate, those will be too.

Seeing as it probably got missed earlier: Is there some way to make the subscriber/follower label update a little later when a follow/subscribe event happens? I have an animation that obscures the old follower name and then retracts to show the new follower name a bit like a stinger, so making it wait like 500ms would make that look a lot smoother. Right now the name changes while the sliding animation is happening, which looks a bit weird.

hey i just switched over to streamelements, everything went smoothly just got one issue/question.
My Dashboard (Filtered to the month of January) doesn't show amount of followers or subscribers (i've had both in the month) - it does show a £1 donation "From 1 tip" but the rest of the data isnt there.

In activity feed, I see 2 tips (£1 each) and that's all. No subs, no follows, no bits... When I then go into my overlay editor and go to add a stream label for recent cheerer, it doesn't have anyone listed

Anything that took place prior to connecting to StreamElements will never appear in your dashboard. Twitch does not send histories through their API.

I moderate for a buddy of mine who uses channel points to redeem a tally mark next to your username on a whiteboard irl in his room. It's just a silly way of racking points for being here. We were curious if it's possible to make a Google Sheets page with one column being usernames, the next column being your current redemption count and have a command in Twitch chat that could parse the first column for the username given by moderator in the command call, then increment the second column's amount by 1, or create a brand new row at the bottom if the username is not found throughout the list. I'm semi-familiar with SE and Nightbot command creating, but I've rarely seen api usage. I was curious if this goes beyond the scope of capabilities or if there is a way to access the Sheet.

You would need to create a custom API that could do that for you. SE cannot do that out of the box.

I've had 3 tabs open on 720p60 of other streamers then when i have his stream open at 720p60 it's buffering. Anyone know why? @lusty fossil If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again
