If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Seeing how there is no specific channel for helpdesk of general stream elements, i'm trying to figure out how to either merge 2 accounts (youtube and twitch) or unlink one and claim it on the other account. When i try to delete my stream elements account, it says invalid username.

@violet rock if a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Hey all. Hopefully in the right forum for this. Trying to multistream on Twitch+FB through OBS studio. Did the stream key and URL pasting under the 'Custom...' option under 'Settings->Stream'. Not getting any feed through either service. No indications of any errors and OBS studio says I'm live. Is there another magic trick I'm missing?

@prisma relic I wanted to pop in and give a quick report. I've gone back into my overlay & ripped out all the CSS except for some bare bones styling. After doing so the game part of the overlay works like a champ, no noticeable delay. So it's obviously the amount of styling that I have in there. 1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello, I added the chat box to my overlay, the only option for a transparent background for the chat is "Custom". However this also makes the chats messages Black instead of White, making them unreadable because of the color of my overlays, is there a way around this?

Instead, it calculates everything.

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

my viewers and subs are not getting correct responses from the bot about how long they have been watching or the points they have it tells them zero which is not true and will not allow them to play slots or anything of those command types and was wondering what i can do to fix it

@icy root 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Hello, I'm having audio issues with my Twitch stream. I'm sure I probably just have something set wrong, but for some reason, you can't hear my voice if you replay my stream VOD. All other audio from the PS5 and my PC plays just fine. My voice is the only thing missing. Any ideas?

@fathom onyx If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Also noticed that when i try to make a subscriber alert, upload the video that i want, it insted plays one of the templet ones insted of the one i uploaded... You should have an alertbox for all of the types, just have to make sure to go over them all and configure them properly

regarding the overlay package please provide a screen capture of the behavior you're describing from the editor

our alerts work with xsplit, just need to set your StreamElements account up properly
follow the initial bot and tipping page setup in your account, once you have your tipping link activated donations will trigger alerts

and I don't have exact statistics but I believe most of our users use OBS Studio or OBS.Live or SLOBS (for which we cannot provide support)

I'd wholeheartedly recommend OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live - I've never had any real serious issues in about 2 years
but it's up to you to check if it really is more demanding to your system than other streaming programs

@next raft If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Add them to your Overlay Dashboard (so they pull data from your linked Twitch account), and then click Edit on that overlay and go to the top right to the LINK icon which will highly "Copy Overlay URL"

then in OBS, add a Browser source, and paste that URL in the top field! Make sure the dimensions match the widget's dimensions

10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

hi thre, maybe someone will know the solution to my problem. I have a problem with my sub alert. I think my overlay is set in a way that all kind of subs have the exact same alert - all variations are turned off. HOWEVER! if another sub gives someone else a sub - there is a diferent alert - it has my graphics for an alert, my sound for an alert but there is a TTS (at the moment i dont want it at all), and the bot on chat does something like combining the regular alert info (in Polish, set by me - red underline) with the info that someone gifted a sub (looks like a default msg)
