Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

Hey, not sure if you are able to help. I use Obs studio and streamelements with discord chat, I recorded to check sounds okay and you can hear my chat okay in that but when I go live you can't hear my discord chat at all and just my voice. So now my VODs have no one else's voice

Yes it is working 😄 But i have another question as well 🙂 My "Latest subscription gift" label does not show the person latest person that gifted. When i think about it maybe this is related to the same issue that my followers was not working, so it might work from now on. Just thought of this while writing 🙈

@lament blade If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I mean I honestly suggest to just play with settings. primary text is the action text, secondary is the message
for both you have text settings, and advanced text settings

play around with both to see what happens so you're aware of what you need to change

size will affect size, but if margins aren't set properly, it won't matter, you know what I mean?

Please refer to the modules subsection in the Bot section of your StreamElements dashboard located at https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot-modules and you'll see "Chat alerts"!

Enable all the ones you want and edit the message as you would like.

Please note that sometimes it may not seem like it is saving your custom messages but rest assured as long as you see "Saving... Saved" on the top right that it did in fact save. To verify, after you have made your changes just simply refresh the page and you're on your way! @lost turret

Hello! I did everything @viscid pebble recommended to do in order to fix Chatstats not showing for my renamed Twitch profile. I suppose only one last step left, which requires a member of staff. My old username is mozok_on_ukrainiantwitch, the new one is mozok_ua

@pearl sand If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.

On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.

Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi there, Streamelements bot question not sure if it's right place for it/ I've tried parting the bot away from my channel, mute and unmute from panel but no commands are actually working with it anything from basic commands to custom, Any other steps I could try to solve this?

@shadow bluff If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

!command show (commandname) - allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

I'm customizing my alerts and all went smoothly except for cheer. When I emulate a cheer it gives me the default sound and gif but I had no problems with the others. I tested it with different sounds and gifs that worked on the other alerts

@warm leaf if a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hi! I have a questions about custom commands!
I'm using a counter (kills) to display the amount of kills I got. And I would like to know how to code and additive command that uses a variable that I input.
Ex.

Total kills: 9

The only thing I figured out is that I can only implement a static additive number within the code. And not able to make it so that I can add my own variable with the code

Hi there. I need some help. I still have the same issue as before where I have 2x sound alerts coming out on my stream

i have 2 alerts setup. 1 that is for Sub/tips/cheer. 1 for follow/raids

Although I have multiple alerts in those overlay setup whereby one of them are without sound and one with sound.

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

I would still strongly recommend using a PC or laptop, but then again you won't be able to use overlays to begin with so you will only be able to add the chat bot and setup commands for it.

@quick surge Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

My streamelements alerts were showing up before but they werent centred so i was trying to fix that then they just stopped working altogether, i can hear them chime but there is no visuals. i have centred them using the obs setting below but it stopped showing the alerts before i edited that so i dont even know if its centred now.

that's because you're looking at the entire overlay. Unless you set thus properties in the browser source to match the needed dimensions it won't behave properly.

I’ve just moved over from Streamlabs to Streamelements for the more functionality modules, and because every overlay I use is on there. I remember on Streamlabs for the Loyalty Store sound effect it would redeem on stream, like a follow alert. Hello Everyone! You can set a profile which will save your stream platform settings and then all you have to do is sign out/in via the StreamElements Menu item @untold venture

You'll want to create a scene collection for Facebook / Twitch so you can switch between the two and alerts function correctly, but that should work for what you're doing.

You would have to use a computer and stream your ps4 using a capture card to that PC and use whatever overlays you want in the program im pretty sure.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Not sure if this is the right channel. I am using the tip jar overlay "hypecup" and for some reason is not showing in OBS. I used the Halloween pumpkin and it worked fine. When I selected a new one, the new tip jar is not appearing. Ideas?

Prime Gaming (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For Prime Gaming, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. @gray pond 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

I have my desired streamelements url attached to my youtube channel, so when I do !donate in my twitch chat it responds with {name}-xxxx, is there any way to make both my youtube and twitch use the same donation link?

@maiden ore 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.
