Hello Guys, so i have set up my Streamelements overlays and alerts a while back and its been working really well so far. However today i switched my stream key in OBS to an Test account i made on twitch to test some audio settings etc and after that all overlays and alerts stopped showing up in OBS. I rebooted my pc, changed my streamkey again to the one of my main account, check visibility options, retried copying and pasting in a new url and even created a new source but nothing seems to work. Do you guys/girls have any suggestions?

So the activity feed stopped updating for follower events, but other stuff like raids still show up just fine (obviously I checked the filters). Any idea how to fix that?

oh and btw the custom named bot just stops working every so often (default streamelements bot still works). I've tried parting/rejoining and re-logging in and the custom bot just work for like less then 5 mins then goes dead again pepeL Any idea what to do as well? thx in advance

Sorry to interrupt guys, I've just seen on SE my group channel's follower count shows as 0. For my personal channel I was able to rectify this with a reset of session data, but when I do it for the group channel it just takes everything back to 0. Do I need to initialise something?

@limpid niche 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

@limpid niche If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@frozen leaf Valve has implemented a trusted mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS:GO using Game Capture. Read more in their announcement post here https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/07/30736/.

Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in trusted mode.

You will need to run the game in either windowed or borderless fullscreen and use Window Capture instead.
Alternately, you can launch the game with -allow_third_party_software.

Im still having the issue with the followers merging on my OBS.live and Streamelements website. ( I did recently switch from SLOBS, but I deactivated the bots and made sure my SE bot was connected). I believe its only my follower alerts.

I've got an issue in OBS.Live, where my OBS doesn't pick up one of the widgets in my overlay. Everything else works fine, just that one widget doesn't. It's the Alpha Rotating Widget (custom widget)

It also works fine in the editor and on the preview, just not in OBS.

My labels for "top cheerers" and "top gifters" don't seem to be working. They show up in the overlay editor but won't show in OBS. Still got sub count and latest sub labels but top cheerers and gifters won't show. Refreshed a bunch of times (browser and OBS), re-added the labels, they won't show up in OBS. Any ideas?

Whenever I run test alerts on OBS I run 1 and it works, then going onto the second one and it just doesn't popup? The only way I get it to popup with another one is switching onto another scene and back onto the main one, even then only 1 test alert will popup.. any ideas? 🤔

Case 2: Emote explosion for Subscribers:

They show in the overlay, properly.
In OBS, I get this tiny window in a corner that shows them... but only in that tiny window corner.
The area for the Kappagen alert is not that top-left corner... but the explosion only shows there.

For some reason, it looks like I am only importing a tiny view of what should be a full-screen view of Kappagen in action.

This seems to be a bug from SE and not something I can control on my end.
(Yes, my browser source is the size of the whole screen.. in case you were going to ask.)

Dear people on this streamelements server

My media request is acting weird recently, there is something like code for the media request overlay floating on my screen. My media request tab (where i can moderate my media requests) is detecting that the media request overlay is on my entire stream overlay, but it's still not functioning and still showing me the code.

@stone loom 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Hello There, I've got a problem with the StreamElements overlay and my Streamlabs OBS. The whole day i tried to add the created overlay into my Streamlabs. I did it with Browsersource and tried it several times and in different Scenes... but it does not work.. can anybody give me an advice how to fix that problem? Thanks a lot 🙂

We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

Trying to use Kappagen.

In the overlay Edit view, everything works perfectly.

In my OBS preview window, nothing works.
(Yes, I saved the overlay and yes, it is added to OBS.)

Case 1: Emotes appearing when someone in chat uses them:

They show in the overlay.

Nothing shows in OBS.

Case 2: Emote explosion for Subscribers:

They show in the overlay, properly.

In OBS, I get this tiny window in a corner that shows them... but only in that tiny window corner.
The area for the Kappagen alert is not that top-left corner... but the explosion only shows there.

For some reason, it looks like I am only importing a tiny view of what should be a full-screen view of Kappagen in action.

This seems to be a bug from SE and not something I can control on my end.
(Yes, my browser source is the size of the whole screen.. in case you were going to ask.)
Still have this problem... anyone know why SE Kapagen does not work?

A few months ago, I created a Tip Goal for a new chair on my stream, and reach the goal last week. Now i want to creat another goal, but the goal bar still count the past goal, even if i change the ammount and the tittle.
I already buy the new chair, and don’t have any founds on PayPal, but still count the ammount ho i use.
I don’t know how to set up a new tip goal, without this old data.

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Overlays in StreamElements default to 1920x1080. Changing the overlay's resolution in its properties will not rearrange or resize any widgets in the overlay. You have a lot of editing ahead of you.

@lethal gulch The Streamlabs to StreamElements import is for alerts and revenue history only. The Ankhbot import allows you to obtain commands and timers from their locally installed chatbot only, not their cloud-based bot. There is no import of loyalty points.

Hi, I created a command and it wasn't what I was thinking so I removed it. But typing the command for it in my chat, it still appears. Even though I deleted it.

@finite niche Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Hello, I changed my name on Twitch (old name: dacviolin, new name: dacswan) and would like to have my Chat Stats tracking updated. I have logged out/in of SE to update my Twitch connection and I've already modded the SE bot, so my understanding is the last step is having a staff member manually change it - is this channel the best place to reach a staff member? Thanks so much!

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hey guys, my activity feed is stuck on november 3rd. I did try to reset the session, but all the events after the 3rd are not showing, and my alerts don't worth either while streaming.
When i test my alerts, they pop on OBS but while streaming, i get the chat notification for the sub, but the alert does not trigger.
I would appreciate some help <3

We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Trying to use Kappagen.

In the overlay Edit view, everything works perfectly.

In my OBS preview window, nothing works.
(Yes, I saved the overlay and yes, it is added to OBS.)

Case 1: Emotes appearing when someone in chat uses them:

They show in the overlay.

Nothing shows in OBS.

Case 2: Emote explosion for Subscribers:

They show in the overlay, properly.

In OBS, I get this tiny window in a corner that shows them... but only in that tiny window corner.
The area for the Kappagen alert is not that top-left corner... but the explosion only shows there.

For some reason, it looks like I am only importing a tiny view of what should be a full-screen view of Kappagen in action.

This seems to be a bug from SE and not something I can control on my end.
(Yes, my browser source is the size of the whole screen.. in case you were going to ask.)
Still no replies to this problem.
Still no change.... I'll provide screen shots as well:

I currently use Stream Elements for all of my alerts and am currently using the pre-packaged alert widget. The issue I have is that single viewer hosts are not appearing in my activity feed and therefore not showing as an alert. This is an important part of engaging with my community and something that StreamLabs does without issue.

Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

To reset goals:

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

My followers on twitch is not registrated on streamelements anymore, it has been like this since around November 1st.
Subs show up, also gifted subs and resubs. I have made sure that followers have not been unchecked in the activity feed.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Now there is no way to delay that
only in the animation of the new alert you can do that

Hey guys! I seem to have this issue with StreamElements where if I have a Sub Goal, I can only edit the end goal but not the number of subs I have currently. The only way that seems to work is when I want to emulate a subscriber event in SE. Is there a normal way to change it?

I'm looking for some assistance. It's kind of embarrassing because it's such a petty thing to prevent me from using Streamelements. I have added the HypeCup widget to an overlay and selected for it to use the whole screen. I can't precisely control where the HypeCup ends up though. I know I'm given the arrow tools but I'm looking to manipulate the HypeCup position in the overlay down to the pixel. Is there any way to do this?

hello, i had my old headphones and my desktop sound was loud enough for stream, but i could lower the volume for myself, got mysel new headphoens now and they are controlling all the sounds, so for example if i actually want people to hear my desktop audio i have to have it 100% for myself, then it only barely peaks desktop audio, when i used my old headset desktop audio was loud while i could lower the sound for myself but desktop audio wouldnt chage.... (hard to explain sorry xd) hope you get what im trying to say? is there a way to fix it or is it all programmed on headphones themselves?

@old bolt Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Hi guys. Do we have like a backend-helpdesk ?
My problem : I was on Mixer and now I'm on Twitch. I tried to remove my Mixer channel from StreamElement (it was buggy because Mixer is ded obviously).
But by deleting my Mixer channel, my Twitch Overlay disappeared from the Dashboard ! How can I get it back ?

@autumn owl There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@pearl sand If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.

On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.

Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Any helpers on! Streamelements isn't displaying my most recent data is there a way I can use my previous subs, followers, cheerers etc
is there a way I could do that even if the stream ends so the "latests" dont reset and they show, because I imported streamlabs and it still doesnt show all of my data like recent follower recent sub and recent cheerer, is there a fix for this to import this data, because Im working on a rotating metrics widget and the data isnt showing up at all, I'd appreciate the help!

hey there, we're using the OBS.live plugin for our OBS stream, and the music widget isn't showing up on stream. whenever we press "show on stream" the music stops playing altogether, and nobody on the stream can hear it anyway.

1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut -> properties - in the "Target" field add this -> --remote-debugging-port=40404
2) Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
3) Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
4) Click StreamElements - Media request link
5) Point the (in browser) URL to https://youtube.com
6) Use the OBS dock to search for a song and play it after ads
7) Restart OBS and preform media request via chat
8) Remove --remote-debugging-port=40404 from shortcut

Hello everyone! I just made the switch to OBS/Streamelements from SLOBS and I'm super happy with the move after doing my first stream with it today. However, I have a small issue that I'm not sure how to go about fixing. My alerts are working except for the follows. There is no sound, no alert appearing on stream, the test works perfectly fine but then none of the follows were being capture by SE, they weren't even showing up in the OBS activity feed. Hi there, I seem to have an issue with the tip goal in stream elements. It does not follow my actual donation amount and will instead get stuck on the test donation or default to $200 if I reset it from the tip preferences.

It should be either $0 or $90 depending on if it imported my previous donations from Streamlabs.

Any ideas on how to get this to display properly?

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

@onyx plover 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

@minor jolt To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

@minor jolt You can test alerts via the Emulate bell on the lower left side of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard > My Overlays > pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the Preview LIVE on stream option is on to see the alert in OBS/XSplit** https://streamable.com/vtulg9

Hello! I'm having an issue troubleshooting my follow alerts not triggering. Neither the bot message or the overlay alert are going off, but every other timer, bot message, and overlay is showing up for subs/raids/hosts etc.

Go to "My Overlays" -> Edit on any of the overlays you want the redemption widget at -> (+) button -> 'redem' in the search bar -> navigate to the highlighted location for the widget -> add the widget -> save -> redeem an item

so I'm having a issue with logging into my stream elements. every time i click login with twitch it comes up with the my dashboard button. i click that and it just refreshes the website and has me click the my dashboard button again and just continues to repeat that.

yea doesn't work, it says login connect with twitch youtube facebook and i click twitch and log into my twitch account and then it says my dashboard and i click that and it just loops me back to the my dashboard button but shows me logged in at the top right of the page.

Like when you have somebody gifting 10 that is just announces them one by one including the gifter
