i had already tried turning the layer off and back on again... IT crowd taught me right... as well as closing out of SE altogether... the Layers in the alert box do not show up when I click into it. Nothing happens (I dont have a merch alert FWIW)

@glossy marlin I'd recommend using the auto configuration wizard as it will give you the proper setup needed for you to be able to stream with no issues it's located in Tools> Auto configuration Wizard than follow the prompts.
It'll optimize your obs.live to your PC components to give you the best settings for streaming

If you are using OBS I'd recommend downloading OBS.Live as it is an add-on(extension) for you to be able to see your chat and any activities such as subs/follows/ etc in your OBS. Plus it gives you a ton more things you can utilize. @frosty plaza

In totals, clicked "Reset session", no change.
Session data automatically resets 5 minutes post stream. All events that occur off-stream will be accumulated towards your next stream. <- From this description it seems like it is to do with the stream session data rather than all time data.

Streamlabs intelligently and automatically merges not only those but even tracks name changes and as long as it's the same account on Twitch it merges the bits totals.
That's going to be an absolute PITA to present that to viewers that the cheers leader board is now completely messed up and some of the top cheerers aren't even going to be on it as they have updated the spelling of their username a few times.
This considerably dampens my enthusiasm of moving to SE from SL...
If I had to guess, your code tracks the Twitch account name instead of using the associated account ID that's provided through Twitch's API.

That would only solve a small part of the issue, though. I have a few cheerers that like to change their name now and then. Even doing that they've managed to achieve high spots on the top leaderboard as Streamlabs automatically merged those and used the latest Twitch username from that ID. In your case if your system can't track those changes it would directly affect my earnings as some of these cheerers are competitive and like to cheer just to get higher up the list. Ironically, your system would go against what you advertise SE as - a platform that encourages revenue growth.
Would it be possible to find out for sure how exactly would it work with Twitch account capitalisation and user name changes if I end up using you, guys?

Hi All. new to Stream elements and streaming to twitch as a combo. MY channel is small and I only have 3 followers. I have an issue (or maybe i dont understand how it works) that if i add a label for Latest follower on my overlay it doesnt actually show the last person that followed. is it limited by time? the label works if i send a test event to it but it doesnt pick the last of my 3 followers.

I have the problem that the widget "asset rotator/slideshow doesnt work anymore. I can see it in the overlay manager, but not in the preview or in obs. Support said that the widget is running smoothly. I emptied all caches of all my browsers and even in OBS.

There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

I have an overlay that has such kind of widget, and where I have loaded a couple of videos. Funny thing, this layer has worked normally for weeks, but... all of the sudden it stopped working, not showing any video anymore. I've tried erasing and creating again the same widget, with the same and different videos... but nothing! It's like this widget wouldn't work anymore with videos. But even funnier is that if I create another overlay with a slideshow widget with some videos, it works... but when I copy the same to other overlay I had, it's there but... again... it doesn't work at all!!!
I want to keep this same overlay, because the URL is being used among several scenes collections that I share with several streamer friends, and would like to avoid them the hassle of having to update the corresponding source in OBS

@hoary turret well... it seems I found a workaround... so... if that could be of help to anyone... simply put at the beginning of the sequence of videos to be shown on the slideshow an animated GIF. It worked for me! 😊 ...although if anyone else knows of a better method (or if this is effectively a known bug/issue) I'd greatly appreciate

You all ever get the "Something went wrong. Try running that quick action again later." on Twitch's Stream Manager? Even after restarting chrome it will still sometimes give me the error so I take physical notes of time stamps instead of stream markers. I tried it in incognito as well and same issue. @wild sparrow 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

if a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

@cunning ridge Text not showing up over your alerts? Go to the Advanced Text Settings and set the top margin to 50, you can work your way to the right position from there.

@ashen burrow To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

hello there I am a new streamer and Im having issues with the tips I receive. paypal keeps treating them as a sale of goods and holding them? I have a business account and I followed the instructions of creating it from another streamer. paypal is no help as usual. how can I solve this issue please help

the strange thing is that most are getting (on hold), but in rare cases one will pass. I asked paypal on whats the problem and how to fix it and their respons was (If that is the case, then there is nothing much we can do about it. You should receive it in the same way as you have been receiving. ^AAK)
that response was to this Msg (I just tested this with a friend and there are no options other than tip me (stream elements) and the pay button on the PayPal page

The other 'error' is, most likely you need to disconnect and connect your twitch account to OBS again.
or place the streamkey manually and place auto detect for the twitch servers

yesterday, when i was streaming, i noticed that i'd gotten a new follower through the twitch stream manager. but for some reason, there had been no pop-up alert for it on stream (the follower widget thingy). I also have a lil text box that shows the name of the latest follower beneath my webcam, but that didnt show the latest follower's name either.
I went to Streamelements to see what was up, cuz the follower stuff had worked fine earlier in the stream when ppl hit the follow button. I noticed, when looking at the SE dashboard, that SE didnt even show the latest follower, but the name of the person who last followed before that.
I figured that there was probably something up with the connection betwen my twitch account and SE, and I figured I could wait overnight to see if itd fix itself on its own, but it hasnt yet. Do I need to disconnect my twitch from SE and reconnect it somehow, to fix it? Would like some help with this please uwu
