@median rose If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@rigid ferry If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@lament blade There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@strong kernel hey ive been experimenting with that previous issue with media request giving not available in your country error and im just providing feedback. i added media request to regular obs as a test and having the same error with it skipping saying media not available in your country error as well. seems to be an issue with ground control since it works fine on the streamelements web page, im not too sure since this just started happening yesterday. i tried reinstall, reset session, doesn't seem to be a fix that i can find.

If you emulate a "custom" amount and type 100 and a message it will show the text if you just press the "cheer" button it will generate the message like that

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

To best capture League of Legends, create two scenes.
In the first scene, add a Window Capture of the LoL launcher/lobby (Windows 7 users should make sure Aero is enabled.).
In the second scene, add a Game Capture of the game itself (you may need to be in a game to add this for the first time).
Then configure the Scene Switcher to automatically swap between them. @proud schooner

@brisk hound 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Payout requests usually take a week or two to be processed and paid out..

@steel turtle If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

The extension settings should reflect what you set it to. If it doesn't show data that had been received, try to uninstall and reinstall it on Twitch.
Try to reset the session to make sure your information is up to date, and I'll even try to log out from SE and Twitch before re-installing the extension.

While i was live, someone said to me in my chat, that the discord is louder than me and from the game itself.
On my audio mixer, i can see that there are two bars combined(one on top of the other), and i assume that one of them is the Discord.

Stream Elements however seems to be pulling only the followers I've gotten since joining stream elements and not my entire follower list. Ex: On my profile it says I have 54 followers. Hi. today i start to stream on TWITCH.
I setup everything with StreamElements, everything is going right unless the Tips.
I setup the tips as you suggest, my PayPal account is verified, and i check the account with a few of transaction out of StreamElement, so the PayPal acount isn't the problem.
I put the tipping page link in my channel's panel, and that's the right link.
So i can't understand what's the problem with the tips, in the StreamElements feed activity i don't have any tips, also the tips alert didn't appear during the stream.
The real problem is that the people payed for the tips, but the alert didn't appear, and i don't have money on StreamElements dashboard, also in my PayPal account.

I would recommend checking the settings for the alert. Check that you have TTS enabled for bits and check the minimum amount required for the TTS to trigger.
If you have alert variations, check those as well.

@molten narwhal If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
  • Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs.

Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

do you have the variations for the resubs?
@little oak in the overlays editor it just gives me a list of the alert types and there is only 1 for subscriptions. I don't see any way to add variations.

within the alert settings go to the cog wheel then t here you will see subscibers then below you will see the variations setting and there you will be able to create a resub variations for when they resub

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

  1. Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
  2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404
  3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
  4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
  5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
  6. Navigate to the Console tab
  7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
  8. Try setting the custom bot name
  9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

My loyalty points stopped working when I put the channel on Replay, until two days ago, when I stop Live and put on replay, the Leadboard always showed Online, and the guys got points, now the Leadboard always show Offline when i put my channel on replay, and people stopped to earned points.

Hey, looking for some help. With the stream store on streamelements, we have it set for a new follower to gain 100 points on the stream. someone has figured out that if you unfollow and follow again you get another 100 points, and this has started a trend. How do you stop this? Thank you very much.

@hearty violet If you want to add StreamElements overlay to OBS you just need to add a new browser source and provide URL there. Make sure your overlay dimensions match browser source ones.

@coral zodiac We can't track if somebody unfollows (Twitch doesn't inform about those actions) and we store some recent followers to prevent alerts. I think that dispatching points for follows is not the best idea unfortunately, but it all depends on community.

Also 3500 kbps is too low for 720p60. For that I would recommend higher bitrate (to make overall quality better).

@wheat torrent Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.
