Hi, so I have switched to streamelements from streamlabs for my alertbox. The alertbox has been working perfectly for two weeks and now all of a sudden does not work at all. I have tried creating a new alert box which also doesnt work. Not sure what to do, I have another rotating widget on streamelements which is still working fine.

so i have an alert box in stream elements, when i edit and live test it shows the alert box currently working. However if i open this alert box in a separate tab, or paste the url in to my browser source in streamlabs obs the same alerts no longer work

@robust gyro Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

@idle cypress We are aware that its an inconvenience that there are not proper editing tools for the quote logs. If your !qoute 1 is an empty one currently and you strongly believe its the header of the .xsxl then feel free to remove it, but as I mentioned there is no other way to properly edit the quotes list as we are working on a proper UI for it, but no ETA can be given. All that being said, there are no other complaints as of recent about the import.

What the import tools usually do is remove the top roll of an .xsxl or .cvs file and then attempt to import.

That doesn't remedy the problem - the problem stems from the import feature being badly implemented. If you specify the exact files to be imported from a specific client, your import tool should be tailored to edit the files accordingly. Currently your currency import works in minutes, yet imports an ankhbot file based in hours (and doesnt convert) so we had to do that manually. Now we find the quotelog to be screwed because you havn't factored in for the header row.

This needs to be fixed, it's misleading, infuriating and just plain lazy.

hey there, quick question... I am managing a channel with SE and do not get the Link Protection to work properly. The user is able to send links in chat (although the immunity setting is set to "No one") and the SE bot does not really care about it. The channel is currently offline, but I experienced the same problem while it was live. Thank you 🙂

hey question: i've got a decent overlay from the free themes i've set up on streamelements
i'm trying to export it to streamlabs OBS. it;s in the browser source, it should work and yet....
i've tried with a bunch of themes, it only works sometimes and only shows the camera screen and not anything else (i don't even use the camera on stream)
do you have any idea why?

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

so like nightbot am I able to integrate code into my commands for more advanced commands? I had a shotout command with nightbot that would remove the @ symbol in the users link. example: "!so @cunning pine" would return something like "Hey go check out @agile spear they were last playing 'Game' at twitch.tv/user"

It is the default.ogg file sound and I am trying to change it so I can recognize it better. I have deleted it out, added a new one, I have deleted it completely, I deleted the entire alert and added a fresh one and still I hear the default.ogg which is hardly noticeable on stream. Good day, everyone! I'm looking for reason of Media Request overlay widget lagging. Sometime after clicking Show On Stream and activate widget in obs browser source, it randomly stops or start playing not from beginning of the song. After 2 or 3 songs this error appears. Anybody was solving this problem? Thinking about chrome bug that bugs javascript in not focused tab, but idk how I can fix that. And idk the real problem of glitching MR widget. Can anyone reply?

@lament blade Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

Try logging out of twitch wait a min and then log back on. Of course the stream might need to go live and then it should populate after a bit.

Our Dashboard and Overlay editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

Best to contact NerdOrDie on this.
Normally they add an installation link to their purchases, which you click and the overlays are added to your overlay section at StreamElements.
From there you can add them to your OBS with 1920x1080 resolution as a browser source.

Hi guys, I'm currently in the process of migrating all my stream stuff from Streamlabs to SE. I've managed to export my my commands etc from the SL Chatbot, but when I import them into SE in tells me it failed 😦

@tawdry crane Our Dashboard and Overlay editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

since yesterday, my overlays containing the media player widget no longer play music. when i click "show on stream" in obs.live, i get a "no active widgets were detected" error. i have tried making a brand new overlay with a new instance of the widget, but get same error. it does play back inside the overlay editor, but even when i test using the preview popout, i get the same error.

i just fixed it. until now, i made the media player widget invisible in the overlay editor because i just wanted the music, and no video. but now it looks like the overlay considers the widget unavailable if it's set to invisible. must be a recent change, i'll use another way to hide the overlay. thank you SE for a great setup overall, i recently migrated fully from SL and i'm happy that i did!

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

Click on your Channel Name at the top of the dashboard and select Settings
Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)

Not sure if anyone else has been experiencing this, but for some reason my !redeem sound effects stopped actually producing sounds since yesterday. A confirmation appears in chat that the sound effect was successful, but no sounds play. I had been using them successfully for a long time before that. Did something change recently?

There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

some of my ! commands only come up as **** in the chat room now. They used to work. In fact, they worked for me in the chat and 1 other person, but some viewers only got the **** instead of the html link. Now it seems like none of my custom commands are working. You can test Alerts via the Emulate bell on the lower left side of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard -> My Overlays -> Pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the "Preview LIVE on stream" option is on to see the alert in OBS/Xsplit https://streamable.com/vtulg9

🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@south flicker Due to a recent change from Twitch API, these features are affected by the change:

Ground Control does not have Custom Bot Name
Subscriber count will count the Channel and any other permanent sub you may have (+1 or +2 or +3 on top).
We are working on fixing both issues, but there is no ETA.
OBS.Live still has Custom Bot name working fine in it.

hey guys.
Ive recently gone to streamelements website and im currently using its leaderboard through twitch extension for points which i want to use as a currency.
The currency could be used for chess match request/song requests/vip ranks in discord/stream/raiding small streamers.
If anyone can help me go through setting it all up i would greatly appriciate it

the user only redeems the item, you are the one that needs to manually make and take the VIP status on your Twitch dashboard afaik

Hello, I have a really weird issue with the StreamElements bot. It seems like bot is constantly ignoring settings that I do setup for Media request. For example, I have max 2 songs limit, and seems like people can request as many songs as they want, no matter which one settings do I set up. Any ideas what might cause it?
