Is this normal, or is something that i did wrong.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

Copy overlay with alertbox only, so you have two overlays with alertbox.

In first one - go to everything except subs, remove all variations, click "open editor" and remove everything there (and also disable that type of event).

On the second one, do the same, but remove subs only (and all of variations)

With that you will have two alertboxes, you have to put one over another, and both will take less space.

I mod some channels with SE and I have been trying to find a way to make commands to set games, so its easier for mods and streamer to change the game BUT, is it possible, when making the command, that it automaticlly will be set to mod regulation? So its not for "everyone" in chat? I know it can be changed in Dashboard but don't have access to that in all channels. That will make the streamers job easier and safer 🙂

🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

@cursive flame Service has absolutely nothing to do with starting stream and it not appearing on Twitch. That's 100% to do with how you've set things up in Settings>Stream, and if Twitch is accepting the connection.

Hi, I'm trying to help a streamer who's managed to create completely separate accounts on streamelements, one for her twitch and another for her youtube channel. I'm using remote desktop to help her (she's very very new). I've managed to link her mixer account to her youtube, but I can't link her twitch because the channel is "already claimed". I tried e-mailing you (Actually KeiZar I think you replied but perhaps misunderstood the issue, or I misunderstood the response), basically I need to somehow merge the accounts, so that we can use the same overlays (or copy them from each service - which we can't do right now as streamelements considers them completely separate accounts. I tried deleting the account connected to her twitch account, so I could link the twitch to the youtube/mixer account, but for some reason closing the account isn't working either. Getting quite stressed trying to get this working hehe. Any help on how to merge the accounts would be greatly appreciated.

yeah closing the account will quite happily complain if you get an uppercase/lowercase wrong, but when you get it all right, it just does nothing. Making trying to fix this unwanted-connection harder than it probably ought be hehe 🙂

if anyone else has this problem, I stumbled upon a fix. For some reason resizing the overlay worked oposite. I had to set my stage at 720, then right click on the overlay, click custom under resolution, and make it 1080. That, for some unknown reason, cause everything to be in the right place. If I tried to make the overlay size 720 it would just zoom in to the top corner of the screen.

We can't really advise you on setting up a two-PC setup. If you want to try that with a laptop, which in a very general sense we cannot ever recommend because of laptops' limitations, then you can if you want.

I have scenes with top cheerers and gifters list. One of the names on the gifters list changed his name a few weeks ago and now his name appears twice. He gifted after changing his name too so there is his original name and then his new/current username which has one more gifted above it. I have tried to find a way to merge or delete the data for the original username. I'm a small streamer. I list the top 10. I don't have that many gifters tbh but the same guy taking up 2 spots is dumb. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks

@young summit Due to a recent change from Twitch API, these features are affected by the change:

• Ground Control does not have Custom Bot Name
• Subscriber count will count the Channel and any other permanent sub you may have (+1 or +2 or +3 on top).
  We are working on fixing both issues, but there is no ETA.
  OBS.Live still has Custom Bot name working fine in it.

Hello, All of a sudden, about 2 hours ago, StreamElements suddenly had difficulty streaming to my Twitch feed. It's been working beautifully for 12 days, now I can barely get a signal out. Not at my limit on my Internet Service, so there shouldn't be throttling. Everything seems to be working fine. I can stream videos without any lag from the internet, I just can't stream out all of a sudden for some reason.

@snow peak Please provide a log from your last stream. To do this, in OBS go to Help > Log Files > Upload Last Log File and paste the link to the log file here.

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

@desert gulch If you changed your name on Twitch please follow these steps:
🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hey, the host alert does not work at all, and it never has for as long as I've been using streamelements.

@covert stratus Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.
