Anyone know why a vertical canvas scene despite linked correctly doesn't switch with the scene and stays stuck? For me, it's the Live scene for in-game action. It's kind of annoying when every other scene links correctly and switches with them apart from that one scene.

Update: Seems that scenes and vertical scenes can not be named exactly the same otherwise does not work. Had to rename "Live" and "Live" to "Game" and "Gaming"

Hi, short question: Why doesn't the StreamElements activity feed update in the live stream in OBS?

it depends on how the goal bar is coded... usually for things i code, emulating a cheer will only trigger stuff like an alert box but not a goal bar. if it used to "sense" emulated events and now it doesnt, i have to assume that something was changed in the settings/code of said widget

you can always find someone who does 😛 anyway, to your question - the default cheer goal will not respond to emulated cheer event, but it should work just fine as long as you see events on your dashboard for example

if the idea is to test the colors you can always click the session-data button on the top right of the editor and change the goal's progress to a specific number

Super weird question, a friend donated 10 euros (super nice) but the alert never showed up, it did show up on my OBS SE thingy but when I reply the alert it doesnt popup at all, and if I emulte a donation it does show up.

So I have a wired problem - I'm using Stream Elements multi stream plugin for OBS and for some reason it stopped creating live on YT. It uses my Internet connection, but the live is not showing on channel. And the stupid part is, that it worked before and there was no update that shows this. Hello i'm having an issue where i have zero audio from my alerts on OBS. I have control audio on OBS enabled i have monitoring on i have my desktop audio, mic and advanced monitoring set to my fifine sc3 interface and the URL for the browser source is fine as well. I've disabled browser source hardware acceleration as well. I'm just at a total loss as to what to do next, any help is much appreciated thanks!

oki yesterday I was doing troubleshoots (ever since I got SE.live as an OBS extension my obs keeps crashing.) and the streaming output still worked.

When I open the canvas settings, my RAM usage gradually increases to the maximum (32GB) after a short time.

The same thing happens when I switch scenes in canvas — my RAM usage increases by about 500 MB each hour. If I keep switching back and forth, it eventually uses up all my available RAM.

I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. I'm logged into StreamElements in OBS with my YouTube as my primary, and I can go live and it shows up there. But even with a direct account connection to Twitch, it simply refuses to go through.

Not to my knowledge I don’t believe there is a dedicated tutorial but with every new canvas there is a new dock that lists all the scenes to that canvas, in those scenes you’d make the browser source or whatever to each respective canvas

For example I have TikTok alerts that only shows on my vertical canvas and I have twitch alerts show only on my horizontal canvas, note: because I use desktop audio capture instead of application audio capture, whatever alerts happen on TikTok with audio, also make sound on my twitch stream and vice versa

I have "full control" access to a streamer's SE dashboard and overlays, but I'm not able to access the settings for any tiltify widgets...it just shows a "connect" button and then sits forever on getting things ready. the actual account owner has SE+tiltify connected, and is able to configure the widgets

does anyone know if lack of access to tiltify widgets for "manager" accounts a known limitation, or is this something about my browser?

Hi can I get support regarding stream alerts? I am currently hosting a large charity and are using stream elements for alerts coming from Tiltify. I tried doing different variations based on the amount donated but the variations don't seem to be working.

The alerts work for the most part. But the variations set up when someone donated $20 or $100 doesn't play. it's almost always the basic alert even if it's over $20

Hello, sorry, I wanted to ask some help about the MultiStream tool! YouTube (which is my primary output) won't start the stream neither in a horizontal format (primary) nor a vertical one (canvas) if is set on an HLS key, but it will on a RTMP key. Is there any way for me to make it work? Since I want to stream in HDR, it's necessary for me to stream with an HLS Variable key. Also, on the Twitch side, when trying to launch the multistream, I will get the red dot on the dock, saying that Twitch is connected and actively streaming, but I won't get anything from the Twitch side, like if OBS never launched anything. Also, maybe this is a silly question, but do I need to use the same encoder for every output? Is it recommended? Is it better to use different encoders?

Guys, i didnt understand how to configure youtube + twitch multistream. The videos(tutorial) says that i have to add the bitrate of both lives and use the result as standard 6k twitch, 6k youtube. I put 12k on the settings. But my twitch channel had 10k bitrate and was crashing. So i didnt get it. I have to put only 6k on the setting for both lives or i have to put 12k? Its so confusing

Hi! I'm having a strange problem. With my main Twitch account, alerts via SE are not showing up. Even if i simulate or preview them, they won't show up or make any sound. It's not an OBS problem, it's a problem with my account connection to SE. The Chat widget however works.

If I try a completely fresh Twitch account, link it to SE and doing exactly the same, the alerts work there. So it has to be something between the linking of my Twitch account with SE.

What I've done so far:

• Reset My Personal Access Token
• Unlinked account connection and reestablished it

Nothing helped so far, maybe anyone had a similar issue and can help me? The last step would be to close and reopen the account, however, I'm trying to avoid that.

What game you trying to play? Some games have strict anti cheat in which it requires OBS to be ran in administrator mode in order to correctly capture the game. Some examples are marvel rivals, call of duty, delta force etc

It doesn’t need it to show the game category you want to play in the drop down. You can manually type whatever game you want.

Nope, I have tried, many many times before. The problem comes and goes, but if you don't select from the drop down, the stream simply won't start and an error will come up

I play a game I used sorce clone for certain stuff on my game that I want to have on my vertical stream but when I am not in game I want to dissable them cuz it looks bad on the screen . I stream my display screen . But I don't have acces to my vertical canvas to dissable them before going in game again what's my solution ?

Sounds like a scene/source management issue. You might want to use separate scenes and hotkeys or the OBS Scene Switcher to handle visibility between vertical and horizontal setups. Want me to walk you through it?

Is anyone else getting this problem? The Multistream plugin stops streaming after a while but only on the vertical cam streams. It last 2 hours today and just over an hour Friday and I'm at a lost right now. Is anyone else having this problem? My landscape streams are fine. I can't restart my vertical streams either unless I restart obs which is super annoying. I've switched to a new computer and never had this problem on my old one.

I'm using selive to multistream to Twitch and Youtube. I have Twitch set as my primary stream, and I have "Enhanced Broadcasting" enabled for Twitch. In my Youtube stream I get warnings that the bitrate is lower than recomended, but I don't see a way to adjust the bitrate in the multistream settings. Is there any way to set the bitrate for Youtube while still having "Enhanced Broadcasting" enabled for Twitch?

Hello, today was the first time that I did a multistream on twitch and tiktok using the streamelement plugin. But I have some question. Is there a way to see what's happening on screen while on tiktok. Like when I use tiktok audio, I can see when people put hearts on stream and when I receive gift. and I can see if everything is running smoothly. I dont see those on obs while I stream. When I opened tiktok on my cell I did'nt even see my live. but some viewer from twitch went to check my tiktok and told me it was running. But not being able to see it myself, is not optimal.

and is there a way to see the stats after stream for the platform other than twitch.

so far I love the plugin, but without those two aspect, I think it's lacking a little bit

1. Make sure your stream is public. The bot cannot join a private/unlisted stream.
2. Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.
3. Go to https://studio.youtube.com/, click on Settings > Community and add https://youtube.com/c/streamelements or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjerlCIbLPQwSnYlClkjDXg as a Moderator.
4. When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

hello today selive autoupdate when I opened obs and now obs doesn't open anymore, it stays in the process. I tried launching a second instance and it open a blank not working app. I tried uninstalling selive (rebooting, opening OBS and it works) so I installed it again, and same problem. I suspect the app has all the new docks open because all the other times the docks for multistream and stuff almost makes me pc explode. This time I can't even reach the option to disable them. Is there a way to remove them without opening obs??

okay after 30 minutes I managed to make it works by opening OBS in safe mode and removing all basic docks so that only the preview was visible, so when i opened the second instance it was lighter and it opened slowly, and i could manually close each new docks
leaving this in case someone else has my same problem

For some reason, laptop was reading the logitech camera as an audio device. Went to audio properties, disabled its "microphone" setting and finally, issue got solved.

So this happened to me multiple times, i did find that if you download their installer from their website, and install it over your current installation (I know u already removed it, so have this for future) it fixes it, well sort of. You might end up like me and have to recreated your vertical canvases again cause they seem to vanish after every one of their updates. Also I think you may be able to edit it under broadcast settings, I can’t exactly remember as i’m not in front of my PC rn but it definitely is headachey. I still can’t get why I can stream to TT now in landscape mode but can’t in vertical. I’ll change the layout to Vertical and the switch will be on, but never goes live. Both are merely choices.

The top is straight to PayPal while the other is "held" for withdrawal before being sent to your bank.

If both are enabled it's up to the user to choose which one but they can only select from what is enabled for your account.

Anyone familiar with missing FFZ/BTTV emotes in the chat overlays? I added a bunch of new emotes yesterday (in both FFZ and BTTV) and it seems as though only the BTTV emotes that I had set up a looong time ago seem to be showing up. Each platform is a different account on the backend, since you're logging in by connecting twitch/youtube/etc. The backend for the alerts is different too, Twitch and YouTube have different apis and different ways data is sent/provided.

For the Selive plugin to work, you need to have obs version 31, and you must also open obs in administrator mode. If you right-click on obs > properties > advanced settings, you can activate it so that with a double click it opens in administrator mode.

I am having trouble with my subscriber event not working properly. I have, repeatedly tried to insert a gif of my own in the images section, which works perfectly well for tips and raids. Instead the default twitch icon plays. My custom uploaded sound plays every time. I have deleted and remade the event, deleted cookies, which logged me out. So I logged out and back in. btw how can I control bitrate for each of my stream, my internet bandwidth is 1GBps, how to distribute the bandwidth to each stream? Hope there will be a settings to control bitrate for each canvas in the next update. I put 8000kbps for the streaming settings while im streaming to 4 platforms

In the audio mixer, if you have activated when putting the browser source that Obs monitors the audio, go to the 3 dots and at the source you have to activate monitoring and exit

My Twitch Chat dock is not working. It's not showing any messages and I also can not click into it to type a message or send an emoji. Multi Chat shows the messages but has no option to type (which I need sometimes). Also both OBS and SE Live I did clean install again but still not working.

hello, I'm having a few issues and I'm lost at how to fix them. First, I've been trying to have my chat up on screen so everyone from twitch and youtube can see what everyone is saying, the problem is that it is only showing my twitch not my youtube chat. I believe I have all of my accounts connected correctly but its just not working and I'm not sure why. Second when I go live my youtube doesn't seems to want to connect all the time and it just says "waiting for stream to start". The last error I'm having is that my youtube stream has come up with the error along the lines of "We have detected multiple streams using the same stream key" and I'm not sure if its because I set youtube as my main or what. I don't have any screenshots and have no idea how to test all this without actually going live. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

• If you are using the SE.Live multi streaming plugin, you must set the default stream in OBS to be anything but YouTube.

Yeah, youtube as primary isn't SE.Live's fault. OBS Studio already does 'special' streaming setup when Youtube is the primary so they get in each others way

Not with how the platforms are fed into OBS. I use SocialStream Ninja for this exact reason.

I use both and Twitch is my Primary, that's exactly how I fixed the same issue.

That's becuase it's fed into OBS... it's not going to an overlay

and then SE.Live plugin 'joins' them together. The only way I could see it working is if the 'dock' was technically and overlay item... but it isn't

I use SocialStream Ninja as it allows me to monitor the chats and throw them on the same screen.. works great once you get it up and running

You can make an overlay for each one and put both in the same scene, but that's technically not allowed by Twitch.

Ya, I've seen others with both in the same overlay and tried a few other things like chat.bot or whatever its called and that didnt work either.

I'm experiencing a recurring issue with SE.Live and OBS Studio.

Since updating to OBS 31.0.3, which SE.Live required, I’ve been facing a memory leak after approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of streaming. This gradually consumes all available memory and leads to a full OBS crash.

However, when I revert to OBS 30.0.2, the problem disappears entirely. This clearly suggests the issue is related to either the latest OBS version or the SE.Live integration with it.

Unfortunately, since the SE.Live update forced the switch to OBS 31.0.3, I can’t stay on the stable version that works for me without losing SE.Live features.

Could you please investigate this compatibility issue or advise on a workaround?
