On the topic of making them yourself. Widgets are just html, css and js. You can use the widget editor or the Elements API (currently in beta)

I've got a problem with creating the widgets for my alert box, for some reason the problem only persists in the "subscriber alert" portion, whenever I change the image in the settings, the same original video with the stars pops up instead of my custom image, I've used multiple different ones including one that worked for the follower alert, yet it is completely overruled by the original video. how can I fix this?

this isnt exactly about streamelements but it involves obs, so im trying to help my friend, he's using a Microsoft Modern Webcam w/ Windows 11 and whenever he tries to use it on an app its just a black screen, the cover is off and the light is on so we dont know what the problem could be. Just got one idea. Maybe the video isn't actually black but just to dark due to camera settings?
The location of a camera's settings is somewhat depend on the camera and sometimes hard to find.
You may be lucky tho and those settings could be in the windows settings. Just enter "Manage cameras" into the win search and you should find it

These widgets don't allow me to apply my font so I've to use the open editor. However, when I add the CSS code:

• Nothing happens in the Social Media Rotator (the basic fonts remain. They don't change).

What happens in the widget in the screenshot is that the icons are part of the custom font, that you are most likely overriding

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.

I'm still having lots of problems getting the stream elements bot to come to my channel on Youtube. I used to have NO PROBLEMS. Since January it is constantly a problem.

Has anyone had this problem with YT? The bot will randomly show up even after parting the bot and calling it back?
Does anyone know if it could have a problem with Streameleemnts live for OBS? I have everything updated but I wonder if this could be causing the problem.

I usually have 2-3 scheduled streams a week through Youtube. With that, I noticed that if I DO NOT schedule a stream the bot shows up. ALSO if I am on the last stream for the week it shows up.

There really are just 3 parts that can bottleneck you.

  Since you said quality wise, I assume it's about that blocky look. And by shit guides you mean those that just tell you to set the Bitrate higher? If so, instead of higher Bitrate, try to lower your streamed resolution and make sure you hardware encode for h265. It's a bit more taxing on your gpu because remuxing but should lower the pixel density therefore allowing more throughput in the limited bitrate

Nevertheless afaik application audio is in beta because some games are outputing audio in a weird unpredictable way. Some examples include valorant and cod voice chat. One way to have this feature without using application audio is to use virtual audio cable and correctly route the input and output devices.
You really should google "obs capture application audio". The guide on their website is nice and comprehendable.

I can't replicate this behavior with emulated events. About that changing size in response to text length, there is "Dynamic Font Size" under text settings. I doubt this will be useful for you tho because it doesn't account for height.
Personally I'd opt for a very simple custom widget. Much more control that way and very simple in your case.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I added an alert to a scene. I set OBS to manage audio and with that I get the sound on my recording but not on my headphones anymore. I set the track to monitor and output but still don't get it on my headphones. Monitoring on other tracks works as expected.

Excuse me if this is not the correct place, I'm new here.
I'm tryign to setup StreamElements after having streamed with StreamLabs for a few years and feeling completely scammed and cheated by the way they do things I thought I'd try StreamElements, I've heard alot of good stuff!

So I'm trying to set everything up, though regular OBS with the SE.Live plugin, I tried importing from SL but it failed on the Cloubot/Loyalty part.

Now in my StreamElements page/Dahsbord, I feel like I'm missing alot of menu options or headers, or things have changed drastically compared to what's shown in the docs.

I'm pretty sure it's just me who missed something, so I was hoping someone could give me some guidance!

I'm mostly Streaming to YouTube and would love to use the Loyalty System and Chatvbot for minigames and such.

What am I missing?

Guys I have another question, perhaps any of you know whats going on with my OBS (SE.LIVE) but basically it worked perfectly when I freshly installed it when I started streaming two months ago. However, these last couple of days Ive been fiddling with it and mistakingly installed a bad pluging (for websocket server settings even when I already had it) and I ruined everything. Basically I had to reinstall OBS and SE.LIVE afterwards. But now my menus and stuff look all clumped together when they did not before, and Streamelement menu won't work when trying to emulate events from OBS. Here's a picture of the menu all clumped together. So is the dropdowns and the bottom stats with temps and everything else.

Hi all. I'm trying to add a chat widget to my YT overlay (using the Overlay editor). I added it, and I can see it on the overlay. However, when I stream, I don't see the chat show up. The chat box is there, but no chat appears. If it matters, I'm using the "Connection" overlay super theme. I'm probably missing something simple... edit: I'm using vanilla OBS as the streaming software.

Some screenshots of what I did... as you can see the widget is there... but when I did a test stream on YT the chat text never appears in that widget.

ok... I found the reason - my test stream was "unlisted". I just started a "public" stream and chat shows up just fine. Hopefully this will help someone else: chat only shows up in public streams 🙂

Those. the list was 5000+, the next day at lunch 2100+.
There was a stream, again the list was 4800+, then the next day 2300+. And so very slowly but this leaderboard is getting bigger, but why is it cleaned by itself every day

Hi, I'm having trouble with raids! They just do not show up in my StreamElements activity feed anymore AT ALL. It's been 4 months since the last raid was actually captured by the activity feed even though I've been clearly raided since then. The alert itself previews just fine, it just never recognizes when I get raided. Any help is appreciated. ♥

It's super easy to do with the standard overlays. Just add the stream chat widget and put it where you want it on screen. What am I missing?

No, I have not found any fix. It's affected around 5 of the channels I personally manage. The tickets weren't helpful either, as I was told since I'm not the owner of the channel they won't help me, and getting content creators to do anything is a chore in and of itself.

my client has given me "full-access" permissions to her account. i'm attempting to view her available sponsorships. I can see all the available sponsorships on the dashboard filter/widget, but clicking a sponsorship takes me to a blank page. I can also see the "sponsorships" tab showing that there are 14 available (the tab disappears when she instead gives me "editor" permissions), but the tab is empty.

as her manager, i would like to manage her sponsorships.

While I don't disagree with you on the probability of them scamming, you still have no hard evidence. Try to look at the conversation objectively. There is no indication of a scam, just a conversation of some possible art commission.
