We've discussed this prior but the reality is that unfortunately people are not reading the emails that give them clear instructions, so changing the channel name to anything else will not really help in these cases. We're trying to see if we can have a bot post regularly about the correct way to inquire about Labs stuff but also want to prevent it to be too spamy for people just talking about the game.

SPECTATOR MODE:

If EA or DICE wonders how Delta Force keeps its players and has reached such high peaks, it's because of things like this, having spectator mode gives a lot of life to the game for a long time, and at the same time attracts more players and keeps them in, if BF6 adds these 2 functions, it will be unbeatable, but it also depends on us to demand it from the developers to have it, and not just a few demanding it.

Needs to be a channel dedicated to reporting leaked videos and such, similar to the Ticket Tool.

Because, as much as everyone enjoys leaks the team at DICE Etc need to focus on actually MAKING this game great, and even though players leave feedback on these leaks, they're not monitored or looked at in an official capacity.

Like say if JackFrags posted "leaked" gameplay under the direction of EA/DICE - They could monitor the comments more effectively, for actual useful information.

But as it stands these unscrupulous people who just post these leaks, who dont care about being banned from participation or future EA titles etc, because it basically makes them famous for 1 video..

Its just sad..
So can we have a channel to anonymously send leaked gameplay videos so they can be dealt with quicker?

I think the clan tags being displayed is a nice way around it, until they find a way to allow/approve clan recruitment posts/threads.

A good start would be having a 'forum' recruitment section; each group can post once, no discord URLs, just a recruitment advertisement - but I have a feeling that it'll be hard for this moderation staff/team to manage it.

Honestly, platoons (or clans) are a vital part of the Battlefield community. I understand the intention to keep the community more connected through the official Discord server, but forming your own team or group of friends is essential in Battlefield — especially for coordination and teamwork. Friendly competition between clans or teams adds a lot to the game experience.
We've tried organizing such events before and plan to continue doing so in the future. That’s why I believe the official Discord server should allow some form of recruiting feature — it would really help support the community spirit.

I was talking about the game and used the common place abbreviation for National Socialism - I wasnt being insultive or trying to offend anyone, the franchise literally has a game set in a time period/war that heavily revolves around that. Anyway im guessing the bot didnt like that word and I was timed out for 2 days.

I tried to privately message the members of the EA community team from this server that were green (available), the community manager ignored me, the second available person didnt accept messages from non friends (I tried adding but was ignored), and it would now appear that everyone else has permanently set themselves to yellow which doesnt seem very welcoming/open to message.

I couldn't find a way to communicate with discord mods through the discord server itself.

We had an appeal/ticket system back then, too. You were able to communicate directly with the team, figure out why the mute/warning took place, and either appeal or "take the L", as it were.

So I got many things to say about your whole moderation system and and how it contradicts the EA positive play charter

So first, why the vague reasoning for any infractions, the ea positive play charter seems clear, the reason should be clearly provided, as you want to change a behavior not just make the user question it

"If you receive a suspension or ban on your account, we’ll send you an email or you’ll see an in-game message explaining the reason for it. We take these measures to ensure our communities remain positive. If you believe that any action has been taken against your account or device by mistake, let us know.", This is clearly defined in the ea positive play charter that you are using, if you want to use it then follow all it's policy including clearing defining the reasons for all infractions

Second, communication between moderation team and users should be added back soon, if not all the mods and admins should be avaliable in dms to gladly speak to the user on any issue they have on the server including infractions. Users should be notified clearly on why they got muted, don't make them guess which goes against your ea positive play charter, which states under a learn more "If players violate our rules of conduct, we may place restrictions on their account and temporarily or permanently suspend access to some or all EA services. The intent of giving warnings and suspensions is to highlight disruptive behavior and give the player a chance to change their behavior. We will issue permanent account bans where the reported players’ actions are illegal or egregious or where they have a record of continual disruption.", so why vagueness overall. I ask for all infractions to have the message they sent that got them in trouble, simple and allows the user to know what is wrong

Third, your violating the ea positive play charter, by not allowing users to use any sort of curse word they like, with exemptions to slurs, but I read the policy, and it states excessive use of curse words, not one curse word, it's like someone extremely mad in-game not someone just using it once in a while, remember you want the policy, you must listen to the ea positive play charter policy

Fourth, scrap the entire appeal system, when you allow users to speak directly to the team, you can use it for allowing users appeal as well also learn why they got an infraction and yes it should be that simple, and not be similar to the bureaucratic nightmare of the DMV. I still remember the long line for transferring a vehicle title to my name. I should not need to give you my name, and email address just to attempt to appeal to a discord server, like the DMV.

Fifth, a minor problem, users should be allowed to report inappropriate content when muted, I don't get why that is not added, but I think that is my main problem with the server, and all of this is related to the discord, so thank you reading the wall of problems with the moderation style, for vagueness and the terrible appeal process.

I’ve been playing (Battlefield 6), and I really enjoy the large-scale battles. However, I’d love to see a few features added in future updates or games:
Gunships – It would be amazing to have heavy gunships (like the AC-130) with onboard cannons and support roles.
Tv Missiles – Introducing guided missile systems for both infantry and vehicles could make combat more tactical.
Naval Battles – Large-scale sea warfare, with controllable ships, submarines, and naval aircraft, would add a whole new dimension to the game.
These additions could take the Battlefield experience to the next level. Thanks for your hard work and for listening to the community!

Who thought it was a good idea to give helicopters practically infinite flares, recharging every 20–30 seconds?

I get 2, maybe 3 missiles. The helicopter? It has permanent protection against every single one. I shoot — it drops a flare, flies away, and comes back 30 seconds later like nothing happened. Rinse and repeat.
This isn’t combat — it’s a joke.

What are infantry-based AA players supposed to do against that? NOTHING. You just stand there like a target, getting shredded from above with zero counterplay.

You call this balance? Why even bother adding AA launchers to the game if they’re completely useless? Where’s the logic? Where’s the game design?

Fix this broken mechanic with the never-ending flares. Give players a real chance to fight back.

🔧 Change how flares work:

Make them limited — 5 to 10 max per life.

Once they’re gone — you're vulnerable, like it should be.

And hey — why not add manual reloads when you land to resupply? That would actually make sense.

This message is meant to shine light on a problem of this server, that affects many members, both old and new, active and inactive

The moderation system of this server has some serious flaws, that could literally impact everyone on this server. I have started being active for about a month now on this server, and I noticed these problems with many people, including myself. I have been warned and muted twice for just “Harassment”. No explanation and out of the blue. I am writing this message to point out the problems of the moderation system, as well as suggest some solutions, that would greatly improve the experience of this server for us the members.

Problems:

1) Warnings are vague, uninformative and do not highlight what the member did wrong.

“Harassment” is the leading cause of mutes/warns or even bans on this server. While other categories can highlight the faults of the members more clearly, warnings issued with “Harassment” are too general, while also missing clear context and information on what the member did, that breaks the rules. Even the most mild teasing, and use of profanity without necessarily being directed at someone to offend, can be flagged as “Harassment”, and then the message the member sent that caused the warning is not highlighted.
Main point: How can we improve our behaviour on this server, when we don’t even know how we “harassed” someone, especially when the “harassment” was not intended, or received by other members as an insult directed to them?

2) Severe lack of communication with moderation, current appeal system is unreliable

Following up my first point, the bot that DMs the members about the warning, doesn’t provide context and reason for the said warning (Especially Harassment), and instead provides a link to appeal directly to EAs customer support. 5 days ago, I got muted in this server for “Harassment” (No clue on how I offended anybody) and sent an email to EA customer support, for an appeal to this mute. I haven’t heard from them since.
Main point: There is no way to directly talk to moderators of this server, other than DMing them, which is inefficient and gets often ignored. Thats what the majority of members have to do

Solutions to these problems

1) Ditch EA Moderator completely, Use Dyno and provide context and reason of warning/mute

EA moderator is proven to be unreliable for proper moderation and appealing penalties from this server. Some members reportedly are getting warnings issued from Dyno, with some context. Thats a good step in the right direction, now please apply this to every member of this server.

2) Issue warnings as soon as possible

If a warning, especially for harassment, is issued the moment the infraction happens, members could know what they said that breaks the rules, and are more likely to abide by them. Also, please refrain from relying on AI to issue warnings, they can happen anytime, and for the most absurd reasons

3) Use Ticket Tool/ModMail

Ticket tool is the most direct and easy way for members to contact server staff for any topic. It is safe, reliable, and easy to setup. Many major servers have implemented some sort of ModMail/Ticket Tool, and it significantly improved communication and user experience.

4) Try to be more lenient on teasing

Most “harassment” on this server that gets flagged is not intentional or severe enough for the members to know that they offended somebody, especially when the receiver himself doesn’t consider this teasing “harassment”.

I tried to point out the issues of this moderation system, based off my experience and other people sharing similar problems. I really hope you can take my points into consideration, and improve the user experience for all of us.

Playing all games since 1942. Love all of them except 2042. The only gripe I have with 6 is the small maps and the fact that air vehicles have no presence. I know bigger maps will come, so that is good and probably a non issue with release. BUT the big problem is with airal vehicles. Engineers carrying both air to ground and air to air makes flying vehicles way, way weaker than any bf ever made. I played EA, full open beta. Never once died to air. Why? Cause they die the instant they lift off. Good luck with the release maps that features firestorm or other real Battlefield large maps. Engineers needs to carry one or the other, not both. Easy fix. Cheap to fix. As it is, its not "back to the roots". As it is now, its even worse than 2042 in regards to flying lol

Discord support is giving me generic advice to sort out an annoying issue where the beta quest isn’t showing up at all when I meet ALL requirements and I found out that it’s an eligibility flag issue on their end? I’ve exhausted all possible measures and I don’t know what else to do this is really annoying for such a trivial bloody quest and reward. If anyone can help me with their back end it would be greatly appreciated. I’m in a valid region and there’s no issue with discord tracking my game time. It’s just that discord thinks that I’m not eligible when I am. The cause is most likely due to EA having the old discord naming system version of my discord account and the quest launched before I could update it accordingly. This obviously lead to a false server handshake between discord and EA. Can someone manually toggle my eligibility on my account it can’t be fixed locally. Thanks.

It looks like you got hit with the Auto Mod because of the way you posted the links. Discord describes it as a compromised account action. It's when you embed links in your wording with [], etc. the formatting code, basically. It catches a lot of spam accounts. I believe this is required to be a community server by Discord, so it's not something we can turn off, even if we wanted to (which we obviously don't, spamming is a big issue). As was suggested a few times in here, we will need something that allows to appeal these strikes as they are auto moderated and not part of the moderation team actions.

We can but we're not actively monitoring every mute the Auto Mod does and verify if it's a user or a comp account. So if you get hit with a Auto Mod strike you will need a way to submit a ticket or an appeal not via the EA website.

Yes, the EA Moderation bot will give you some info, including the ID you can use to appeal. That's not part of the Auto Mod moderation, so we will have to find a solution to include these.

Maps and modes

• While the detail to the current maps feels really nice, It is disappointing and surprising, that there is no dynamic weather. I'm not speaking about levolution or crazy weather - I'm talking about some rain, daytime-cycle (and maybe evening too), fog, more windy weather. Simple stuff like that. It really adds to replay-ability, different gameplay approaches, atmosphere etc.
• Some objective points have too many points of entry. Take point ''C'' in Cairo for example. You have people coming from 4+ different directions, and its surrounded by buildings where people are hiding in too. It makes that point a bit too much of a cluster-f***.
• I know the beta is specifically focused on the small maps, but even looking at the launch map pool - I feel a bit worried about there not being enough all-out warfare maps, with both an attack + scout heli, a jet, tank, LAV, transport etc. Please give us enough of those big maps as that's where BF should really shine and exclude itself from other games. Keep the detail and love of the small maps for the big maps, but scale it up.
• Rush needs some serious work, I had quite some fun playing it - but the objective placements, spawn points, balance and scale really need more work and variation. Initially I hated the idea of 12v12, but I can see how it can work well on the smaller scaled maps. However, please just make the player count and rush-specific map size, scale with the map. For example: on a big map, increase the rush-specific playable area (as in don't scale it down AS much from conquest) and increase the player count accordingly (f.e 24v24)
• More (classic) modes please! Modes like capture the flag used to be soooo much fun. Please considering looking into modes like these from other BF games and bring them back to us <3. Having more variety in modes (of course they have to be thought through properly) will also help with long-term fun of the game.

Vehicles

• Attack heli's need improved maneuverability/speed (one example: allow for more aggressive diving: the weight/momentum of the heli make it impossible to ascend in time again when doing an aggressive dive). This is besides the issue of almost everyone running stingers (which I think they said will be somewhat fixed due to the RPG/stinger combo being removed)
• Jet cannon does too much damage to other air(!) vehicles specifically (against infantry it seems pretty weak). One burst and the enemy jet or heli is gone.
• The attack heli repair ability doesn't always work, using it when it's ready, often just keeps it ready without using it (even when low vehicle health).
• Jet bombs aim crosshair/aim precision could be improved. After a good amount of practice, it's somewhat okay, but it still feels pretty clunky and inaccurate. And it's not like your average jet session will get you to the top-section of the scoreboard anyways.
• Jet ATG-missile lock on feels clunky when there are multiple vehicles. It doesn't seem to lock on to the middle of your crosshair/aim/camera. It also sometimes randomly switches to another nearby vehicle right before a full lock-on.
• Tank's/LAV's need a decent movement speed increase, currently they're really slow, splash damage should also be a little bit higher than it currently is.
• Missiles (especially those shot by stingers) are basically impossible to spot from an air-vehicle (most of the time) I keep looking for smoke trails of the missile to know where about I got shot from, but 99% of the time it's just not possible to see. This makes it very frustrating when someone is stinger-spamming you and you can't even try to track them down and fight them, or try avoid them.

Explosives (RPG, C4, frags)

• These hardly deal any splash damage at all (especially C4 and frags). C4 should be look into the most, as it currently feels very off - often it seems like it does close to ZERO splash damage to both vehicles and infantry (mostly noticed it with infantry though). Frags feel very weak and underwhelming too. Overall, this section could definitely use some buffing, tweaking and extra attention. RPG's specifically have too fast of a projectile speed, this needs a bit of a reduction.

Gunplay and attachments

• Besides the clear need for balancing/tweaking between weapons - overall TTK and gunplay feels great and responsive, I hope that stays.
• TTD seems a bit off at times, but nothing extreme nor constant.
• Attachment system seems really nice so far, but PLEASE add sight reticle options + customization!
• Missiles (especially those shot by stingers) are basically impossible to spot (most of the time) I keep looking for smoke trails of the missile to know where about I got shot from, but 99% of the time it's just not possible to see. This makes it very frustrating when f.e someone is stinger-spamming you and you can't even try to fight them.

Class-system

• I went in open-minded about the open/closed classes. But it turns out, that closed classes just feels so much more balanced and gives a lot more identity to class-specific gameplay. It also makes you more incentivized to actually play with different types of weapons, as well as try out other classes. On top of that, it will also allow for way easier balancing and personalization of classes. And not to forget, it will also help a bit with there not being one or two meta weapons which most people will eventually end up using.
• Auto-spotting needs to go. People are constantly spotted, which significantly impacts gameplay. Visibility needs to be somewhat increased, but auto-spotting isn't the answer.

**Movement
**I love the movement in general, feels amazing - my only issue is the vaulting is clunky, some walls/fences look like they should be vault-able but aren't & leaning/mounting is also clunky and could use some work.

Feedback: Voice Chat – In-World Mode Issues

First off, the In-World setting is by far the best voice chat experience I’ve ever had in Battlefield. The positional audio and reverb make squad comms feel immersive and natural—amazing work. That said, there are some major issues holding it back from being a game-changer.

Volume Boost Bug (Death Screen & 3rd Person View)
When a player dies and is on the death screen, the voice chat volume of their party members spikes—easily feels like a 200% gain compared to normal gameplay. The same issue occurs when going into 3rd person view in vehicles. This creates a very jarring and uncomfortable audio experience, especially since voices are perfectly balanced during the rest of gameplay. This bug is driving people in my squad to default back to Discord despite preferring the in-game system.

Squad vs. Party Channel Limitation
The In-World feature currently only works in the PARTY channel, not in the SQUAD channel. This really limits its usefulness. Squad comms should absolutely benefit from the same positional audio immersion.

Proximity Chat Request
This system feels like the perfect foundation for proximity chat. Please allow team-wide proximity comms through the In-World system. If it’s on by default (with an opt-out option), it could massively improve communication and build the Battlefield community vibe that the series is known for.

Default Setting Recommendation
Please consider making In-World the default voice chat mode for all players. It’s an innovative feature that really shines once people experience it, and it deserves to be the baseline experience.

TLDR:
Fix the death screen and vehicle volume boost bug.
Enable In-World for both PARTY and SQUAD channels.
Add proximity chat for the whole team with it enabled by default.
Make In-World the default chat mode.

This feature is already a huge step forward. Just a few fixes and additions could make it one of Battlefield’s defining innovations.

Well, anyway, please... bring back the sniper from BF1 with demage per distance. This sniper non-demage system is not good, but it's hard a lot to kill and easy a lot to die. Sniper should be the most strategic and deadly class, but isn't like this. The reflex from scope is like a car lights and we are spotted automatically, at least the demage should be 100% in any part of the soldier body.

Another thing... if this game it's take place in 2027y, well... now we have scopes with no reflection glasses.

I beg you, please. when selecting a region, make it so there’s a dedicated “Looking for Game” chat for each region. For example, when I joined the server, I picked Oceania since I’m from Australia, but I still have to search through the general PC LFG chat to find someone asking to team up in Australia/Oceania because everyone’s just grouped together. This still needs attention, please. From what I’ve heard, BF6 is confirmed to launch without the platoon feature. While I was hoping to see it return, I think that’s acceptable for now.
What’s more important is keeping a section on Discord where players can promote their smaller communities and clans. Battlefield has always been at its best when you’re playing with friends on a regular basis or people you actually know them. It’s not like Call of Duty, where you just join a match, run, and gun.

Please don’t push the Battlefield community too far toward a purely casual direction. We have a very dedicated player base, and we should have the same resources as before to build clans, smaller communities, and groups of friends to play with.
If the recruiting section isn’t coming back to the website, then at least bring it back to Discord—it’s been a long time, and it really wouldn’t be a big deal to add.

We used to have, since EA take over this server which previously was managed independently, they've removed the channel.

They've worked so much spent hundred millions on new game, marketing etc.. but apparently no platoons feature in next Battlefield 6 at least at launch it won't have, like it wasn't enough they've removed the recruitment thread from EA forums website and the recruitment channel from this Discord which proves they don't care/bother about it anymore and their goal is now just about casual, solo players... 🫤

Me and several others brought the recruitment channel topic here so many times but I haven't witnessed anyone from team saying anything on it.

However, it's your server and game, and in the end you will do what you want to do. The point of my suggestion is to get the feedback from the very people you plan to sell your game to.
If the poll is heavily slanted towards sticking with how it's always been (class restricted weapon selection) or vice versa, I would hope that EA/Dice would factor this into their thought process for current and future installments.

Discord is a small sub-group of players. We have way more data from the Open Beta, ongoing discussions on reddit, social, and other platforms like the EA forums. One poll on Discord doesn't really add anything to that amount of data.

I'm getting constant friend requests from bots that join this specific discord. About 2-3 per day, that all are obviously trying to scam me for random shit.

Assuming I'm not the only one, could you up the requirements levels to join this server ? Or force verified members, which is also an option in the community settings. It is the only server I have this problem with and I'm obviously on many large community servers. People who are genuinenly on discord are verified, everyone has a phone and the vast majority of people have had discord for more than 10 days (or whatever the number is). It's not so niche anymore that you would lose a big chunk of the community by enabling the maximum restriction.

It's kinda forcing a lot of people to turn off friend requests and private messages, or leave this server (which I'm not super happy to do in both cases)

Even when we ran the server, we weren't able to really handle these bots unless they were reported multiple times, and then we yeeted them.

Might I suggest adding a workflow item for community team members to go through the "Members" section and pre-emptively remove people with flags such as unusual account activity and unusual DM activity? Discord doesn't automate this, which is a shame, but if you guys aren't removing those people daily then people like me get messaged by spammers trying to sell art commissions and other nonsense.

I don't think that's a viable approach. You can always block DMs from servers if you feel you're getting many of them on here. Additionally, you can report those accounts to Discord itself. With Battlefield 6 launching on Friday, if the activity is anywhere near the Beta levels, we would need a full team to "vet" each member joining the server.

Just because you dont like the advice given doesnt mean you can claim you're being harassed.

You cant strong arm another discord server to do something about BFEE just because people are getting "banned" for reaction spamming.

Gans (and several other members of this discord server, myself included) specifically stated that BFEE is more equipped for easter egg related things.

How another community management team handles their discord server is on them. Has zero bearing here.

So in the past, we (read: legacy staff) never really handled DMs or anything like that. There are tools in Discord that admins can utilize to force validity, for a lack of a better term, of an account.

Whether or not this discord server still employs those methods now that EA took over, I don't know and can't answer that.

I know we did handle raids and such pretty frequently with the bots we had, but as for DMs, thats always been a "send a report to Discord" thing.

I, too, run a few large Discord servers so I know what tooling is available. That's why I'm suggesting proactively removing users with unusual account/DM activity flags on them. Which is built-in to Discord and doesn't require anything other than looking at the Members tab on the server. Yes, it's extra work but, in my opinion, it's work that's well worth doing if it means preventing the people who use the server from being spammed without them having to close down their DMs.

It'd be neat if these were consolidated, or a stub added in #info pointing to #how-to-report-and-appeal for issues regarding server users and content.

A place to promote and discuss ones' own created Portal experiences would be neat. Perhaps a**#portal-experiences** forum/gallery channel under the Battlefield 6 or Community Creations categories.

This would enable creators to make a dedicated thread for each of their experiences. These could be restricted to messages from the creator for updates - or if community discussion is included it may consolidate discussion regarding specific experiences into a more constructive location, hopefully mopping up some of that subject matter in general channels. A "home for portal experiences" outside of the game. An easy way to browse experiences - and their codes - and discuss them with their creators (if they have created a thread).

It seems like #portal might presently be intended to encompass both user and creator discussion? Admittedly, it's not a channel joined by default and creators are more likely to seek it out as it stands, but the addition of a forum-style channel dedicated to discrete and community-created experiences could pull some of the user discussion out of the #portal channel if it should become bogged down.

The chat moderation system here is broken. I've been falsely/unreasonably timed out 3 times in the past 2 weeks during normal conversation with other members.
I got falsely timed out and appealed it through EA Help (after 3 tickets getting through AI responses that didn't even read the ticket. One of them just gave me a link to submit a ticket, like what?) with the response "Your concern led to a full investigation of your account. After reviewing your case, we found your concerns valid and justified. We will make sure to prevent this in the future." and had the time out removed.
A few hours later, I randomly received a time out again despite not sending a single message since then nor receiving an alert from the bot.
And then yesterday an immediate 24 hour timeout from the auto mod for the message "Deploy beacon is crazy good on Assault for Breakthrough/Rush" but I mistyped "good" with an N at the end. That is quite unreasonable to be immediately timing out for a 1 letter typo and I've never seen a discord server have the auto mod have that much power, especially while the human mods are hidden and uncontactable, if they even exist.

Can mods -admins check " Auto Mod" behavior -filters ? Friend of mine just got timed out today without any offensive world in his reply. He sent me the screenshot , it's insane getting 24 hrs time out for nothing , no sarcasm - no anger - no slurs- no politics- nothing at all in his reply other than mentioning World of Warcraft and PVE progress comparison.

24-hour auto mod usually means they used a flagged word or they already had prior penalties on the account. We're in a pretty good state with the auto mod at this stage, but will open a ticket system specifically for these cases to verify. We want to make sure people use the proper appeal from #how-to-report-and-appeal to have actions taken by the mod team, so the process is a bit longer than anticipated.

I have a one minute slowmode, and it's pretty hard to have a decent conversation with people if you can only reply to one message p/m.

Also, is there a restriction on youtube links? I posted a game bug, and got a 24 hour time out, I was told to message a non existant bot in the server for assitance, which isn't easy to do and it's not even here, and there is no active mod list.

I've got 24hrs time out too just for mentioning WoW lol. It could be greatest Meme in history if I had published the msg . I think Mod filter sometimes mistakenly flag words ( it could do with words in links too). Very rare ,but it happens. It did happen to me anyway. I do hope , it does not add as record because had been unjustly punished in first place. Discord EA appeal process is also never returned me with email. Just a leaves bad taste when you are completely innocent.
