Not if you actually farm. It's always the first one I get to 10. You can go the easy money route and spend all your time fishing, but you'll pay for it by being constantly poor because you didn't invest time into farming, where the real money is at.

Ancient fruit. But you won't have enough to start off the whole thing. So start with a replantable crop, like blueberries or cranberries, and plant what few ancient fruit you have.
Then, over time, run the AF through a seedmaker and slowly replace the other crops with AF. It takes about 3 months.

The best one is to get a treasure chest from a treasure chest. The kind that sell for 5000 gold. You get one of those before the first egg festival, and you are set. I did it once on day 9, and was so jazzed.

I started with quality sprinklers. Better than nothing. And you want to prioritize putting sprinklers in the greenhouse over putting them on the farm, because rain days outside can give you a break from watering. You don't get rain inside.

Experience. Everyone makes "mistakes" on their first save or two. And by "mistakes", I don't mean you do anything wrong, just that you've done things you wish later you had done differently.
My first save was a disaster. My second was only pretty good. My third save was a success and is now on year 13.

What I like to do is make a little enclosed area for them to go outside, and put some grass starter in there -- then I can just leave the coop door open all day and they can wander around and eat grass outside. In the winter, though, you need the max coop upgrade like Macu was saying.
