You're getting the idea, yes. Look for crops with the highest absolute sale value, fruits are also better because they have a bigger multiplier (kegged vegetables are only x2.4 whereas fruits are x3. Pkin still worth it, maybe)

But you can donate to the bundles by visiting the Community Center with the right items in your bag And having the needed bundles available.

I’m assuming you’re using standard farm (recommended for beginners). Before you get sprinklers, it’s a good idea to plant your crops by the little like pond to the bottom left of your house. It saves the time for walking back and forth until your stuff can be watered ahead of time.

If you’re using PC, I find the keyboard control for fishing, the C key, to be easier than the mouse

Keep an eye on how long a crop takes to harvest. There’s only 28 days a season and anything that doesn’t finish before the season dies

Work on getting chest built and iridium rod. Plant minimum one of every crop for shipping, save ones I know are needed for later story missions (year 1 winter, year 2, doesn't matter), and make sure I have money for books, backpack, seeds, and barn and coop early as possible
