the goal of trip 1 is always to get at least a (imo)

here's the prep i'd do - all trades at the ||desert trader
exchange rubies for spicy eel
exchange diamonds for triple shot espresso
exchange jades for stairs (available only on sunday)
exchange quartz for bombs (5 quartz 1 bomb) + craft bombs if needed
exchange omnigeodes for desert warp totems (3 omnis 1 totem)

healing - salads/cheese/purple mushrooms/cacti/squash/carrots (whatever i have on hand basically)

warp there bright and early on a max luck day so i have max amount of time, ladder, bomb stuff - esp. in trip 1 when i don't have an amazing weapon i don't tend to seek out combat, but get as deep as possible to bomb more iridium nodes to maximize my chances of getting
and more importantly, eat when ur health hits half (not when it gets low)

if u want a better weapon, u can reset the earlier floors and kill 80 bugs to get an insecthead, it's a good early game weapon

reset just means repeating the floors over and over again
e.g. floor 15 -> then floor 25 (using the elevator) -> then floor 0 again (to "reset" the elevator) -> floor 15 again, repeat

once you have killed 80 bugs, your bottom left there'll be a notification that says "monster slayer goal achieved! blabla", you can go to the adventurer's guild and talk to the guy in the chair to pick up your weapon
to check your progress of various monster slayer goals, u can click the board inside the adventurer's guild to see

for my own playthroughs, i make basic sprinklers and i'd prioritize pickaxe and axe upgrade, then if there's a rain and spare money i'll go upgrade watering can just as a nice side thing, saves time and energy

you cannot move a chest from outside a shed into a shed. If the chest is already in the shed, you can hold to push it, or hit it with a pickaxe twice to push them towards a direction. And you can also hold a big chest or another chest variants on your hand and right click on a chest to replace them
