For copper, people usually just do floor 20.
Floor 40 for iron since you can see the whole floor, and 80 for Gold for the same reason

80 will generally get you the fire quartz you need to smelt for refined quartz too, though it’s often a bit slower than you’re getting the other iron/gold required for quality sprinklers
