friendship decays a tiny bit if you don't interact with people, but only a tiny bit. The only thing that's different is with your wife/husband; they don't freeze at max hearts and lose more than others when you ignore them for a day

For Chests Anywhere, you're gonna have to adjust it to be restricted to only be within the area you're in, otherwise you can access chests from anywhere in the game.

From my incredibly basic understanding, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is far more flexible in decorating your lands and seems a more grindy.
While Stardew Valley is cheaper, has mechanics outside of just farming and you can actually date villagers (very nice).

Acnh is more about your island and the villager interactions are much more limited. Acnh is far more focused on customization, with villagers being more like talkative decoration because there's so many of them that you kinda just pick shallowly based on looks and basic personality. Stardew valley I would say has more content overall and definitely more story to experience, you'll also probably wanna keep your hands on a wiki because there's just so much. Acnh is a little chiller and for a more casual audience imo, both can be pretty grindy but they're cozy games so that everyday routine is kind of the point. both games are awesome and have great communities imo, so if it's purely a battle of price for you then go ahead and get Stardew. Besides, over in the animal crossing community we're praying for a new game on switch 2, so you can probably wait a year or two and join us when there's a new game 🫶

I have fixed my performance issue with the game. I went into task manager and set the game from normal to high priority. That fixed the freeze frame but it was still having a 5fps dip at the same internal that the freeze frames were occuring at.

Then I thought to myself that if I I go to set affinity and not allow the came to use the first core maybe it will fix my issue. Sure enough when I unchecked cpu 0, the game moved to running on the second core and now the game runs 100% smooth and locked at 61 fps.

This is on the forums. Try it i guess

I really prefer the community center. It encourages exploration and growing different crop types instead of whatevers the most profitable
