There's no normal pace. There's no end to the game. A lot of people in these chats are hardcore players who have hundreds of hours so how the strategies and what's coming. It's totally normal to finish the CC in year 3 or 4, and get to the bottom of the mines in winter Y1 or later

Plant a cheap seed on day 28 like parsnip seeds -> season changes -> plant dies -> dead plants don't let the soil until and sprinklers can water the soil overnight
