Bought Stardew Valley and booted up the game, only to get stumped trying to decide the farm layout. I want to experience everything that the game has to offer, but I do not want to spend a ridiculous amount of time(120+ hours) on it. I've narrowed my choices down to Standard, Forest and Meadowlands. I see that forest farm has less space but is it too little? Meadowlands farm seems good but I see people complaining that there aren't much contiguous farmable area. Any advice/suggestions?

||meadowlands|| needs spoilers as it is 1.6 content! forest farm does have less tillable tiles, but it has 8 stumps that will regenerate daily (which is free hardwood), and forage will be able to spawn there
standard has a lot of tillable space, which will be good if you want lots of space to plant crops, decorate, etc.
||meadowlands also has a decent amount of tillable space, but it is more oriented towards animals so if you like rearing animals you would probably like this||

I'm asking, because if you're not and only have the two harvests per season, the second and final harvest is on the next to last day of Spring. You can plant on day 2 and still get the same two harvests.
If you're using DRS to get three harvests, you do need to plant it all on day 1 to get all three harvests.

Too late now, but you can do the following (Spoilers so I don't ruin it for other new farms) || Hoe your dirt and set up sprinklers the day or two before the previous season ends, so Winter 27/28 for example. Then plant a garbage crop you don't mind dying. The crop will die and stay behind, so the soil will stay tilled and watered (if sprinklers) on season change ||

|| Then all you need to do is use the scythe to cut the dead plants (Very quick) and you're ready to plant, all the hoe and water work is done ||

50-79 for Iron (If you want bones too, do 70-79), 80+ is gold, the deeper you go the better

I got achievement for 10 fishes (second most common) before achievement for 15000g (most common) what am I missing? I never even had more than 2000g, I catch fishes, water the few crops I have etc.

I mostly get money from fishing

and almost never sell my stone and wood I want to store it since I saw many trades demanding a lot of them

Money early game is fairly "I get the money, I spend the money" for a while - Eventually you start making more money (Especially once fall starts) as you get higher quality fish, upgrade your tools, and scale up crops / processing
