Yeah fertilizer needs to be placed on a tile either before the crop is planted or on the same day it’s planted

Though tbf that's a grown plant already. It may still be another matter to put them on the same day the seed went in.
It sounds odd that it would even let you put ||quality|| down weeks into a plant growing and expect it to do anything, realistically speaking..

You can obtain a seed maker later on but it's better for regrowable crops, you should buy more seeds for single harvest crops
