If you plan to spend a lot of time fishing for money early game, the fiberglass rod is one of the best things to spend money on.

Since it allows you to use Bait, which effectively doubles the amount of fish you'll catch during a day.

If you don't get it in the first go round, they only take 4 days so you've got loads of time

If you don't have a growth modifier (speed gro, farming profession) you can only get 2 harvests out of them even if you plant the same day, so its not a huge rush

planting them the next day doesn't change anything in that case

fish ponds aren't really a reliable source of anything fwiw. you need to get the population to at least 9 before you'll get either of those from it and the chances of getting those items is less than 2% daily

I never just run straight into a room with || 4 skulls and deal with all of them at once ||
