So here is what to do, after planting the parsnips, forage, greet townspeople,chop down trees, etc, when you are done, put the foraged things like horseradishes, dandelions,daffodils , leeks, in the big chest to sell them, do that everyday until the parsnips grow, then after they are done growing, sell them, get potatoes and more parsnips, but don’t waste all your money on them, only buy a few, them after you plant those, forage more and sell it every day until the egg hunt comes around (to check when the egg hunt happens check the calendar everyday) at the egg hunt a dude at a stand will sell strawberries, only buy those, buy as much as you can, do the egg hunt if you want, go home to sleep, basically do all that again (except the egg hunt part) best ways to get money early is to fish, forage, farm, press f to see all your tasks, do help wanted board (thing with ! Over it) to get other moneys

Early on, it is generally better to buy stuff that makes you more money down the line, since it will get you to your other goals faster! The sole exception in this case is if you are somehow already ready to marry somebody, since you do need the house upgrade for that.
