can anyone help with a visual issue with a portrait mod using portraiture. its the portrait in the wrong outfit than the sprite.

I want to thank you both for being patience with me! i finally have the dirpy chicken! i felt very defeated earlier and was intimidated by the new words and englihs due to my low proficiency but you both guided me despite me being sooo slow!

The Natural Aquarium Project looks like it's got a bug that you'll need to report. One or more sprites aren't coded correctly. And the Pearly Shells Shipping Bin is also coded incorrectly - the size of the retextured sprite is larger than the original, which is not allowed.

i tried to search but i do not have duplicates. maybe is it because there is already portraits file in the expansion file? maybe it does not allow me to have two different portraits file

Okay I figured things out, I was dumb and forgot I'd moved my mods to a temporary folder to play vanilla with friends and forgot to move them back
Fixed many of the errors! Just need to update, I know.

By the way - the Ridgeside issue is that the "Ridgeside Village" folder, which contains the SMAPI component, didn't update the manifest to 2.5.9. You can either ignore the error or manually edit the manifest
Did you try restarting Steam? This is specifically a Steam error - it's saying you're not logged into Steam.

As far as I know, Hybrid Crop Engine hasn't been updated for 1.6, nor have the mods that are dependent on it
Yeah, I was trying to update it myself. At first the seeds weren't even showing up in the shop, after following the "Migrate Stardew Valley Mods" page on the wiki I was able to get them to show up but they were errored. I suppose I just need to accept that I need to wait

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

Honestly you'll just have to wait for an update or find alternatives
trying to download Downtown Zuzu, but the BusLocations mod that's required is under moderation review, and then the Custom NPC Fixes mod is apparently not needed anymore, but still shows as required. I did read a comment where Bus Locations isn't technically required but the only way to get there would be train or sewer and someone else said that in not having the Bus Locations, they were afraid of not being able to access the desert... So I'm confused on what I'm doing D:

not having bus locations shouldnt impact the ability to go to the desert- not having bus locations just means no added bus locations, i believe, if that's what the issue is?
The UI mod could be the reason – I also experienced some glitches with Gwen's textures cuz of the UI mod I'm using. Just delete the UI mod from the mods folder and see if it helps
^ ah makes sense, i also saw one of the nexus comments about it saying that the NPC Fixes mod is needed and it said: "Edit the manifest if you need to remove a dependency." but i'm ngl i don't know how to go about doing that without messing everything up lolol

Magic mod is not being updated, but the source code is available for anyone who'd want to work on it themselves.
It's either use something else or it won't work. The other issue with vortex is it does not delete the folder, install new one when updating mods. It just overwrites them which ends up leaving old files mixed in

hello! i asked for help on this before, but i still haven't found a solution to this issue.
im having some issues with my farmhouse. before the 1.6 update i was using 2 mods that affected my farmhouse, one for the interior and one for the exterior. after i updated my mods for the farmhouse, my farmhouse exterior is showing as the smallest farmhouse exterior despite it being fully upgraded, i dont know why that is. I've tried updating all my mods including ones used for the farmhouse and removing any mods that may be causing issues but I can't figure out why my house is still being displayed incorrectly. Here's my log, i'd really appreciate the help. thanks! :D

i did the verify integrity thing!
so. ive come back once more to see if i can figure out the issue i'm having with a pair of mods.
the first one is Farm Extended, which I don't see any error messages from, but won't show in my custom farm layout menu. I've done what the 1.6 fix instructions told me to do to get it to work, so i'm rather confused
second is the custom greenhouse mod, which I am getting an error message from. heres what it says

FromFile which matches non-existent file 'assets\Greenhouse.tbin' this means that the mod either doesn't have that file in that location or that the access to the file is denied. usually gets fixed by deleting and reinstalling the mod, unless the mod is just broken

That's actually pretty normal, last I checked
the 1.6 fix is an incomplete content patcher content pack with with a Load that tries to replace the greenhouse, but it can't because the assets/Greenhouse.tbin file doesn't exist in it. the original greenhouse file is from 2019 so i feel like there's a good chance that it's too outdated to work correctly, but if you want to make it work, i guess you could move the assets folder from the original mod to the 1.6 fix version to let it load (and delete the original version). i don't know how the fix was supposed to work though
my smapi is telling me "The game failed to launch: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Graphics.NoSuitableGraphicsDeviceException: Failed to create graphics device!"

Implemented in version 1.5.5, MonoGame is the latest framework that Stardew uses, and was implemented to solve problems such as Memory limits and audio issues. Unfortunately, MonoGame has a bug which affects random computers, not allowing them to launch Stardew. This bugs randomly targets computers, regardless of your operating system or hardware and is out of ConcernedApe's control. There is currently no known fix. See !legacy or !legacymodding for how to get your game to work.
There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.
On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.
On GOG: From the game's page, click the settings icon > Manage installation > Configure... > then "compatibility" under the Beta channels dropdown.

now having an issue with getting all the required things for downtown zuzu- custom NPC fixes is a mod that is req for walk to the desert redux which is in turn required for DZ, but custom npc fixes is currently broken/incompatible so it won't let me use any of the walk to the desert mods w/o custom npc fixes,,,, D:
Walk to the Desert Redux is optional for Downtown Zuzu. It's only for if you want to want to walk downwards from the freeway interchange.
Having an error with installing smapi
There was some red text while loading SMAPI. I'm not sure if it's a problem or what it is, because it didn't show up again when I reloaded. I'm going to update SMAPI and the one mod it tells me to, but I just wanted to double check that everything is okay.

I haven't used it myself, so I'm not sure; but if you want to use a mod manager, it's definitely the one to use over something like Vortex

Anybody here use Better Chests? I just started using it since the other Carry Chest mod is no longer functional; however, I only want the Carry Chest feature, and the ability to craft from chests nearby the player. However, opening the crafting menu near a chest causes me to draw from all chests, and not the chest next to me. I'm in the caves for example, and it is allowing me to craft with objects with the chests on my farm, which I don't want. Anybody know how to turn it off? I'm trying many different configurations.

Hey everyone, just got as quick question regarding the stardew valley planner (I'm not sure if you guys can anser this but here we go anyway). So i was playing around with it and i made this really nice farm. Side note: I Imported my current save and changed some things around. After changing it around, i've decided i really like it and was wondering if i could make it my main farm. So like, what i made in the planner i can put into my save file to have a cool farm. I'm out of ideas. Updated .net framework, clean installs of SMAPI and only have NPC map locations added, tried latest version of newtonsoft.json dll. No dice.
I don't even know if the newtonsoft error is just a red herring and there's some other issue. Do we know if the error is what's causing SMAPI to not load the mod?
Compile time it works fine, but run time it throws the newtonsoft error and the mod won't load

the recolour you're using wasn't updated to 1.6 yet; those mismatching tiles were replaced on the farmhouse_tiles sheet

I know I'm not one of the mod supports, but maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling JSON. It might be a case of needing to update and I know a lot of stuff changed with the new update. The publisher might have needed to change some of the code. I've been having similar issues as well. If that doesn't work, then I would keep asking mod support.

IDK where to ask it, but is there a way to add custom skills to UI info suite 2? I know that it uses SkillType.* but there's no enum entries in SkillType for custom skills. I don't know if it can be somehow extended or something. I see in SMAPI it has Combat = Farmer.combatSkill for example in the SkillType enum, but I can't find out what Farmer.combatSkill is either (so I don't know its value)

Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).

1.6 added new tiles which will take some time for recolor mods to catch up on. recolors will mostly work but there will be some vanilla-looking tiles. please be patient as you wait for mod authors to update their mods

I just install 4.0.4, didn't delete previous version

DC burger isn't a portraiture I think... it's a content patcher
it needs both portraiture and pytk, at least the one for sve does
but neither works. vanilla characters glitch out while sve onea are regular for me

Hmm weird i only have convenient chests and chests anywhere...though after looking at better chests on nexus it sounds awesome! I'm seeing which mods I've added since right before stutter started to check which is android it's likely very recent since I had to download versions of mods aside from latest to not get a 1.6 compat one
