Hi guys, I'm having an issue with loading Ridgeside, SVE and ES all at the same time
Is this normal or should I be concerned about other issues?
It's normal for your game to exponentially load longer the more NPC it has.
Started white screening and not responding actually, so not sure if thats normal or do I just wait

Just don't click anything and let it load. Usually it would not respond if you try clicking.
(it's normal. with three big expansions you are looking at >10 minutes load time without mitigation)
It will take quite a long time. To mitigate it, try installing "SpriteMaster" or "FastLoads" (but not both at the same time).
sometimes one will fail to work and the other will succeed, depending on ???.
fast loads is just load time optimization; spritemaster has a bunch of graphics options, especially sprite smoothing (its original purpose) which is divisive
Different people seem to have them perform differently. So just try both and compare which one is better for you.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

it's generally safe. there are some mods that recommend a new save (Stardew Valley Expanded in particular is notable for this). usually they say that in the mod description if it's the case
Mod description and articles is always the best place to check.
in the worst case, if you open your vanilla save with mods installed and it's broken, just close it without sleeping/saving and no harm done
i want to use stardrop and the gitbook they have just says to place the file in a preferred location, would my mods folder be where i should put it or in a seperate folder

If you put it in your Mods folder it'll try to load it like a Mod, best to keep it outside of the Mods folder

And see where the folders the log says the duplicate objects are coming from is
But duplicate objects are usually caused by downloading megapacks from PPJA, Atelier, etc and dow loading other packs from those mods

i think the first option means when you start SDV, it runs stardrop so you can edit your mod loadout. the second one runs stardrop but goes straight to the game by telling stardrop to start SMAPI

As for Seb, it's definitely safe, just might spam you with the events if they have unique ids and were littered through the lead up to marriage

You just have to make sure you launch the right group that pertains to that save
If you launch vanilla for example on a modded save, custom things might get changed into error items
As long as you're careful, then it should be no issue

You can mod your multiplayer games, but to avoid any hiccups, all players' mod lists need to match. If players have too many mismatched mods, you will experience bugs in your game - even if the mods were working fine earlier, there is no guarantee that they will stay that way, and strange things may start occurring. There are a few exceptions to this - cosmetic mods usually work fine with no glitches, and some C# mods work as well. Mods often include information on whether or not they work in multiplayer in their descriptions. However, in general, your mod lists should match exactly.

Mods are only applied on save load
Also, "upload" means to put a file onto the internet - you mean reinstall
as long as you don't open that save without mods, you won't face any issues if you remove your mods - and even so, as long as you don't go to sleep, no changes will be permanent

@pine zephyr I'm looking at my code right now and I don't see a reason that the slime hutch would be recolored when the config option is turned off. can you confirm that you're getting the pink, cotton candy colored slime hutch?
mmmh let me check that first I didnt check the hutch but I know the machines (slime egg press slime incbuator) doesnt get removed
for the machines, you should use the load order method that LeFauxMatt linked, until I add a machine toggle in my next update

For now, you can rename the mod folder for the medieval style craftables to have a "z" in front of its name
that will cause it to take effect after my own mod, and it will change all the machines to use the medieval style

hiiiii <3 im using gwens medieval buildings, and for some reason ever since i finished spring, the coop and cabin retexture hasnt been working? When you goto buy a new coop from robin it still comes up with the image of the retexured coop but it's just vanilla when placed, the only other thing that i THINK effects how the coop looks is DNEarthyRecolours but the mod's supposed to be compatible with that?
do you have one of those animals need water mods? i believe that changes the textures of the coop/barn and can be disabled in the config

Ok so My game is now freezing every time I try to click on the special orders board.
The smapi console is just giving me shaking red text.
I should probably note that I can play the game normally as long as I don't touch that orders board.

It seems that several other mods are touching special orders boards aside from the SpecialOrdersExtended, which might be causing a loop 
But it's a framework so...hold on
Well, there's Lumisteria, Emily the mixologist, and Wildflour's orders.
There was also Daily special orders but I turned that off hoping that might solve the issue.

This sounds like utter nonsense but verify file integrity, delete Special Orders Extended and reinstall it.

Probably because it looks like you haven't actually unzipped and installed any of them.
You need to unzip those and then place them in your mods folder.

Everything you've got that says compressed zip file is currently unusable.
You have to right click to unzip, THEN drag into the mods folder.
Hell, you've even got some at the top there that are already unzipped and probably working fine.
to unzip do i open it in WinRaR
Unless you have somethign that requires 7zip, you can just right click and select the extract all option.

Your "Baechu styled Portraits" folder have images in it, right? Move them to replace the images inside "Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic for SVE".
I'm not 100% sure, but this could be what causes the rest of the cascading errors:
And perhaps this is causing Quest Framework to be sad. See if you can do a file content search in your Mods folder for 99!?
okay last question, when i try to search for these mods nothing comes up except people who cant find it either. When i downloaded the original mod it didnt say it required this on Nexus
You have to have SVE installed in order for the Seasonal Cute Characters SVE to work.

also, when did you last back up your files?
it's trying to read or write to a location it can't read or write to - could just be something wrong with the game files in which case the reset could fix it, but it could also be a symptom of something else wrong

also bluedragon that log is confusing to me. why is fireworks festival trying to load cooking recipes that depend on PPJA and not saying it touches cooking at all on its nexus page??
It seems this is not caused by QF. In the log I saw something patched SMAPI’s events and it looks like event timechange fired day started event and that’s not regular behavior. And that may broke the event data or calls uninitiated systems within QF. Od when this event is called but it seems it’s called before systems are initialized. Original SMAPI calls this event correctly, but if it’s Harmony patched there is no guarantee it will work correctly.

Also, Builder's List doesn't seem to like Custom Crafting Stations
Possibly because it does things to the crafting menu and predates CCS so it doesn't handle it very well?

This was a fresh install on a new pc
there's an unofficial version of STF that adds wallpaper and floor support. i went to that and looked in its Requirements section for mods that required it, and saw that if you have both Farmer's Market and the seed shop progression mod you should use the unofficial Walls and Floors update instead

This doesn't appear to be a missing/corrupt SDV issue; this is a systems memory issue, and the error results because SMAPI is trying to access something that it either can't because it doesn't have the permissions it needs to do so or because the memory itself is corrupt. I would advise looking into that, tbh.

you can temporarily disable mods by adding a . in front of their folder name in the Mods folder (like .[CP] mod mod mod) or make a mod take priority by adding a z (like z[CP] mod mod mod)

harmony patches are in both stacktraces so it's possible it's a bug from different mods patching the same methods
one error names SMAPI and the other SpaceCore, which i am not inclined to believe are at fault. if possible, can you load in, run harmony_summary in your smapi console, and upload a new log afterward?

- you have three major expansions installed (SVE, Ridgeside, East Scarp). each of these on its own increases load times, but the more you add the worse it gets (it increases much faster than linear)
you can mitigate this by installing Spritemaster or Fast Loads (but not both). people have differing results with each of them; you can try both and see which one works better for you
having one of these can cut your save load time down from 20+ minutes to, say, 2 minutes (not exaggerating)
- SMAPI is complaining about Vortex folders, which makes me think Vortex has poofed some of your mods (it has a reputation for this)
we recommend not using Vortex for this reason. you can install and manage mods manually, or:

I realized that this is the mod that my boyfriend had helped me install (i got it confused with the generic mod config menu), so I guess I'm just going to wait until he can help me, cause ya girl is confused. I don't think i have updated it to the newest version, It looks like it came out 4 days ago, and i haven't messed with it since i got my game set up 2 or so weeks ago.
You actually do have the new version, unfortunately. 4.2.3 is the version that released. You have the unofficial Mod Updater Menu installed, which allows you to update mods automatically to my understanding
It provides links to the latest mod updates for download. So it's not user error, just a current bug in the Modular Gameplay Overhaul

The mod author is aware and working on a fix, I'd suggest just renaming the Modular Gameplay Overhaul folder with a period in front to temporarily disable it until the next update if the red text bothers you, but it should be fixed within a few days and shouldn't affect you aside from not having access to Margo features if it isn't crashing.

i'm afraid no one other than you can solve your problem of playing on Android, which is known to be all kind of broken and different
Fixing issues on Android is not trivial especially since Android SMAPI is unstable
Also, some people don't have an Android machine to test stuff with, which makes development really a nonstarter
(also Plato/Routine is barely modding at all nowadays)

I doubt pytk is very stable on mobile. It was having issues before on steam sdv. So I'd assume the mobile version would be worse.

In general, you can figure out whether a mod is (most likely) to work with the current version of Stardew Valley based on its update date. This is not a guarantee things will work or not work, but is accurate for most mods.
- 2016: Do not install (meant for incredibly early versions of Stardew)
- 2017: Do not install (meant for pre-multiplayer Stardew)
- 2018: Unlikely to work. If a Content Patcher mod, it might work, but in general it is not likely the mod will work.
- 2019: Content Patcher mods can be tried from here fairly easily. C# mods should still be mostly avoided.
- 2020: Content Patcher mods should work, but may be buggy. C# mods may work, but due to the 1.5 update there may be conflicts.
- 2021+: Should be usable.

I'll be honest. One, you need to delete Entoarox Framework. Two, I'd need my laptop to go through this list to figure out the cause of the pickaxe issue

These are the fox mod instructions:
Rename the files with the necessary number and place them in the pig folder in your adopt'n'skin mod folder.
The file name should bePig_#andBabyPig_#the # being replaced with an appropriate number. If you have nothing in your folder, you can just start with "Pig_1" and so on.
If you're having trouble understanding those, please send a screenshot of your Adopt N Skin folder and subfolders

It's not a good way to mod, and it makes troubleshooting very difficult
Nah, you need to unzip SMAPI first. Errr. I recommend you download WinRar to make your life easier, if you want.
It's like, things might not go wrong, but when they do you pretty much have to delete everything and start over

Much simpler and easier since you don't need to touch it or move files.
At this rate I don't even know why it keeps disappearing. I haven't gone mining at all- just talking to NPCs, ranching & sleeping.
Do you have a mod with hotkeys of sort?
Uhh.. Not from what I remember. I mean I do have that one Backpack expansion mod that goes up until 50~75, but it shouldn't change it regardless, even if I press TAB (which is what changes the inventory slots, or however it works)
They're usually just expansions or custom npcs

yeah it doesn't seem to be it. I just recently added it, too, and this has been going on for a little while longer.
At first I thought it was the mod that prevented me from swinging my pickaxe at NPCs, so I deleted it. Turns out it wasn't.

Help 😅 I am trying for the first time to create a new save using a different farm type. I disabled grandpa’s farm & my other greenhouse mod in order to replace them with the Legacy mods but they still aren’t working. The spring-tiles-whatever file I think the log is saying is the issue isn’t something I was able to find in my mod manager. What am I doing wrong?

Using Vortex Mod Manager with Stardew Valley has the risk of your mods not getting installed properly, and other issues. Consider doing manual mod installation or using Stardrop, a mod manager that was purpose built for SDV, instead!

Really? I’d never had issues with map changes prior to this like greenhouse or cellar changes mid game. I figured starting a new save for a new overhaul map would make it the easiest

Legacy Farm did not properly declare it as a dependency, so it's allowing it to run without the Lumi Sheets, and therefore crashing looking for the Lumi sheets

Yes it does! I must’ve missed Lumi’s & the bloom additions in the required mods
Either way, this is a bug on the mod you can't fix without editing the manifest. Technically, you can bypass it by having the tilesheets installed, but realistically a mod manager auto-downloading the mods won't let you code edit from what I remember.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

First up, are you intending on getting Content Patcher or Fashion Sense?
The file you linked is Fashion Sense and should have a manifest.json
You apparently have "2.0.1" version in the file you linked, but the only one visible is 2.0, that's what I meant, earth.
If I didn't see that manifest.json at the bottom of that mod on the mod page's main file, I would have said "oh, they're trying to make you merge that into Fashion Sense itself, extremely terrible coding"
But since I do, I'm confused as to where it went for you
