Hey Semisu i did it, it says all the logs are fine and errorless but it still says to update 5 of my mods that ive tried updating twice already :(
once you have your log uploaded it tells you which mods are outdated, which version you have and which is the most recent (you can click on the version numbers in the box at the top, that will redirect you to the mod page)

if you downloaded the most recent version of a mod and it still tells you to update, navigate to that mod's folder and open the manifest.json
it will have a bunch of information, one of which is "Version"
if that version is not showing the latest version, assume it is an author's oversight and replace it with the version number SMAPI tells you is the latest

your issue is not related to Pathos at all
the mods are fine, i just downloaded the latest Automate to be 100% sure
instead of replacing, can you delete the old mods first and then copy the new ones over?
Do it again, and more importantly, check that you are unzipping the most recent download every time
Download them off nexus to a diff location than you usually do
That way you don't mix up which to unzip.

I'm downloading Bus Locations for downtown zuzu and it popped up two folders, BusLocations and [BL] Desert. Do I need both transfered to my mods folder?

Files with the extension .zip, .rar, or .7z are archive files, which you can extract to get the actual files inside. For a .zip file, just right-click (or long-press on Android) it and choose the option like extract or uncompress. For .rar and .7z, you need to install third-party software first, like 7-zip https://7-zip.org/ on Windows (get the x64 version), Keka https://keka.io/ on macOS, PeaZip https://peazip.github.io/ on Linux, or ZArchiver https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver on Android.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for SDV 1.5.6.61. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.
If you find a mod bug on Android, first make sure that:
a) you have the latest SMAPI version from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases;
b) you have the latest mod version(s) or have the last-known Android-compatible version;
c) and the mod author hasn't already addressed it on the mod page (e.g. via an Android-specific version or comments).

hey i don't know if this is the right channel for this but I'm trying to help a friend rn to get their steam achievements working with smapi by changing the launch option etc, but the problem is they are on mac and i cant find anywhere what you have todo on mac instead of windows, does anyone here know?
You don't need launchoption for mac. As long as when you launch smapi and stean runs, steam achievement will work
for some reason my portrait mods haven't been working and i'm not sure if it's the actual portrait mod or portraiture itself but whenever i launch smapi there are no warnings on it and it says that all my mods are up to date and working so there are seemingly no problems?
but obviously that's not the case..
alright this is a hideous log I know; it's from my main instance and not my testing instance. But @pallid summit I think there's an incompatibility between lacey and cave of memories; when I try to replay a memory it doesn't work and throws an error in console

in RSV, in the Hotel, alot of the spites are blinking back and forth between different layers any ideas what might be causing this?
no worries! just thought I'd let you know since it's a weird interaction. I think the reflection chain for command lookup is failing somewhere but I don't know where exactly
actually it should be possible to fix by just using ?. instead of . for the reflection calls and then just checking if dict is null
...though that probably means lacey's events wouldn't be replayable with cave of memories
yeah that makes sense. i've never seen that patch fail! i wonder how it got a null in there

as long as the cave isn't resetting the contents of _commandLookup that's probably a safe fix. but i wouldn't be surprised if some of lacey's events won't replay due to all the C# shenanigans i put in there
it's because you're using GetType with GetField and cave of memories events are subclassed
so the type that it's getting is the subclass and not type Event, and the subclass does not declare the command dictionary, so it can't find it

so if you use typeof(Event) instead of GetType it should work

i don't know about that, but probably best to not have it installed unless you have a mod that needs it (and usually there are newer alternatives that use producer framework mod)

i mean for mods that use custom farming redux, it's a framework type mod that other mods use, it doesn't do much by itself. if you uninstall it the smapi log shows if any of your other mods depend on custom farming redux (because those mods won't load)

Good day, I'm trying to figure out which mod is causing this error:
An error occurred in the base update loop: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I'm thinking it has something to do with SpaceCore? but I don't have any clue on how to fix it or if it really is the issue. This error happens only when I'm trying to join my girlfriend's co-op world (we have the same mods)

It's server issue and i don't think spacecore has something to do with it. My guess is always on server. Also you might wanna reinstall gift taste helper and instant building if you need em

Just checking. Do we know which mods are safe for the 1.6 alpha update? Like is there a way to check via Vortex or anything? I'm wondering if I should just revert back to 1.5 when the update comes out since my girlfriend and I are enjoying our playthrough with the mods.
SMAPI does give deprecation warnings, but it should be trivial depending on where you have the game from.
Gog you literally can just not update and I think steam also has a way to forgo updates, if you want to stay on 1.5

Copy and move your game folder to a new location on your computer and launch SDV directly from that new location. For easier access, pin the new location to your favorites or create a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop!

Rename the game folder to "Stardew Valley 1.5.6" and launch SDV directly from that new location. NOTE: You will not be able to play through Steam anymore unless you also set up the game + SMAPI as a non-Steam game method, so keep that in mind if you care about total playtime hours or achievements.

Hi, i've been trying to install smapi on my friend's phone and after it's installed it opens normally but the virtual keyboard doesn't show up and in the files there's no mods folder. Can anyone help me with this problem? I've already tried creating the folder myself but it doesn't read the mods

That's the problem I dealt with all the errors but my game just crashes randomly, and it's not caused by something specific sometimes it's right after I start it and sometimes when I m loading in or even when I m just playing or doing nothing

Sorry for bothering you but I just deleted it and the game still crashes, I tried it with a different set of mods with basically only sve and still had the same crashes, when I said it might be something to do with spacecore it's because I noticed a line in the log that says that space core found 3 transpiler tragets while only expecting 2

yes, but that's not the issue ponde as that is a normal log thing with spacecore on mobile. As much as I don't care for mobile SMAPI, even I can note that people have used SpaceCore on mobile, had that error, and had it work

This weird thing keeps happening. I have the smapi game launcher thing installed and for a while now it'll like fully restart my game anytime I leave that app even for a second. Normally I can just and come back and continue where I left off.

Mods: Nothing. Literally nothing. I have installed absolutely nothing at all.
I have cleared all the app data I can get to, renamed all the old folders "disabled_" to keep them out of the way, and installed from scratch.
The thing is, this is a regression; it actually worked fine about... six months ago? It may have been a base game update that broke it, I do not know.
I have no idea where to proceed from here because I am not getting anything more detailed than "SMAPI Stardew Valley keeps crashing."
i believe .52 is an update that apparently breaks mobile smapi and the developer hasnt fixed it yet

if i may ask for assistance: after installing the mods from the Stardew Valley VERY Expanded Collection https://next.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/collections/tckf0m?tab=mods I find that once I start a farm and end the Grandpa Cutscene, the game stops responding. Yes you can do that. Your save would remain in the same location, but you would basically change your launch options and rebuild your Mods folder.
Well, that depends on what mods you're using and if they have dependencies. The only rule I really pay attention to is with Content Patcher - edits made to assets will only apply for the last mod loaded that makes those edits.

yeah chlounny yours are... incredibly outdated. You also have PyTK, which you should get rid of, and Portraiture, which should either be updated and put on your friend's modlist or removed.

for the farm map “yet another farm map” it says there’s two versions, i’m sort of confused how i pick between them? it just gave me a random one
"Yet Another Farm Map" by default replaces the Forest Farm. If you want to play the modded map, you would need to choose the Forest Farm from the creation menu.

I don't know if it can be said here, but I found that the swin mod and gem island work fine on Android, although you have to modify in the config.json the line of code "ManualJumpButton" To a button that you can use on the smapi virtual keyboard, plus you can't dive

I know you can mod on Deck but can you keep it in sync?
like can I go back and forth on the same save?
Keep the mods the same on both sides and steam sync should mostly work
on PC I assume Nexus, same on Deck?
Easier, frankly, to install mods on PC then transfer via samba or sd card

Turns out it was not a bug. Apparently SpriteMaster has a setting called "Puffer snow chance" which goes from 0 to 1 and by default is set to 0, but in my settings 1 (meaning 100% chance for 'that' atrocity 😅 ) which is weird, because I've never encauntered it before and I've been using the mod for quite some time now. So when someone comes with the same question - it's not a bug, it's a feature 😄
The setting is located in the 'Advanced Settings' menu, under Extra.Snow category
what the heck
so I'm playing heavily modded (SVE, ridgeside, east scarpe). Sometimes when loading a map (moving between areas) my screen goes black for a while (20-30 seconds?) and then everything loads and works fine. The problem is that this loading period will disconnect all other players in a multiplayer game. Is there a way to increase the disconnect timeout in multiplayer? absent that, is there a way for me to figure out what's causing the load screen transition time?
