I agree with logos suggestion. Also set the resolution to the lowest setting you are comfortable on. It'll feel super zoomed in at first but with less to render it should lag less

Hi! The cooking skill creates dishes of varying quality, disrupting bulk crafting as I have to put it in my inventory manually to create another dish. Is there a workaround for this?

There's no way to have something akin to shift-clicking to have it go into my inventory instead of the cursor, then? Sitting and moving each dish into my inventory is not great lol

the mod that ask for update is actually the latest version in nexus for the at mod, but the log shows the cp version, so I dont think that is the reason

Well, you won't get much help with pirated copies here for obvious reasons
Remove Adopt N Skin, as it's broken in multiplayer. It also looks to be breaking the cow textures, which is why they're crashing in the forest.
(Yes, even the multiplayer beta is broken in multiplayer at present.)
I'll just buy them the game for christmas, I hate using the pirated copy because it's so annoying to make it work in multiplayer

Well, if You remove expanded you will loose whatever it has to do with that one. The save will be just the vanilla version

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. I have a question, Im tryna play modded with my girlfriend and im tryna give her my mods to download but she keeps getting this error: error 0x8007000e not enough memory
i have literally tried everything, we trouble shooted for over and hour, I managed to find an update issue and fixed that as well, even increasing her virtual memory, she had like 6gb free on her C drive and even tho she has stardew on her d drive we cleared space on her c drive and then moved stardew to that drive.
so basically yeah I was wondering if anyone else went through the same issue and if so how did u fix it

how much ram does the computer have? it could be a mod causing memory leak but more likely it's just that the computer can't run the mod setup
virtual memory would use disk space to kinda work like memory, but that's just "in the worst case" and the moment the system needs to use it, it's gonna be SLOOOOOOOW
its 16GB, she used to be able to run it but that was spring this year, I've gotten more mods now not as much as 523 anymore but definitely around the 400s but she keeps getting that pop up

nope, and the modded game doesnt crash either, but keep it mind that they both launch fine with no mods, because the issue is we cant even extract the mods to the mods file without getting that error

to extract them. So whenever she tries to extract the mods from the zipfile to the mod folder she gets that error: error 0x8007000e not enough memory. So running the game isnt an issue because we cant even get the mods in there in the first place yk?

and i assume it was you who compressed them for her, so what did you compress them with?

i'd try extracting with a different app. personally i use 7-Zip, and a lot of people do, because it's a no nonsense, free app

It was the artisan valley mod, But I deleted and reinstalled and it seems to be working now

Invisible bed most likely means XNB.
certain mod is causing issue for the other players in coop (they crash if they enter town b/w 9:30am to 3:30pm) we assume its a mod host is using since we dont experience that if someone else hosts. how to find which mod is causing the issue? we installed all the host's mods that patched game code

You can mod your multiplayer games, but to avoid any hiccups, all players' mod lists need to match. If players have too many mismatched mods, you will experience bugs in your game - even if the mods were working fine earlier, there is no guarantee that they will stay that way, and strange things may start occurring. There are a few exceptions to this - cosmetic mods usually work fine with no glitches, and some C# mods work as well. Mods often include information on whether or not they work in multiplayer in their descriptions. However, in general, your mod lists should match exactly.

I'm a little confused because every mod I've loaded would be added directly to the mods folder and not the content folder. I have also checked all the mods now and none of them have an .xnb file.

Your log doesn't show you loading into the game, but if verifying files didn't work, I have a feeling it might be your translated SVE.
Temporarily deactivate SVE, load the game, see if your bed is not invisible.
it may well be that it could be due to SVE. i got the german translation.
But I can't deactivate SVE because it will destroy my savefile and my farm won't exist anymore.
that is very much incorrect.
you can deactivate SVE and error handler will take it out normally. And as long as you don't leave your house you won't even notice anything off.
Plus no changes will actually save until and unless you save.... and if your bed is gone, not like that's gonna happen 
I tried to take a craftables mod from the nexus and turn convert it into a content patcher mod for my own use. It kinda worked, in that the textures I wanted to change were changed, but the textures for everything else became missing...

That mod is from 2019.
Anything prior to Dec 2020 that isn't content patcher is likely to cause lots of problems.
yes my mistake. Would be nice if nexus mods would not be so confusing with all the mods that are outdated.

Hey, I'm on Android and trying to use the Virtual Keyboard that comes with the latest version of SMAPI, but the icon isn't showing up. How do I get it to work? Also, I have my files in a separate location (instead of having to go into android/data/com.zane.stardewvalley, I can access it from the file list that has download and android. The folder in data just contains saves and screenshots.) Having it where it is allows almost any app to access it's contents without trouble.
it's not possible to have them look just like the farmhouse (until 1.6) since the sprites and buildings are different sizes

I downloaded SMAPI and the MONO framework and the mod that I wanted, some sources online said to drag the mod into the mod folder but there isn't one. Hello, I am having some issue with running SAMPI on my computer. I’m on Windows 11. I have the latest version of the game from steam. I have the latest version of SMAPI
I am able to run the game when SMAPI is uninstalled. When I install SMAPI and click StadewModdingAPI.exe I get the above screenshot

I have tried:
• Rebooting pc
• Reinstalling game
• Reinstalling SAMPI
• Partitioning drive and creating new Steam Library
• Whitelisting SAMPI on antivirus
Currently out of ideas on how to get the game working with mods again.
System.AccessViolationException - this happens when SMAPI doesn't have access to read/write to memory. You've whitelisted your anitvirus, but have you given SMAPI all access permissions?
Also, how much RAM do you have? This can happen when not enough memory is allocated to processes.
As far as I can tell, yes. I have given it full security permissions

So the only other thing I can find is that this can happen when memory attempting to be accessed is corrupted.

i notice quite a bit of stuff unable to load in, but idk why they wont load in since there wasn't any required files i didnt download
The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

Those are not error. It's just you don't have mods that have those recipes installed so LoC remove those recipe from list

I just bought a new computer, how do I move my modded save from one computer to another? I copied the folder in save-backup and installed smapi and the mods on the new computer and pasted the folder there, but it doesn't show up. I must be missing something.

SVE wasn't installed correctly. And you're using an outdated version of Immersive Farm.
I recommend deleting SVE and reinstalling it, along with the IMF2 map (also located on the SVE files page on Nexus)

It's not your installation. Certain machines need another mod to connect them to Automate - PFMAutomate - and according to reports, 1.2.2 works

When you're in there, could you navigate to your SMAPI console, and in the window there, input patch summary and then once that is done, input patch export "Maps/JoshHouse"

you could have two folders, yes. one for one save and one for another. for the save that you want to currently play, name that folder Mods. and for the save you dont want to play, you can name it literally anything else

it's so old it's from before nexus introduced archiving
i used to play sve when it first came out, but i thought i cleared all the old file and then redownloaded everything, could smapi be using older files
well it's clearly not using new files
i would just completely clear out your mod folder and make sure you install everything new. smapi will only pull things from inside your mod folder so clearly there must be some messed up stuff happening in there

Thanks, Cherry. I can see from the log that you edited some of the game's content files by using xnb mods. That can have unexpected consequences and is not recommended.

Resetting your game files is super easy.
- Launch Steam and right clik the game in your library
- Select "Properties" or "Manage"
- Select "Installed Files" tab
- Click on "Verify integrity of game files" button
Steam does things in the background. You won't see anything pop up on screen.
So, now you want to go into your Mods folder and delete the files titled "Buildings" "Shirts" and "Skirt"

a) you have the latest SMAPI version from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases;
b) you have the latest mod version(s) or have the last-known Android-compatible version;
c) and the mod author hasn't already addressed it on the mod page (e.g. via an Android-specific version or comments).

Copy and move your game folder to a new location on your computer and launch SDV directly from that new location. For easier access, pin the new location to your favorites or create a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop!

so i figured out my issue with margo. changing the settings for any module in game using gmcm causes all the machines and artisan goods in the professions module to go blank. could i get someone else who uses margo to test this and see if it happens to them or if its a me thing?

I was expecting the Garnet to be the resonance since I added it first but after adding the Aquamarine and Jade it turns into Aquamarine resonance. Isn't Garnet the "root" since I added it first, or am I misunderstanding something?

this usually happens with transpilers, or if there's a Harmony bug
it shows up when applying an answerDialogue patch, which Season Affixes only does for the Inflation affix

custom farms usually replace the standard farm layout

It's either a replacement for (usually the stardand map) like sylve said or sometimes it's a new map that can be seen by clicking an arrows in the map selection (or something.. waffle did it)

The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

Idk what an answerDialogue patch is.. but the broken festival I tried to play with ln had a dialogue box w/ Lewis to trigger the festival event to start and it was not working. Choosing yes or no did nothing and I had to leave without seeing the main event

I have a small problem. I got better tools with the item spawner, but now I have the problem that I can't get rid of the old tool, you can't throw it in the trash can or throw it on the floor.
Is there a way to remove these old tools?
Possible issue with greenhouses maybe .... Last night I was able to complete the pantry in the CC, got Robin to build a new Greenhouse (that uses the interior I want). Planted some crops (and trees) in it today, went to sleep (in-game) and the crops (not the trees) seemed to have disappeared. how are you guys dealing with the upcoming 1.6 update and installed mods? The update will most likely break almost all mods I have. Is it possible to pause the update or choose to stay at the current version until all my mods get updated? I would like to continue to play in my current playthrough.

I mean some may corrupt my save file (or soft lock me out of quests or whatever?) without me noticing it straight away.. So I rather play on the old version for a while.. xD
SVE has an update to 1.6 in the works, STF will be outdated and converted to content patcher (and will also be maintained by Pathos himself), Stardew Aquarium already has a PR patch with no deprecated code that I'm using at present, PFM is also being rolled in, etc.

(I speak as someone within the 1.6 thread. Nothing of yours will corrupt. You may simply lose access to some things until specific mods are updated to work.)
Granted I too will keep a 1.5.6 backup until at least RSV, SVE, and Free Love are all updated. But you don't have to worry about things corrupting on you.
Sounds fair to me. We will most likely start a new game in a year or so (IRL year) and update to the latest version then (if 1.6 comes out before that)

A few mods are a little out of date, the most apparently being the expanded woods mod, but I'm not sure that would really affect things. I've been doing my own system administration and programming for years and have pretty good intuitions about such things. Either way, any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you just used the ChallengingCommunityCenterBundles part, you'd have no bundle changes. If you just used the latter two, you'd have what you have now - mods that are in your folder but don't work. You need both for it to work together
