Hi everyone, got a bit of a strange one for you today, my game was working just fine up until last night, when everything I tried to do in-game required 2 left mouse clicks to register, and when it did register, it would stay "clicked" causing me to repeatedly swing my Axe, Pickaxe, Scythe etc.
It only does this in Stardew Valley, I've tried replicating it in other games/programs and nada, only SDV modded.
To be sure I tried another mouse and another keyboard, same issue. I've been googling all morning and I can't find anyone else who is having this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sorry if this is in the one place, please do let me know and I'll move it.

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

I just tried it, no luck unfortunately. It still requires two left mouse clicks to do anything, even in the menu. I'll try what you said and see if I can isolate the problem.

My first time hearing that issue too
Coop Cursor seems specifically intended to alter how the mouse works (e.g. disabling it for a specific multi-screen coop mod), so that might be worth disabling first? Beyond that, yeah, see if it still happens with no mods and work your way back up.

I trial and errored, and it turned out that UI mod didn't cause an issue. However, you were right about the mods that change vanilla furniture causing the issue. In my case it was "Better Tappers" that caused the issue though I'd never have figured they'd be considered a furnishing haha.
I also said craftable, that can also cause the donations to disappear,

yeah i accidentally realised i had both way back and yris so i deleted way back and the problem still continued
huh? what I'm saying is, Yri's checks if you have Way Back and loads afterward; you can have both (with the change to Way Back, all three)

look at that, we don't know about assets yet but it looks like these mods have no files at all
there should at least be a manifest.json in all those folders you show
this must have happened on unpacking the mods
if you still have the archives, open them instead of extracting and check that there's actually files inside

Hey so there are some XNB files I want to use in the game but when I replace the vanilla files with the custom ones, it doesn't look right ingame. Instead the files seem too be too big. Anyone know how to fix it?

- ToDoList is an old mod
- You have to make a folder (can be named ToDoList) then extract ToDoList mod into that folder if you really wanna try that mod

hello! I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm using MARGO (which changes how you get the galaxy sword) and I ended up getting the galaxy hammer first and just got the galaxy sword. But I'm playing SVE and I need to trigger the Galaxy Sword event and it just refuses to trigger. Has anyone had this issue before? Or does anyone have a way to get the event id for the Galaxy Sword Event SVE?
I remember adding a workaround for that but I guess I'll double check
I intentionally removed that event because it didn't make sense for Marlon to say he'll sell galaxy weapons from now on

Hey All, I'm using Vortex mod manager and can't quite get Smapi to load most mods, the window it brings up shows it is loading them and everything, but nothing in the game and no errors, I cut down all of the mods to just "Stardew Valley Expanded" and its dependencies and it wont properly load them. Nope, and in character creation it doesn't show other map options either, I'll either install Stardrop or just not use a mod manager and try again here though, thanks for the suggestion!

IF2R and Grandpa's are optional files, and they replace the Standard farm afaik

Looks like I did not remove it. I just edited the dialog. The event should still trigger after getting any galaxy weapon..
Thanks for looking into it. I'm working on speedrunning all the other conditions for unlocking the badlands because I might have triggered the event a while ago and forgot. I'll let you know if I have any issues with it

of course more mods will usually mean longer load times, but there are some aspects of the game that can be optimized by mods

Azz - not many of us play on mobile. And the hard, honest truth is that modding on Android is a GIANT MESS right now, and no one has answers.

Will the cat go somewhere else? I never watched a cat being able to warp so I fear its being stuck there forever ^^ I tried to push it now into the warp on the bottom but no luck, it just disappeared and now is back again here
Have you tried sleeping a day? Is the cat still stuck on the third floor on the next day?
Azz, I also am a mobile player. Others will say differently, but there is not a working smapi for the newest release. Only 80 mods will work with the new one. I personally say, uninstall everything and go back to the old 1.4.5 version of you want to use mods.
going back to 1.4 is also a miserable thing to do

Never said to pirate it, just recommended to down grade if you want to use mods. Paid for my game and still using old version. Want update until Smapi works again.

Anyone know anything about using Vortex mod manager? Very new to modding and unsure what I'm doing wrong. I've downloaded SV, then Vortex, then SMAPI, and then a bunch of mods I wanted to use. I made sure to open SV at least once before installing anything, but it seems like none of my mods are working. I'm not getting any error messages from Vortex, some of the mods including SMAPI and Stardew Valley Expanded show "No Information" under compatibility, but other than that I can't see anything wrong.

yeah, unless your internet sucks... then i could see how annoying that would be. but i have hundreds of mods and am constantly updating so.. all i can say is it's not bad to me!
Be warned if you update through stardrop (using nexus api), if the mod add new things/change something, the older version of mod didn't deleted completely. It's always better to update mods manually as well as installing

?? I'm not sure I understand...Perfection Tweaker allows you to set the requirements to meet perfection. So for example, if the base was that you needed 20 perfect friendships, you could set the config to 18 and still get perfection.

Hello! Hoping to find help with automate. I have the latest automate and pfmautomate, but some machines are getting stuck after finishing their processing. I've sat around an entire day watching them and they don't update. I can post my smapi log but there is nothing interesting in it I promise

You can - but you need specific tile coordinates. The main warp points can be debugged specifically.
Can you input automate summary into your console and show what pops up?

I have No Clip Mode, so if there is a "safe" tile coordinate that would be fine for me, its all about just remembering a lot of these names since its hard to do that for me with that many maps 😄
It is a mp game, I'm the main player. The farmhands don't have automate installed because they're playing on potatoes and I wanted to save them the lag\temp

You would have to investigate further to get those coordinates, probably with Lookup Anything's advanced config set.
However, using console commands is not recommended for general play as they can have unintended side effects.
You can look at other mods like multiple mini-obelisks that might do what you're looking to accomplish without possibly borking your save.
That's probably the culprit. Automate is a C# mod, and in mp games, any mismatch of mods can cause major issues, C# mod or CP mod.

Haha we're already using spritemaster, I could convince them to try tweaking those settings down a little. Lag isn't a huge issue its more computer temps from what I understand
LOL. Turning off the pixel resampling is a start, if they haven't done that yet.
There are a lot of settings in the config.toml file - anything related to sampling, scaling, texturing, could be toggled to false

I'm thinking that small mods might be adding assets or editing tile sheets and you may have to specifically recolor those assets/tilesheets to match the shading you want.

I can help you get started...
IF you have to recolor - the easiest thing to do is to open the tilesheet or asset that contains the coloring/shading you want, then open the asset that needs to be changed.

Yes, but you will need those tilesheets to possibly edit the ones that aren't matching...so the waterfall from the second image is what's out of place, right?

And those daisyniko assets are just extras...not full recolor tilesheets
yeah...I see them. You have to find the mods that add those changes, like the picnic blanket, and edit the assets in that mod to match your recolor.
Alternatively, you could always reach out to the mod authors who made those mods and ask if they could create compatibility with Blue Grass Recolor.

It's pixel by pixel...I'm not familiar with photoshop, but in aseprite, for example, I could use the eyedropper on the BG Recolor tilesheet to capture the shade/color I want, then go to the picnic blanket image and "replace" the colors. For example, the grass - click on one pixel, grab the hex code or color, then go to the picnic grass, click on the pixel and replace the color.
I don't know if that makes any sense...

So, each retexture is assigned to a specific piece of furniture - like the "Artist Bookcase" or the "Birch Chair"
You have to have one of those in order to add the Opulence retexture.
Opulence retextures affect many different furniture items - you could open the mod folder to find out which ones are targeted.

yeah - the birch chair, for example, is a vanilla item. But you have to have one placed in your house to retexture it.

Put a birch chair in your house, make sure you have the paint bucket in your inventory, and then place your pointer on the birch chair, click on the paint bucket, and the AT menu should pop up.
It's not the farm so much as it's the mods that are adding/editing assets - they aren't compatible with recolors, it seems. Or at least not Blue Grass Recolor.

You would do the same thing for all the other base items that Opulence retextures - and there are a lot! You can see what the base items are by opening the mod's folder and then opening the main "Textures" folder.

can someone tell me whats messing up here exactly? after downloading the MARGO mod, whenever i try to access certain chests whether it be regularly or thru the Chests Everywhere mod, it doesn't show with my mod feed saying its trying to prevent the game from crashing for whatever reason. I already know its MARGO messing with things but if i can i rly want both working

Known bug from what I can discern, and they are actively working on it. You cannot access slots in a chest that you do not have in your inventory.

any ideas abt this? [Content Patcher] Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/Greenhouse' asset (Grandpa's Farm and Pookachus Insane Greenhouse). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
If you want to use Pookachus Insane Greenhouse, you have to disable the Grandpa's farm greehouse in the configuration, iirc

It's a CP mod, so it actually "replaces" the vanilla assets. It's not a retexture like Opulence.

It shows as loaded into the game and no errors reported. But you also have another CP mod that edits the Furniture Tilesheet. Could you try removing the Industrial Kitchen Interior content pack and see if that fixes the issue?

This log still shows you have Industrial Kitchen installed...can you exit the game, remove the kitchen mod, relaunch the game, and then ss the couch options in the furniture catalogue?
I found a compatability list of expansions on the sve page

Naver mods typically don't have CP conversions. You'd have to make it yourself, unfortunately.

Iii think youve maybe done the file replacement step wrong? Did you just remove the existing SVE files and place the translated folders in after?
Youre supposed to have english stardew valley expanded installed, then drag and drop the "Stardew Valley Expanded" folder from inside the "Stardew Valley Expanded-BR" into your mods folder and when it asks if you want to replace files with the same name you click yes

I have no idea why but the newest sampi keeps laggging for like 4 minutes when i go to a different screen at least once per day
i'm having an issue where i can't load into my saved game. it just black screens once the loading bit is done and stops responding. i thought i removed the mods that were causing issues but now it still isn't loading and i don't nkow what to do. i need to be on a lower version of smapi because of a compatability issue with mdos in a later version

Heyo, I'm new here. I've been using modded Stardew just fine for a few days but all of the sudden when I booted it up today, the game opens but freezes indefinitely on a white screen. I've tried pretty much everything, uninstalling all of my mods, restarting my computer, and the like, but the only way I can get the game to load at all is by completely uninstalling all of my mods and opening vanilla; even reinstalling SMAPI does not work. The log does not seem to suggest the game even crashed at all, so I am very confused.
I do recall having this exact issue about a year ago when I tried to install mods for the first time, but I could also not resolve the issue then and just gave up entirely on mods until recently when I tried again and seemed to have no issues for a few days. I have no idea what could be causing this.

Its lagging currently with this message in SMAPI sometimes "[Better Crafting] [IG:Custom Crafting Stations] Removed 58 crafting recipes due to CCS." how can I find out how to remove these recipes permanently? It seems like it isnt removed, I saw the message like 10 times in an hour, each time is a lag 😄
It seems that this mod is causing a lot of lag, is the categorisation in the crafting menu easy to replace? it loads these things when Im in the mines and it seems unnecessary (sometimes Im waiting 1-3 minutes until the lag is over). Last message: "[Better Crafting] [RecipeManager] Loaded 455 cooking recipes and 370 crafting recipes." But why does it do that in the mines when switching the level 😄

do i just have to install smapi game once at the start, then put mods in the folder, then just launch the game through smapi?
or do i have to install updates on the smapi game every time i add a new mod?

If you use Steam, you can also right click on the game name > Manage > Browse Local Files.
I use windows and opened it up on steam, and in the mods folder I see the mods like customizable health/stamina and easier sprinklers, but when I load the game no mods are actually loaded in, it just seems like regular stardew valley

When I double click on the windows installer thing and extract the files it just does nothing after that

Hey all! I'm new to mods, I have mods on my pc and want to also play on my steam deck. If I put the mods on my steam deck, can I use the cloud save to play the same save with mods on both my PC and my deck? I did some quick googling and didn't find a definitive answer
Most likely yes, the cloud sync feature is occasionally buggy though (doesn’t sync) so try to keep good backups
In general playing the same save on different devices is entirely possible

Probably because android is somewhat buggy, although in general config files are generated on game launch in the mods folders, if there were issues in the transfer process surrounding the mods folder that probably wouldn’t help
Check your log to see if the mods in question are loading at all
are there any glitches you can do on switch for anything at all?
