You don't uh actually need a key for WinRAR, I'm probably borderline rule 5 mentioning this but, you can just x out of the WinRAR popups saying expired and continue to use it

hey friends! i think i'm doing something wrong with mods. i downloaded a few from nexus and i do have smapi installed and any other required files. the only mod that works is the first one i downloaded a few days ago. all of the others are not loading and smapi isn't loading them in the log. any ideas or tips? :c

  2. Re-installed game
  3. Opened a port in modem
  4. No active VPNs
  5. He has the latest game update

Hmm i think there is something wrong with my game frame-rate it almost never stays capped at 60 fps and the framerate varies from 20-56 FPS I got a really good PC Specs so i dont think this is a problem of hardware

Crossplay is not currently possible and may never be possible on Stardew Valley. According to ConcernedApe the technical barriers are very high. And he would like to add it and may eventually look into it but as of now it is not possible.

@ArcaneDescent @JessYoMama You can do it without a mod. Go to %appdata%/StardewValley and open the file called startup_preferences. ctrl + f for "playerLimit" and you'll find something like this: <playerLimit>-1</playerLimit>.

Change the -1 to any number you like...

We tried to raise the player limit but it doesn't seem to add a character slot when joining the server
We haven't tested what happens if someone without a character tries to join but we're a little worried because our fifth person would be buying the game to join us 😄

any idea on why my client players screen shows “connection failed” even tho were both on vanilla mode ? were trying to start a multiplayer game for the first time.

  • we cant friend each other bc both of our games are gifted so we havent passed the 5 usd steam rule

@celest cedar Saves on consoles cannot be transferred to other consoles, PC, or mobile. The consoles don't allow access to them so you can't grab them and move them. Consoles of the same type (xbox > xbox, playstation > playstation, switch > switch) will transfer through cloud saves.

I'd still just refer back to the mp help guide there is a lot of stuff in there to try, if that all fails. Make sure you actually own the game (multiplayer doesn't work on piracy) if you have it on gog you need gog galaxy, and at the end of the day the gog servers which pc uses (yes even if you are on steam) can just say no due to some internet connections

Okay so I have a problem occurring and I’m not sure how to fix it. I accidentally deleted my friends cabins when I was cleaning up my farm the other day. I placed new empty cabins down so they could join back with new characters. Two of them were able to return without issue but the third one is unable to rejoin. @blissful rock You can post images and embeds in most channels with the Cowpoke role. Earn it at level 5 by posting in our channels!
Currently #town-square has embeds disabled.

Hello! My husband gave me his laptop recently and I wanted to play stardew there. But! I was unable to add mods because his filepath for steam is not aligned(?) as he moved the storage for steam into SSD (?) instead of on the laptop storage. I was thinking of uninstalling steam and reinstalling it to see if it can be reset that way?

@megthehopeful It's kind of complicated, but involves a legal/business issue which I can't really get into, the necessity to have a whole new team work on it, and then multiple setbacks and missed deadlines due to people being unfamiliar with the code or underestimating the difficulty

Try this

  1. Right click your desktop
  2. Click NVIDIA Control Panel
  3. Select Manage 3D Settings
  4. Select Program Settings
  5. Then Select StardewModdingAPI.exe, set the preferred graphics processor to High-Performance NVIDIA processor.
  6. Click Apply on the bottom right and repeat the same process for the StardewValley.exe also.

(Select the StardewModdingAPI.exe and StardewValley.exe in the directory of your game!)
