the most you can do really is reinstall, make sure switch servers aren't down, restart console, and try disconnecting/switching wifi

Hi, so my friend and I started a new farm last night. I host the game. He can't seem to go pass the Laoding screen. We are using mods. We both have the same mods. Expect some that are for asthetic reasons.
I get the pop up thing saying the player joined. But he is stuck for hours on end in the Laoding screen

And we don't know what to do

I saw that a lot of other ppl also have thus problem, but there wasn't any fixes

I just start my day as per usual (wake up, pet my cat, enjoy the fact that its a stormy day so i dont have to water my summer crops, etc)
I sell some stuff to make space at the shipping box and collect new crops, but, at random, the game starts having some kind of overflow issue, not closing propperly any hud and turning the screen black eventually. When i close it, the whole MAC acts weird, to the level that i was afraid i would corrupt it

So my wife and I have encountered a strange glitch twice now while playing splitscreen co-op. Married with fully upgraded house, sleep in the same bed. Prompt to have children comes up on my screen, I say yes. Then it says "Waiting for Other Players" on my screen and her screen just has the date screen on it. We waited for quite a bit, but the only way to move on is to hit cancel. Black screen, game saves, next day starts without giving her a child prompt.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening? I don't have any children editing mods installed.

Hi all, my partner and I are experiencing an odd issue. We haven't played in about a year, where we played with a few mods. Now we are just trying to get the game launched. My computer launched the game both modded and unmodded without issue, but when my partner tried to launch the steam would say 'running' for about 3 seconds, then act as if the game was just closed, having never actually launched the game.

the UI (and the game itself) is about twice as small as it should be, both in the menus and the game. i've tried changing the resolution but nothing works; it looks like i've got it on 200% zoomed out but I haven't.

1. yes, it's at 150% because that's how everything else on my computer works
2. 1920 x 1080
   both are the default and recommended settings for my computer and as far as i know have never been changed

Hey there, I've stopped playing SDV for some months and recently I've picked it up again.
With Windows 11 and SDV 1.5.6 and the latest SMAPI version I'm having a weird display issue:
I do have two monitors set up, a main one in front of me, and a secondary one left to me.
I'm always playing in windowed mode and maximize the window.
Initially everything's fine, but then the window has a gap on the left side. After loading a save everything's fine until I press a button to open up a menu (like "E").
SDV is the only game/application having that issue... is this maybe a known bug or is there a way to fix that on my end?

Something is happening with my SV game, it keeps freezing every 5 seconds for about 0.5 seconds and It's really annoying and it makes it hard to play. if you want one of your screen, and are on steam you can press f12 or for windows you can press win key + shift + s and then drag

that is strange. only my test version (the one i made today to see whether the ui scale is fixed to a specific world or not) uses the name as part of the file.

the game world that i am curently using addresses it as hilltop with a bunch of numbers after it.

also i have more save files of the worlds then i do when i load up the game.

so do i just remove the old suffix from the old ones and get rid of the rest?

i don't think so. i just went to the saves dierectory (config.) and did what the site said. there were multiple of the same name (hilltop.randomnumbers) so i just choose the one furthest to the left.

You maybe be able to manage your inventory that way, but the game isn't designed for touchscreen on PC and you won't be able to control most aspects of the game with it. The mobile version of the game is built for touchscreen input though.

Hopefully it's not an actual problem with the hardware. I would still recommend checking for driver updates. For a custom-built PC you'll want to check the websites for manufacturers of particular components, e.g. NVidia or AMD for graphics cards, AMD or Intel for your CPU/chipset, and maybe your motherboard manufacturer's website for anything else specific to that model like BIOS updates

there are also various bits of software out there for keeping an eye on CPU temperature in case it's overheating, although I don't know how likely overheating is in this case.

It does, but the processor isnt overheated, i checked it as i said before, and it was on like 68ish, and before i did some upgrades to the pc it reached 83 (ik thats bad and thats why i upgraded it) and it still didnt have issues, its most likely the psu (again) or the motherboard (again)

For Ridgeside (RSV) users. I had a issue when I downloaded this mod because I also use a freeze time cheat. I found out that I cant freeze time in RSV because it does not spawn items in the forest (monsters, rocks, artifacts...etc.). Now when I enter on a new day and made sure I did not freeze time, I entered the forest and now monsters are spawning but no items are on the ground....nothing except forage items. Deleting the mod and reinstalling did not fix this issue. Any idea what I can do as I need the artifacts from this area to complete quest. Thanks
