Hey there peeps. Having unrelenting issues trying to play multiplayer on switch :/ getting the 2618-0502 switch error on my end and "server closed " on the opposite side. Have verified Nat types, version #, everything except port forwarding because we can't do that at our living areas.

Steps you can do on switch: restart switch, restart game, restart router, reinstall game, load save in local co-op then open it to online co-op sometimes fixes stuff

Trying the local trick now, @worthy lake . The other weird part is the wiki troubleshoot page says Switch doesn't have "Online" for the server mode but mine does sometimes.

The trick you mentioned got my world to show on their join list but it showed 2 of the same and they're still unable.

This one says if you can revert to the previous day it can fix it. And by that it means if you got the card yesterday, if it's been more than one day that doesn't work

idk if this was addressed at some point in here, but my stardew wont launch. It shows up in task managaer, but it doesnt pop up at all no matter how long i wait. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling it through steam, reinstalling SMAPI and uninstalling it, deleting the startpref folder, deleting its cache, etc and it still does the same thing. Its not my launch preferences bc i made sure to set that back to being empty in steam, and I deleted any saves I had that were modded in my saves folder

Tree might be too close to the boulder for the game to differentiate the hit box on mobile. There might be an option in settings to "show tool hitbox" or something along those lines to see where the tool is going to hit.

hihi this is a bit of a very specific situation but essentially me and my s/o started a coop world with me hosting it. however he was originally playing the game with his friends game through family sharing on one of his accts (he has two steam accts that he uses). he recently bought stardew valley on his other acct bc thats the acct that he uses more but when he tries to join the world it says the character belongs to a diff player. is there a way we could transfer the character data that he was using in our coop world to the new acct?

so.. i have modded stardew valley on my steam account (family shared) from my brother.

whenever my brother plays another gane i always logged out from the game within 5 minute.

i play stardew valley modded with my friend and when i realize i can just start stardew valley without steam client active from stardewmoddingapi.exe

so.. yeah i am planning to play stardew valley with my friend by online LAN which require port forwarded 24642

the problem is that my isp don't allow port forward so i use application called playit.gg that somehow open specific port for my pc to connect

this is an example playit.gg ip that they give to my pc (it is set to forward port 24642) :
decrease-boots.at.playit.gg:16822

but my friend cannot connect to it somehow and there's a red error on the SMAPI console

B) you can connect via steam, if that doesn't work other people other have piracy or stardew doesn't like your internet

Anyone is having issues playing SDV on 64-bits? i'am experiencing random audio and fps stuttering, but the game plays normally at 32-bits, i used to play SDV back in the day and that never happened to me, i dont think is a pc issue because i can run heavy games but this is beeing really annoying.

Another way you can fix your files is reinstalling the game, if that doesn't work, open the stardew folder, delete everything in it then verify, and if it then works then go see #archived-modded-support for help with installing mods

Hello, I have finished Stardew Valley at 100% in solo, meaning I should have reached Perfection. However the cutscene didn't trigger, the boulder didn't disappear, and no message from the game either.

I have checked Qi's perfection tracker, as well as a mod I have installed. They both show they that I have 100'd the game.
I also tried to launch the game without any mods, but the results are the same.

Running on a Steam Deck over here. A fresh stock install, the game uses about 6 watts according to the Deck's overlay. But if I do a plain install of SMAPI (no other mods), the power draw jumps to 20 watts. Which means my battery life for a full charge goes from 8 hours to 1.5 hours. Any idea why SMAPI would take so much more power? Again no other mods installed. Tested both on a brand new save.

so uh... i put my game in fullscreen, and evidently the resolution is too high, which was never an issue in the past, but now it's showing a quarter of my game as the full screen and i can't do anything lol.

If your resolution is messed up try deleting startup_preferences This can be found on Windows at %appdata% > Stardew Valley > it's in that folder, or C:\Users\Yourwindowsnamehere\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley or for Mac can be found at ~/.config/StardewValley To get here you'll want to go to your desktop, then in the menu bar select Go -> Go to Folder...

i did that, and had no choice but to alt f4 so i lost all my progress which sucks lol

i go back in and it's in windowed borderless, but i can't change the resolution without putting it in fullscreen. it's fine in borderless, but i liked how before, i could put it at a higher resolution and it was essentially zoomed out. i could see more of the map on my screen

Thank you for replying... i did visit Robin but when i clicked the farm properties, there was no horse barn as an option to move. The same for the greenhouse. I did not see them in the list of buildings showing at Robin's. EDIT - figured it out... i thought you had to click the building that you purchased to change that particular building, i didn't realize you could choose ANY building you purchased when you clicked the modify building button 🙂

Yes, if for some reason your SDV in pc is still in 1.4, you can transfer your saves. But the chances of that happening is unlikely, so it's a hard no SDVpuffersquee

I once tried to move the shipping bin through Robin's, and that for some reason caused it to duplicate permanently. Starting a new save does not fix it.
Is there a way to completely reinstall the game when playing on Steam? Like start completely fresh? I've tried reinstalling normally, but the glitch persists.

I was playing earlier and i think i had an issue with my wifi, and on steam it said that it's not synced and it gave the option to retry sync but it was failing
I restarted my pc and it still said that but i tried opening the game anyway (idk how but my progress wasnt lost) and now it says up to date
But idk I'm kinda worried that when i play and progress tomorrow if I'll lose my progress or not

i went to coop and clicked on host and made a new world with 2 cabins and got the invite code for her but for some reason when she clicks on coop she does not see the option for put in an invite code at all

Crossplay is not currently possible and may never be possible on Stardew Valley. According to ConcernedApe the technical barriers are very high. And he would like to add it and may eventually look into it but as of now it is not possible.

Ello. Good Morning

Trying to fix a co-op issue in Stardew Valley. The version is 1.5.5 (If am right)
this might gonna be a bit complicated-
Me and my other 2 friends was about to play in a farm hosted by one of my friends. I joined the farm successfully in the first try (this means that there are now 2 players in the farm).

However. The other friend somehow keeps getting 'Connection Failed' when trying to join. He even tried to switch ISPs and he still cant join for some reason. Reinstalling the game also didnt work.

The farm has no-mods and have 3 houses (which should be enough). Tried plenty of fixes from the internet and it didnt seem to work

Any fix?

1 = Major
5 = Minor (where the new content arrives)

@whole crypt There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.

On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.
On GOG: From the game's page, click the settings icon > Manage installation > Configure... > then "compatibility" under the Beta channels dropdown.

fwiw, watering doesn't make a difference as for whether the crops wilt or not:

Crops must be watered every day for maximum growth. If unwatered for a day, a crop will not grow. Unwatered crops do not die, but they will not grow either.
