For a more proper explanation (much love skell) there is a bug with monogame (the new engine Stardew uses) where it won't like certain GPUs/drivers, someone could have the exact same system as you and it would work fine, people have been searching for hours to try and find anything but no fix. (Devs have been looking for a month now) It may eventually be fixed but it's such a hassle to track down that it's nearly impossible

My game suddenly started crashing today. It's happened 3 times, and every time it's happened during the same in-game day (Winter 7, year 1). I run around doing stuff and suddenly I crash to desktop. Once it happened in the mines, the second time on my farm and the third in the quarry mine.. :/ Not sure what's causing this but it's pretty annoying because it's stopping me from progressing. I play on PC (steam), in case that helps!

On PC Stardew Valley uses GOG servers, https://www.gog.com/ More info about GOG here. So if these servers go down, then multiplayer on PC will go down in its entirety on PC. Even if you have the Steam version it still uses GOG servers. A good indication that they are down is if you see a spike on the Down Detector site https://downdetector.com/status/gog-com/

long story short my save has been reverted to year 1 and smapi backups dont seem to have the latest save anymore and steam cloud neither
the latest save goes back to dec 6 2021

So unfortunately looks like you're out of luck in this case. You can just run the SMAPI installer again (no need to uninstall first) to re-add the save backup mod, so at least you'll be covered if it happens again.

If you mean joining the same world on the same pc, you can launch stardew using steam once and then go to the folder and run smapi to have multiple instances of stardew open. I could be wrong though

i have this issue where i load up my save file and start playing then after 5 minutes or so the audio gets distorted and it happens every time

but what makes it even weirder is that it gets fixed for a few minutes if i right click with a sword equipped but then it goes back to being distorted

I can at least confirm I had awful audio issues in the beta of 1.5.6, something similar to what you said. Turns out the BIOs of my motherboard was the oldest possible version, the one from the very release of it. Updated that, and no problems since.

I'm not recommending you do that, but it's an avenue to remember in the future for you, maybe!

You'd upload the file as you would any other, I'm not 100% sure how iphone's work so I'm going off my android knowledge, but you should be able to go to drive or something similar, hit upload file and navigate your way to the save files

@buoyant shoal Crossplay is not currently possible and may never be possible on Stardew Valley. According to ConcernedApe the technical barriers are very high. And he would like to add it and may eventually look into it but as of now it is not possible.

Hello! First time posting in this discord, so I'm a bit nervous. I'm hoping someone could help me resolve a stuttering issue I've been having while playing Stardew.
At first, I thought it was an issue with Smapi because I was reading on some forums that Smapi is a cause for stuttering, but I uninstalled Smapi and changed the launch option in steam back to normal (removed the StardewModdingAPI.exe" %command% part) and the stuttering still occurs when I launch through steam. It does seem to happen less frequently and less apparently, but the stutters definitely still happen.
However, and I'm not sure why this would be the case as I don't know anything about computers, when I launch Stardew from my file explorer, I experience no stutters at all.
I believe I noticed the stutters for the first time around early Fall of last year.
I'm confident that the problem is unrelated to my computer specs and internet. Maybe it's related to a patch, but I doubt it because I'm sure more people would have the same issue...
Also, when I launch the game with and without Smapi installed through steam, the stuttering occurs in singleplayer and multiplayer alike.
If this issue would better be helped in the #archived-modded-support channel, let me know!

hi you have to go into the community center and interact with the golden scroll. The next day it will trigger the meet the wizard quest. Only then you would be able to see the progress for the community center

I've been trying to play co-op with my friends, but they constantly and randomly lose connection and timeout, which is very frustrating. This only happens with stardew and not any other peer to peer game. Any clue what I can do to try and diagnose the problem or fix it? They're able to connect most of the time but normally timeout within anywhere from a few to 20 minutes.

My brother, who lives in the same house as me, and is hardwired into the same exact router as me, still times out.

Saves on consoles cannot be transferred to other consoles, PC, or mobile. The consoles don't allow access to them so you can't grab them and move them. Consoles of the same type (xbox > xbox, playstation > playstation, switch > switch) will transfer through cloud saves.
