@copper hollow hi! sorry for the ping, BunnyNarwhal is having issues launching the game on a new computer, they’ve already tried reinstalling .NET framework and XNA framework twice, they ran it with SMAPI and this was the error they got. I’ve tried googling it but couldn’t find anything particularly useful, would you mind taking a look?

@heady bear It looks like your XNA Framework install is corrupted. Can you open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32, fully delete all the folders that start with Microsoft.Xna, then reinstall XNA Framework one more time?

@quick zephyr The good news is your save works fine for me. If your folder is actually named stardew, renaming it to wisteria_288906341 should fix it. (The folder needs to match the exact save name.)

@heady bear If all else fails, you could update to Stardew Valley 1.5.5 beta: https://www.patreon.com/posts/55035968. It uses MonoGame instead of XNA Framework, so it won't be affected by any XNA issues.

Seems it's on your desktop, so it's not where the game will find it. Try this:

1. Press the ⊞ Windows + R keys. That should open a 'run' box.
2. Paste this exact text (including the %) and click "OK":

%appdata%\StardewValley\Saves

3. That should open a folder. Move your wisteria_288906341 folder into that folder.

(Fixed in DMs! The SaveGameInfo was corrupted, so we restored the previous version.)

Okay so not sure if this is the right chat for this but I just got the PC version and I'm trying to figure out the keys and stuff and I've mostly changed them to what's comfortable except I'm not sure how to quickly switch between tools on the toolbar without having to press each number individually. (The reason why this is an issue is because I have issues with my hands and using controllers is a lot less painful than splaying my hands across the keyboard at all times) I'm used to playing on my Switch so for an hour now I've been trying to sync my joy-cons so that they'd connect with steam but that doesn't seem to be working at all

hey i just killed a serpent in sc and it dropped a battery pack (not on droplist on wiki) been trying to farm sc monsters for red cabbage seeds. done it for like 2 months in game with no luck. Wondering if theres a way to check game files incase theres something wrong with em rn

TLDR: Battery packs are dropping from serpents, and possibly have replaced other drops, I've not found anything on the internet/reddit/this discord saying anything about serpents dropping battery packs. I'd look into it further but I can't or don't know how to access the files with drop rates ect

Lookup Anything shows the actual drop chance based on the current data (accounting things like the increase after reaching the bottom of the mines).

Hold on, I'll open the game code to see how that drop is decided. In the meantime can you do this?

1. Exit the game.
2. In your Mods folder, open Mods/LookupAnything/config.json in a text editor (Notepad is fine).
3. Set the ShowDataMiningFields to true.
4. Launch the game and get a battery pack drop.
5. Post a screenshot of the lookup for that item.

Looking at the game code, Red Cabbage Seeds are dynamic 'extra drops' (i.e. hardcoded in a way that mods like Lookup Anything can't access). They're dropped by...

• Purple (R>150 G>180 G<50) slime, with a 25% or 50% chance (depending on the generation), if it hasn't dropped any other extra drops instead.
• Mummies and serpents with a tiny 0.2% chance.

Yep. Seems to be a normal battery pack, not an error item or anything.

Are you in the Skull Caverns? If so seems like battery packs are a normal drop, they're added by the Skull Caverns itself (separately from the normal monster drops).

I mean, as a comparison though I doubt it's the same situation, back when the whole mummified bat? drop thing was occurring on switch it felt like a gamble who had and didn't have that problem

It's worth noting that slime colors are randomized; so a slime might look purplish but still be under the RGB thresholds for that specific drop. The slime one also depends on not matching any of the other extra drops, which lowers the chance.

Otherwise I don't see any reason they wouldn't drop, unless you're just having an extraordinarily unlucky run.

Hi guys! I have a question.
I have been playing Stardew for a long time now and never had any issues with people joining my game.

Now my boyfriend got a Xbox and tried to join my save file (also on Xbox). Everytime that he is loading it, it kicks him out after a few seconds.

We tried to test our connections, restart the game, started from Co-op. But nothing seems to work. Does someone know a solution to this?

1. uninstall XNA Framework;
2. open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32;
3. fully delete all the folders that start with Microsoft.Xna;

hello i just currently found a bug, here's how it went

me and my friend are in co-op steam remote play he enters pieres triggering the cutscene for the joja (50% off)

whilst im also in a cutscene before he triggered pieres (wizard tower cutscene)

after his cutscene is over (piere)

i finish mine and it replayes the pieres cutscene on my screen which after finishing puts me outside the map in the wizard tower

I know you’ve been waiting for the 1.5 update for Stardew Valley on mobile. It's underway but still a while off. I had to get someone new to port the 1.5 update to mobile versions of the game. This added some time but was necessary. I appreciate your trust and patience!

The sounds like the save game info wasn't properly replaced

You take the one that says SaveGameInfo_old remove the _old and replace the current one with it

Ok, you have the save backup smapi component. This automatically backs up your saves to a zip folder in the main stardew valley folder

Go back from the mods folder and look for a zip named save-backups

Hi everyone.

So, I uninstalled SDV from Steam a while ago due to no interest in playing it anymore. However, I've decided to come back to it as it is a very light-hearted game that is more appropriate for me than other more intense and hostile games.

So, SMAPI was still enabled. I've now disabled SMAPI, downloaded the latest edition and reinstalled SMAPI.

I've gone to my SDV folder and in it is a Mods sub-folder, Contents, and Contents (Unpacked) folder. I saved the SMAPI into the SDV folder.

Have I done everything correctly? 🙂

Have you considered the fact that foraging isn't the only way to increase the skill?

Cutting down trees/stumps also gives xp, more than actually foraging

Do devs have the ability to revoke a license on a certain platform and then give it back on another? Essentially transferring ownership of the game from a console's account for example to a steam account.

hi, can anybody help me? one day i decided to play my stardew valley from another computer, and played for a day. when i got back to my original computer the in-game day did not update. i did not think too much of it and continued playing for 10 in-game days.

however, today i opened stardew from my other computer. it will still on the day i left off of. i tried to sync it with my original computer, but nothing seemed to work. then, i went back to my original computer, only to find that it has reverted back 10 in-game days. is there a way to recover my save on my original computer?

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I've tried everything to fix multiplayer but there I still can't input an invite code or get an invite code when I host a game, I've noticed that this was a common problem with macs (I'm on a mac) but apparently it was resolved with an update. My game is still not working though, any suggestions?

Saves on consoles cannot be transferred to other consoles, PC, or mobile. The consoles don't allow access to them so you can't grab them and move them. Consoles of the same type (xbox > xbox, playstation > playstation, switch > switch) will transfer through cloud saves.

I had the Singing Stone in that tile, now it's gone.
