Does anyone have any experience at changing which audio output the game goes through on Linux? It defaults to speakers, but if I want it through headphones I can't change it in PulseAudio. (I have searched and found an identical unanswered question in this area from 2019.)

Uhh, I believe it's the same as windows/mac but you can't actually change audio outputs in game or while the game is running

Okay, a bit more digging, now that you've set me on the right track -- I think what you're saying is that Linux isn't any different from Windows or Mac in that selecting audio outputs is broken for vanilla SDV on every operating system. Linux has the 64 bit version in which windows and mac doesn't. However I believe anyway it is in that sense and that you can't change audio devices

I don't know if anyone here can help me. SDV keeps not being able to read my savegame, I have rolled back a day several times. The older save it can read, but not the new. And then I play again and again it can't read. Quite frustrating. Since the older save SMAPI has been updated, some mods as well. In the same period it happened that suddenly NO savegames what so ever could be read, turned out that a game file went missing. I copied back in from a backup and saves could be read again. I did a verify/repair through GOG Galaxy and the problem returned (and NPCGiftTastes.xnb went missing). I copied from the backup again, but now I have the problem with this particular save again (LOG https://smapi.io/log/90c0aec3c2f44cf89c9e1278c813a115 ). I don't know what to do.

If you go to Robin's and destroy that person's cabin it will remove their character (and all their progress and anything in that cabin/their inventory) from your save, which will free up a slot. Just be sure it's not someone that's going to be playing again and check the cabin in case you want to take anything out of it first

Hmm. This usually is a case of bad internet. Stardew is very finicky over bad internet even to the point where it may be "good" in terms but Stardew still won't like it. Roughly speaking it seems to be fine at 25mbps

heyo, got the game a week or so ago and i'm loving it, but there are some weird issues with the resolution

i own a 4k monitor, and i get black bars and smaller textures in some areas

in the sauna here i get a black bar no matter the resolution, and it only goes away when i zoom in far

it also changes in size even after i tweak the resolution

current graphics settings, if that helps

anyone else with a 4k monitor that has these issues?

Is there a channel that adresses issues with frame drops on the farm map? We are on our first winter season and it looks like it mostly happened in autumn or summer whenever there are leaves or pollen flying. We play local multiplayer mode with split screen using Steam on Windows 10.

Hey! My SO and mine’s game has seemingly a glitch where the mine is stuck in hard mode after attempting to complete the Qi challenge for it. We did not complete it, but now we can access all the way down, the statue to toggle modes is on, but no matter what we do we can’t get the mine back to normal. I’ve seen threads dating back a few months about this issue but no solution other than to go in and edit the save file. Has anyone figured out a fix other than that?

What does the text box say when you speak to Gunther? It should say like “donate to museum” if you have something in your inventory to donate. Then after selecting that, it should show your inventory. You then click the artifact and move it to where you want it displayed.

Hi there, I'm experiencing some troubles I've run into before, I've tried everything I did before but this time Nothing is working...

So upon start up my computer will drop its own resolution down to something really small probably 800 x 600 I don't know for sure though, but before the game would pop up in the usual full screen 1366 x 768 resolution. Now it still shrinks to 800 x 600 but then the game opens in probably I'd say 1080 x 720 and my mouse is trapped in the top left corner until I open task manager, then my mouse moves across the screen fine. But because the mouse is trapped in the top left while using stardew I can't start a game or close the app. I've looked through the startup_prefrence file and says it should be opening in 1366 x 768 I tried opening it with windowedboarderless and the same thing happened up until the latest windows update it didn't do the weird scale down thing and it definitely wasn't locking my mouse. I genuinely don't worry about the resolution, though it's annoying I can adapt I just want to get to a point where I can play my game

hey guys! my game keeps crashing on just one multiplayer farm (this issue doesn't happen on others). i'm not the host of the farm.
there's this weird empty slot in my inventory that causes my game to freeze whenever i run my mouse over it, and i end up just having to force quit it. i can't get rid of it by dragging it to the trash or replacing it with another item. i’ve also verified the game file integrity
i use some smapi mods and attached the error log... i hope it helps, since it's kinda frustrating

Hello been farming between levels 65-68 of the mines, and for some reason level 68 became the quarry mines (the asthetics and enemies) every time I get there

thats normal, its random and doesnt specifically have to be level 68 but you will encounter those levels every now and then

I suppose so hey @sinful sparrow Mac Master, got an odd problem here not entirely stardew related. But TLDR all their games are grayed out as if they are unavailable for platform (including stardew) and so far we have tried forcing steam to update through switching to beta and computer restart.

The specific switch you can access its files through the computer for a few seconds during boot. It was fixed on every switch after that

My game ran fine the other seasons but now in winter I can play 1 day or 1 1/2 at best before the game just crashes.
