hey i posted something here about a week ago and i still cant find a solution, i bought stardew valley for my friend 1-2 weeks ago and his game crashes as soon as he boots it up, hes never opened the game before prior to this, as soon as it was bought it started doing this and has not changed. anyone have any ideas as to what i can do? we've tried starting the exe, changing volume settings, reinstalling (multiple times) and theres still 2 terabytes of space left on his computer, i cannot find any solutions online

You can try hamachi. However do note that if someone knows what they are doing they can access all your PC files as it's a feature of hamachi. I only suggest it if you are playing with irl friends

I am playing stardew valley on a mac. I played with some friends multiples times but since yesterday I can’t host or reach any games.
When I host a game, I do not have the “invite a friend” button or the code to send to my friends
And when my friends invite me by stream it doesn’t work. Last but not least, when I go on the coop button I only can chose the Lan one, I can’t enter the code to play online.

I did a lot of research on internet, I delete et download back steam and stardew valley, I check my wifi, my username, my updates…

I don’t have any other idea

yes, but it's very hacky and last i heard it softlocks certain parts of the game

what you could do is send the save to your friend and let them take over your character, if you do that you can change your names at the shrine in the wizard's basement so you aren't playing as each other

Hi! I don't know if you've figured out how to find your IP yet or not, but I'm on Mac too and had some trouble figuring it out when I tried to play with my brother also. If you go to 'Systems Preferences' and double click 'Network', it will be right underneath where it says "Turn Wi-Fi Off/On". It'll say "Wi-Fi is connected to <<You're internet name>> and has the IP address <<Your IP address>>. Then you can just copy and paste that into the same spot as before and the farm name and your sister's character should pop up!! Hope this helped!

Has anyone experienced issues when trying to create a new save on the Switch?? My friend who lives on the other side of the state is having trouble. She said she clicked ok when she was finished creating her character and then a blue screen popped up with the music repeating itself not the usual beginning of the game

But if it's anything to go by multiplayer in general has been screwy for 5 months due to steam xP

apparently it's actually due to GOG, since sdv uses GOG servers

CA's post says it's a GOG problem and he's communicating with them, so hopefully there'll be a fix soon. it also affects all XNA based games so probably there's pressure on them from terraria community too

Go to your options and at the bottom should be a button that says photo mode or screenshot mode or something like that

I think you have to be specifically on your farm as well unsure about that part but it makes sense

I believe that it can't grow due to the water reservoir but I may be wrong, everything I can find online shows that you don't plant in front of it

SWITCH: So I cant seem to find a mummified bat no matter how long I break stones and slay lava lurkers. I know there used to be a bug where it doesn't show up a while ago but I thought it was fixed.

hey guys I have a quick question: my game (i'm on a macbook) has a bug wherein I've gotten all 7 stardrops but it doesn't register in the code itself that I've gotten the ones from the mine and the museum completion, and I'm really trying to get perfection with my year 5 farm on vanilla before getting back into modding. I know that CA addressed in a thread (https://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/help-have-all-the-stardrops-but-game-says-im-missing-one.3746/) how to resolve the issue with the one for the mines/what to edit in the code, but I don't know how to register/edit the one missing for the museum. Could anyone help me out with this?

Yes I'm asking a question about the Mac networking issue, but it's more about the code behind it.
Does anyone know what's actually caused the issue with Stardew networking on Mac? It being triggered by the update, Stardew being the only one I know effected, and only effecting Mac seems so specific and I'd love to know why it's happened.
The only thing I can imagine is that the netcode was using some long deprecated function that finally got chopped or something.

I did try to take a look through some of the networking code myself, but I don't have any experience with routing things through steam's servers, so it's a bigg task to try to comprehend it.

As far as I know you can’t throw them out anyways.
