Hi, I just joined after picking up stardew again after a while of not playing, and I've noticed (or rather re-noticed) an annoying bug. In my mailbox is a letter from George saying that he wants to give me some old seeds, but there are no seeds attached to the letter, since I can't take the non-existent seeds, I can't get rid of the mailbox icon flashing at me all day every day. I've googled for a good half hour and I can't find anyone else with this kind of issue, has anyone here experienced this before? And if so does anyone have any ideas on how to make the letter go away?

I also don't know if it's blocking me from seeing other mail, which would probably be a bit of an issue as far as progression is concerned

I was playing and after some time whenever i tried to launch the game it keept on crashing over and over. I was searchin on forums to fix this issue. Some dude said i have to backup the save files then reinstall the game, so i did. My save files are still in my phone but they don’t show up ingame.

I'm getting this thing where I'll be holding down a movement key, but my character will just...stop. Like I've let go of the key. And they won't resume moving until I hold down another key or I press the key again. The time it takes for them to stop moving varies from a second to over a minute. And sometimes, there'll be like a second delay after pressing a movement key before the character actually starts moving. Can that be caused by having too many things running in the background?

good morning everyone, hope this week as been well.

i have an issue with 64bit version of stardew valley. when i use my controller (steam controller) i have very bad input lag, wired or wireless when it was wireless i disconnected and reconnected and the input lag went away but then my hotbar would scroll automatically and i couldnt fix that. i would restart the game and the input lag would be there again. i tried all my usbs for the wireless dongle with same results. then i tried to use it wired and the same input lag is still there. with keyboard and mouse, no lag is present. it wouldnt be a problem if i was solo cause i would use the keyboard and mouse but i play split screen with my wife so she needs to use the controller. has anyone ran into this issue and found a fix? i have ran the standard 32bit version of stardew with no controller issue. it seems to only act up with 64 bit.

I have a ps4 controller in macos steam version and in multiplayer if the controller disconnects, the game crashes. It might happen in single player too, but have been playing multiplayer with family.

my controller battery died during the game and the next time it just disconnected because I put the controller down for a while to do some things that are easier with keyboard.

Is there a way of making the tile under my sprinkler appear to continue to be watered?
Even after Hoe-> Water->Deluxe Retaining Soil->Water->Place Sprinkler, the tile under the sprinkler appears dry after several days.
This seems counter-intuitive to me.

Playing single player on iOS, when opening the save file for the character to play all I got was a navy screen when it finished loading, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turning of and on (when I did this while I was at the navy screen it would cause me to be able to see the screen to the lower left of my character, but do nothing), reseting, ect., but nothing works. I didn't find any real triggers to it rather than just opening the save. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I've put about 1 and a half or so years (irl) into the save, so I don't really want to lose it.

So, I'm having an issue where I can't connect to multiplayer worlds or host ones that friends can connect to. I tried disabling my firewall and even reinstalling Stardew Valley onto an external hard drive but it still won't work. I'm not seeing the "Enter Invite Code" button, so according to the article it seems like an issue with Steam or my Steam account. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help! Thanks!

Probably not, IF you trust your friend with basically every single bit of information on your computer you could try hamachi. However it's not the best solution as if the person you are playing with wants to they could access a bunch of things

@novel kettle ```If your controller is not working for Stardew Valley on steam. Go to the top left of your steam client window, click on "Steam" > "settings" > "controller" > "general controller settings"> Another window will open up and make sure that for whatever controller you are using that the support box is checked. If you are not too sure what controller it is you can check them all and it won't do much! After that the controller provided it's plugged in or connected with bluetooth should pop up in that window and you will be good to go!

Want to play with two steam controllers? Do this: Due to how the steam controllers work they are a little funky but these bindings will allow two to work perfectly.

Hey, new discord member here but long term Stardew player. My husband and I used to play co-op and were really enjoying it, but suddenly his game started crashing upon loading up (shows white load up screen and crashes). So, I've been butting heads with this one all day - every time I try to sleep/save, I end up getting a blank black screen in the game window instead, with normal game sounds continuing on, rather than the save screen. I've updated every mod that I could find updates for, and I've tried shutting down the game, and Steam entirely, then restarting, to no avail. I'm desperately hoping this is fixable, as this is my main save, with an 8 year farm that I'd hate to lose. T_T

Hello...it seems it is a well-known bug that my boyfriend and I are having. We played our save on local just fine until I had to go out of town and we did online until I got back. However, the switch wifi turns off when I try to host locally now, so using local is impossible and shitty online mp is the only way. Is there any news on this particular bug yet?

Hey! Maybe it would get fixed by reinstalling the game? Make sure that your data is saved tho, I don't know (or rather don't think) that your data gets safed in the steam cloud. If it does, you don't have to save it but if it doesn't make sure to make a backup.

Hey all! Looking for some insight, been playing multiplayer on ps4 with the other half for a while now - into our 5th year!! But really struggling with the museum completion... Before doing this, make a backup of your save file.
What to do:
Find the file of your save.
(To do it, press Windows + R to show a 'run' dialogue box and the paste this exact text: %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves
Then locate your save file and open it with notepad.
Then search (Ctrl+F) for "bundledata".
Under it there will be the definitions of the bundles (and the number of slots of it).
It may be hard to visualize the different lines, but they are like:
"Room/16</string></key><value><string>Winter Foraging/O 498 30/412 1 0 414 1 0 416 1 0 418 1 0/6/6</string></value></item><item><key><string>Crafts"
I put in bold and underline the information that you will have to change, in the line above. It`s the 0/6/6.
(if you reduce the size of the window of the notepad it gets easier to visualize)
So, now, you have to create a new character in the game, a new save, that will come with the original number of slots and names of the bundles.
After creating it, open the save file of the new save and search for that same line there.
All you will have to do now is to copy the number of the new save and replace what is on the old save file, in the lines of the specific bundles that are having bugs.
Usually in the new saves, there are only two number and one bar.
Like, instead of 0/6/6, it will probably be like 0/6.
After replacing it, save, close and open the game.
Everything will be normal again 🙂
Just it.
In my case I had to do it in the Winter Foraging and in two of Fishing, on Cook and Field Research and they are all working now.
After doing it, I started to play and completed the bundle of Winter Foraging, and it was the last of the room left.
I could get the reward normally, the cutscene happened normally and the bridge was reconstructed, everything normal.
(You can find the code from the save in a bundle with no problem and paste it into this existing save)

Hello, I downloaded Stardew Valley Expanded along with a few mods which I used in 1.4 and it seems that the game runs muuuch slower when I move my mouse. Hello everyone! I'm trying to play online with a friend of mine from across the country. I am playing on Windows and they are playing on a Mac. Sometimes when we try to play together, they don't have the option to put in an invite code, and when they host a game it does not give them an invite code. If they host, it still says they are hosting a multiplayer game. I can see them online on Steam and it says they are playing Stardew Valley. Using the steam interface to invite each other doesn't lead to anywhere, we get the invites and it boots up the game but it doesn't join into the session.

So im having an issue with my game. I recently downloaded mods, everything working great. i removed mods to play a co op game with my friends and when i went to put the mods back in my game will no longer launch. So, I know this won't fix the issue for everyone, but I tried opening Stardew through Steam on Parallels on my Mac and the multiplayer appears to be working (invite codes accessible, enter invite code option available). It was also able to access my multiplayer game files without me doing anything special. Looks like using a virtual machine may work for the time being.

In addition to what aerysia said, (only if you are playing with a trusted friend) you can use Hamachi or a similar application to play LAN Stardew together. It’s what me and my girlfriend did and it worked great.

Hi, I'm having a problem with multiplayer where the option to enter a join code doesn't appear in my game. If I host, there is also no option to generate a join code. The last steam update broke mac mp. Steam has to fix it, no eta, you can use hamachi to get around it however be warned if the other people know what they are doing they can access all the files on your PC. I only suggest it with people you fully trust.
