From a PC perspective (you'll get a very similar experience on ps5) it's very pleasant! it splits the screen vertically so you each have two nice halves of the screen.

PEGI eventually found out, and it was a little bit of a fiasco, we had to change the age rating retroactively which is not ideal

on some platforms, the age rating is like, a meta-data thing that can easily be changed. On Playstation, though, it's part of the actual build of the game, so we had to completely resubmit the game as a new product on the Playstation store

after updating on switch i got a glitch where the fishing exclaimation mark appears off to the right of my character, and in some cutscenes the speech bubbles were off too

and when donating to the museum the grid was off

its not a big deal i just wanted to report that its happening

Question about local multiplayer. My fiancé and I started a brand new game. When I go back to play by myself it’ll pick up where we left off. But she cannot. She has to start a brand new farm. So the question is, can my fiancé play by herself with her progress on our farm?

No, you share the same save file. You either keep playing and advance the clock, or you only play together.
Alternatively, you duplicate the save, but you can't "join" your progress back together.

And for clarity's sake. With sharing I mean that there's one person who hosts, who has the save file, and the other joins that save. They don't have their own save, it's all saved by the host.

Really strange, it kicks the host out with a pop up saying 'please reconnect your controller' - but the host can't interact. The controller -is- still connected. The guest remains connected.

Hey, I´ve written an email to the stardew valley technical support about 2 weeks ago and haven´t received an answer yet. So I now have 2 problems with my account (PC Steam): 1) Koop doesn´t work reliably. It ocasionally works after changing my steam account name but only on a macbook and not on my computer. Is there any known solution to this problem?
2) The Savegame resets itself sometimes one or two ingame seasons. It would be really nice if someone could help me, because I really love the game, but it´s frustrating that I can´t reliably play with my friends or have to play every season over and over again.

Hi, multiplayer PC 1.5 hasn't worked for my brother and I for a couple weeks now. One of us either never has the option to join by invite code, or the invite code is missing in the game when hosting. Even when steam is set to online and not invisible. Also the invite friend button is either gone, or if it's there, you can't click on it and it doesn't work. Thank you.

@flat cosmos got the same problem with the physical version i imported from Japan... I deleted the game from my switch and after I put in the cartridge again it started to update but only to the 1.4.4 update. it wont update to 1.5. guess we have to wait a bit longer.

On the Switch version, when playing CO-OP (splitscreen and online), I am getting intermittent pausing/freezing that lasts 2-5 seconds, multiple times per in-game day. It is happening for both players, often at different times. At first I thought it was an online issue, but it is also happening when I play splitscreen 2 player. Is there a workaround for this or is this issue known? I've seen many mentions of it on Reddit. I have asked the dev about it, without response.

the files with _old are the previous day! in case your save file got corrupted or you wanted to undo a mistake, you could go back to the previous day by removing or renaming the Name_numbers and SaveGameInfo files, and then removing _old from the other two files

Hey guys, in my multiplayer game the statue of perfection got destroyed so i tried using the SVEditor to get it back but for some reason the game now always crashes when I try to start the savefile. Any other savefile is loadable and the backup of it doesnt change anything :/ I have the error textfile if that helps further :)

it's not recommended to use save editors, they're often outdated and can break your game. you should try going back to the previous day instead. an easy way to get the statue back without breaking your save would be to download SMAPI, get the mod CJB Item Spawner, and spawn one by pressing "i" and searching for it. you can then uninstall SMAPI and the mod with no issues and the statue will stay

problem is that we dont know when it got destroyed ^^ were at "middle" of spring year 3 but i cant even start the savefile anymore. Would be ok to not have the statue if i can atleast play on the savefile with my friends still

It starts off as light blue when you're on the surface and darkens to deep blue as you dive. Also you can see the background ocean through it.

For the multiplayer problem, theres currently thousands of people having problem over steam connecting, the game cant seem to connect and steam has p2p failures, they made an update yesterday, but it still wasnt working fine

I'm sad to admit I have no experience with the game on consoles. Seeing it doesn't use Steam's matchmaking and that can't be the issue.
I'd try following the standard troubleshooting of network issues. Like checking if the wifi signal is strong enough, see if something else might be blocking your connection, etc.
