could you have accidentally deleted the save? sometimes if you load up SDV and tab out, your clicks still register on the SDV menu, and you can end up clicking the wrong thing and deleting a save that way

My friends and I play multiplayer and whenever we enter the skull cavern one or two players would lag behind (mainly time wise, my clock would say 9:50 and theirs would be 20 minutes behind), and items take time to be picked up. Has anyone else had this issue before?

That tasks start on Monday. If they last a week and you accept it later in the week, you will have less time. The only exception are the ones that last less than a week.

Game worked fine with all mods earlier. Game updated mods are still showing no errors but now we can't seem to move past one day without it black screening at save point. None of our Smapis are showing errors and mods worked perfect with no issues. is this a bug with the new update from today?

Quick question, is it possible to play co op on the same switch? Trying to get my kid in the game and it does not seem to work. I have a cabin for her, I loaded the game in co op local mode. When attempting to connect her joycons to the game, it just disconnects mine and switches to her having control of my game rather then letting her select her character. Can anybody help? Did I maybe miss a step?

Hello good day,
I'm having a problem with my stardew valley, where the game isn't reading my steam cloud saves as much as the physical saves in the game folders.
When I enter the game it says that I have no save to enter, but when I check my folders the saves appear, and when I enter another PC everything appears normal.

Has anyone had an issue with their cat/dog in game? I got my cat the normal time within the first few days of the game... then while I was at the start of winter toward the end of my first year I got the cutscene from Marnie to adopt a cat again. So I did. Then i had 2 cats that would wander around or glitch into each other on the mat outside. NOW it’s happened a 3rd time and I have 3 cats now lol it’s not effecting the rest of my farm but I’d really not like to have 50 cats running around 😅 any ideas on how to fix it or what could be causing the problem?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I've been searching EVERYWHERE and can't find anything on this.
Is there anyway to increase the inventory number font size (ie: how much wood you have) on the PC version like the mobile version? A setting I'm missing? (I already know about UI scaling, it isn't enough) Or any other work around that anyone may know about? My eyesight is horrible and I literally have to get up and squint to see how much of an item I have.

ok there is a little bug with using pc with a controller, when the mouse hides itself and is too close to the avatar it messes up the hit box, it'll show a different box then what going to be hit this only happens when the hidden mouse courser has tile lit up but the controller doesn't use the mouse for the tile location

They would be very suited to help with this in #archived-modded-support but as a pretense I think in order to do this you have to mod your switch (and I'm not really sure what that entails besides you may get banned from playing any switch online game)

The DS4WINDOWS can read the ps4 controller as an xbox controller and as bluetooth

First connect it regularly in settings even when the ps4 controller light is still off.
Then open DS4WINDOWS (if you download it) and you should see that window, it says no controller connected but if you play around with the start/stop button on the bottom right corner of the window, the controller connects.

If it worked, don't minimize the ds4window, for some reason it stops working properly if you minimize it.

I bought a CSR bluetooth receiver for $5, comes with drivers. That is how my PC supports bluetooth, and receives bluetooth signals. You could do that too. It's really cheap and easy.

I don't think there is a PC that just "supports bluetooth". Until 2010 there were no PC's that even supported Wi-Fi. You had to buy a Wi-Fi receiver to connect to Wi-Fi. Now you no longer need a Wi-Fi receiver, most motherboards have Wi-Fi receivers inbuilt.

Hi, I just got the game. Right off the bat I'm having some problems because of my... unique control set up?
Basically, due to an injury I have to work around my inability to use a physical keyboard, and part of the result of this is that when I click stuff on my virtual keyboard (e.g. movement keys), it also treats it like I'm trying to use item. Is there any way to disable the left mouse button option for the use item key bind? It's kind of a big deal since I can't walk and swing a tool at the same time, and leaving a space on my hotbar just so I can switch to it to move is not an ideal solution...

I'm sorry but the person before that replied to you is incorrect. fertilizers that increase quality (ie basic fertilizer, quality fertilizer, and deluxe fertilizer) can be placed after planting but must be placed before the seed sprouts. speed-gro and retaining soil fertilizers can be placed any time before or after planting however they are not retroactive, they will only decrease the remaining growth time. tree fertilizer must be used after planting. this was updated in version 1.4

I have a thing or two in my mind.
As lag is happening practically randomly, but fairly often the big bad is likely the GC. Only way to avoid the GC is to allocate more memory, which I don't think you can manually do. More RAM so the GC hits less often might also help, but not much in my personal experiences. The only thing that I can imagine could help is by raising the priority of SV in the Task Manager so when the GC hits, it'll get priority.
Alternatively; and this is me mostly reaching, you could try installing smapi, because I'm sure it has improvements to the game.

you can see my cpu 0 spike to 100% every time i tab into the game, and I think the only reason I'm not experiencing lag is because of my cpu boosting to like 4,6 GHz

I was just testing event ids to try and get the rusty key event (ID 66 apparently) to trigger. I used the event ID list pinned in #making-mods-general and when I ran the command, it said the event didn't exist. I was able to successfully trigger other events (both ones that I had previously seen and ones I hadn't).

Anyways, somehow when i was playing multiplayer on pc i guess i did something wrong and caused each level up in foraging fishing etc. to show up every day after that and im confused since it should only show the level up screen that one night, this happened on both vanilla and with mods so im not sure whats the issue

i'm guessing the cause might be an overactive antivirus though--try checking your antivirus's quarantine and see if anything is in there, and add that path you just copied to your exceptions

it sounds like it's gone then :( make sure your antivirus has that folder and your game folder whitelisted and double check that you're not running two antiviruses at once--sometimes windows defender likes to turn itself back on, so if you're using another antivirus double check windows defender too
