up to you - I just do that so I can visually see where my build points are at day or night. Can build 3 or 4 in - I just remove torch and drop down campfire but its up to you depending on if you have a large storage area or a small one - if large build 4 in instead of 3 and you'll cover it - the actualk range of the ring is slightly larger than the heavy marker.

Another thing too is if you want to build way up on cliff like I did, then on your campfire marker just stacks a bunch of foundations straight up to extend range up as well.

but for me i spent over 20 hours in the game now with well over 20-30 crashes and now since sea combat is pointless as i cannot board ships to get money and bonus resources i given up until the game is patched and crashes fixed there is no point as i cant afford anything from the vendors my ship is still tier 1 i cant really upgrade my boats equipments or my own as the special resources costs money but i cant get money easily as i cannot board enemy ships

so trying to continue playing the game is atm a waste of time trying as you spend the time and effort getting enemy ships low your ship takes damage and the second you jump on the enemy ship the game freezes then crashes and when you load back in youre alone in the middle of the ocean if the game didnt send you back to your bed with your ships damage still taken so you gotta waste resources repairing it for absolutly no gain and even more wasted time

The thing that unlocks the millstone is CORN. Which... half makes sense, half doesn't, since ya want and see funpowder before it.
...And make sure you clean it out before switching over. You don't want explosive burritos.

Blackbeard Brig can have up to 24 pounders on all guns, the Galleon I believe can't - looks like it can only have larger on a few ports, small on the others. And most likely a smaller ship than the Brig.

Has not been stated as such but thats assumption looking at the guns shown.

If so it would still not be as big a ship as a Brig. certainly will not have the cargo.

Regular trees Do Not re-spawn – But if you get seeds you can replant them Recommend replanting for decorations in a base layout. (Divi-Divi/Hardwood Tree Groves do respawn if you destroy the stumps). Ore and baskets (like what herbs are in) and bales (like gunpowder is in) – re-spawn every 6 hours. Pepper and other crops are on a 2 hour and mobs are also on a 2 hour timer.

Let me put it this way. From someone that has played Valheim, Enshrouded, Return to Moria and the pirate games. The Pirate theme feel I believe was captured very well. Some of the other games have pirates but don't feel like a pirate game. The building is amazing. Theres tons of blueprints to find and a large area to explore. It is definitely worth buying as you will for certain get your value out of it and then some. Will also be updates coming later on. Fun to play solo, even more fun with a friend or two.

Also unlike demo, every seed is completely different - lot of Various island shapes and sizes (procedural generation)** and the locations and loot vary for each player. you can't go right to a spot and loot the same thing every time. Even if two people playing and loot same chest - chances are its totally different drop.

you can - however I'm suggesting wrapping the structure you have with beams snapping to the outside in a ring, then go vertical down a ways to another ring- until the beams are connected to base - then you should be able to build up a little higher. Also if it says you at a cap - look at the pic I posted earlier - see how high the campfire is - I raised it to get more height. When done I'll shift the campfire to another spot to keep building. So the main reason is so that when you play with friends, anyone can log into the shared world without the host. Currently in local free coop, the access to the world is locked until the host who made the world initially is online. So if I’m playing with a buddy in a world he created, and he has to log off, I get kicked from the world. It actually sucks when we are progressing and exploring in a shared world, and I can’t keep grinding in it without him.

ngl would be really cool if building a star-fort shaped base actually would help in defending it from a pirate raid, though that would probably require some form of siege mechanics where they try to storm the walls or something but that just sounds unrealistic considering players can build whatever type of base they want

yeah they're called star forts, built in late medieval/early modern age when gunpowder weapons became a thing. they're designed to be very hard to crack from the outside with elevated walls, plenty of gun positions, only a few ways in and out.. and their biggest feature is because of the shape - there is no place you can attack the wall in a blind spot.. there will always be someone with a line of sight on siege attackers

and obv a small river running outside, making it impossible to cross by swimming in armor

Also most of the walls were made out of elevated earth, which is much better at absorbing the shock of cannon balls than regular old rock, most of the star forts you see with a rock curtain wall actually had that rock as a retaining wall rather than conventional wall

rocks also aren't that waterproof, earth and soil especially built by the Dutch are pretty good against the water issues of the country aswell

Because it has a very low market share, so developers don't make games for it, so people have to basically use a windows emulator to run games on it, on top of poorly optimized drivers for the hardware, creating a sub par experience. All combined with the fact that linux isn't standardized, so there can be all sorts of fun conflicts, and you have to know what you're doing at all times. So anyone other than a feral enthusiast isn't going to get a great experience out of it. So they don't use it. So it has a low market share. Which feeds back into the first line.
