This is for those unfamiliar with building mechanics and want to build using base game without any modding. If you want to build super high up there's a number of things available - beams are a big deal for support and layouts. Using just the Base Stone block as it is 1 stone and can stretch. Using the beams and the Stone base you can get super high structures easily. Marking a support grid from the beams and then filling with the stone. 6 beams high is the height of the stone pillar. This allows you to get a building platform for your structure - then you can cut away the excess carefully.

That is true. If i had to choose anything i want that would be added to the game it would probably be increased range of bonfire similar to tiers/biomes atleast. If i beat first boss it would increase 2x the range, then the second boss 3x range and go on

For Building A Circular Structure - Beams are key. Start with 2 beams - I prefer the large timber. Press Q and select the 15 degree angles. Then Proceed to rotate 1 adjustment and 2 blocks in a full circle till complete. Now you can build off the Beam ring to make a castle wall using pillars - and if you have a foundation support set up - makes it easy to build high. Now you just snapping foundations to the beams and filling in to make your tower base. Again anything outside can then be slowly cut away.

You can if it is a chest you have not yet looted. In other words. If you find a chest on an island you miss, then yes. But if it is tagged to the same contents as the chest on your main server then no -it will be empty of unique blueprints.. Best advice I can give is - start using pins as you explore - helps you know where you have actually been, vs just opening area up that was around your character that you may not have been loking at. There are over 50+ unique locations to explore - from Faction areas, to shipwrecks ( easy to miss a couple as they small), and islands. Opening the map up completely like this one really helps allot.

Rep is server based. If you have sharing on - that will allow rep and quest sharing. Turning it off means each person progresses on their own - rep as well.

The only discovery you will get on map is the waypoints - like Factions, etc. It is not on for all becasue players would not know where they have and have not yet explored if they not using pins and markers. So unless it changes - that is per individual. But you can place a bell down in a far away Island and they can port to it.

Using the ship to reveal land areas is all that is needed and you can cover a huge area in the brig and Frig ships - just use fastest one you have and see the swath coverage ahead of you to maximize it.

Reputation is not an individual setting - Turning Sharing off will turn it off. Sharing on server means you sharing rep progression and quest progression. Turning it off means each person quest and does rep on their own.

You can only have one as your flag ship to call out but you can jump on any of them and sail - just tag the one you want to recall as flagship in wharf. Also when playing with others - having a ship for storage for items you don't want taken - can then be stowed away as a storage locker so to speak.

The secret is having the storage in a central point like this Then you build freely within a massive area and no mods needed. to make it work perfect each time and place points like I have in the picture. You decide where your base center will be, then all the areas you want to build into those directions. I have a suspicion it might be a bug, because....we realized that we have TWO quests that all asks us to go to that cave and fight the guy. One is the main quest and one is a side quest named "A bitter pill" or something. The weird thing is that the main quest is lvl 4, while the side quest is lvl 9. In light of that it makes sense that the guy is so hard to beat. If he's supposed to be a lvl 9 mission.

In any case the guy just stomps on us and kicks us out of the cave in a casket. So we are just trying to slowly level up a bit more before trying again.

If you have found a shipwreck site then next step will be to find the materials to fix it. You then go around rescuing the crew members and THEN you can recall the big ship.

Has anyone tested the difference between adding a stat-based damage via something like a ring, vs a damage-type? Let's say you have a ring that does slash increase and a ring that does agility increase. Point per point, which does more to increase it? I'm not at my pc to test, and I will, but if someone's already figured it out I'ld love to see your results...

There are lots of videos on youtube going over this math. I personally used a ring to reduce stamina cost of attacking. From what I've seen, the slash increase will be better with stats over 20, since anything over 20 gives less of a bonus.

Yeah I got lucky and found one early on, you should theoretically be able to get it as a small percent off of any palm stump but the chances are higher for the big boys, same as the shrub and ficus seeds

The first copper mine on the first isle doesn't have any undead in it, so you can rush in, grab the goodies, and go. Be sure to bring some wood to make standing torches. And you can use the stone in the mine to make staircases if you really want to get all the stone and copper out.

Making gunpowder is sadly after the first boss. Gotta find corn in the second zone. For some reason.
Until that point, you gotta mug other pirates for their gunpowder, or find it in cloth bales in their camps.

yeah you have to wait until foothills and find sulfur and corn, but early game the pirate camps have sparkling supply crates that are radiant and respawn with the pirates so you can farm those for early gunpowder, I had like 300 gunpowder in a chest before I even reached foothills because I'm insane

Only around the coastal jungle parts, on the very edge. You're better searching on a full coastal jungle island, but they're still there.

also, which items remain in inventory when you die? For example if you have resources when you die, you get that death loot. But not everything drops from your inventory. I think I had an axe that stayed for example?

You can build market where you can order stuff for coins its best you can do. Normal trees does not respawn. Divi divi do but slow and not at the rate you would think.

Personally i divide my work if i need. For example if i need farm ore and stones i order 10 boxes of wood so meantime i farm ores with stones after 70m i get a lot of wood too.

Wood Respawn experiments
On DiviDivi Respawns (Does respawn, only about 40% of the grove respawns. Doesn't matter if you leave stumps or chop em) ```

So ALL wood, except DiviDivi which is about 40%, and NO plaguewood or tarwood? Normal wood still does?
