For whatever reason any time i chase dodge through opponenet (jump+direction -> dodge button) I cant cancel it into an attack before full CD anim ends. Would like to watch something with multiple examples of it (cancels at different lengths of chase dodge preferably).

I already posted this question but legitimately nobody was online so I only got one response:

I seriously need advice against gauntlets. I can handle most of it pretty well but the slight seems unbeatable to me.

It sends them sideways a good distance so they can dash and do it from a very safe distance. I can't just jump because it sends them up a bit and if they space it well they will hit me.

I can out range it, but its hard to punish because it sends them upwards into the air so sideways punishes and above punishes don't work (as they are above me diagonally).

If I just try to stay neutral they recover from the move so fast then can dair/sair/nair me depending on how I react to their move.

I have basically got past the hurdle where sig spammers farm me, and I can punish them. I can punish most weapons, but this move specifically I cannot do anything against. I would love advice for it.

axe dlight is amazing for punishing slight if you can space it on the ground, gauntlets depending on the spacing, slight or sair/nair would be really good, and sword you got advice for already - another thing, you dont always have to punish moves, if they miss and you dont feel like you can punish them, dont, since you'll just be punished for missing. if you notice they're doing a lot of slights in neutral try to judge the spacing they do slight at and be ready to punish it when they do it. also for sig spammers, always delay your approaches to them, try playing more aerial if you're super new, you can punish the ends of sigs instead of the active frames of them (time when the hitbox is out) and you're usually gonna be punishing sigs with light attacks, preferably true combos

first way is more inconsistent than the second

dlight > jump > cd > nair

if the dlight is gc-ed (gravity cancelled), you do not need to jump
the cd (chase dodge) is horizontal
this is a true combo on any dexterity

second and better way to dlight nair is the buffer version

dlight > buffer cd > nair

you buffer the cd by jumping in the first few frames of the cd emitting
the timing for this is very percise and will take a lot of practice
